I rarely post "hot takes" here, but I just saw something the Hundred Line fandom that I cannot be quiet about.
Earlier today, someone with the account @/your-fav-supports-israel (yes, a real account, I WISH i was kidding, it's run by @/snakeskinass and not a bot like I originally thought) posted today a message about how Eito Aotsuki would support Israel which is wrong on so many levels. Both morally and in the game sense.
Because for anyone who has actually played the game and not just gotten a suggestion for your zonist ass account, you would know that Eito fundamentality is the worst pick to support Israel because of two reasons.
He is an environmentalist terrorist who has called for the death of ALL of humanity because how it hurts the earth. Which BTW, the current genocide going into Gaza is actively polluting the earth currently due to the massive amount of attacks against it. Massive attacks caused by ISRAEL.
He is the character that stands up against the ACTIVE GENOCIDE IN THE GAME. While the word genocide does not show up in the Hundred Line, it is apparent that it is the main goal of the SDU on day 100. All of the Futurans would die in one fatal swoop so the people on the Artificial Satellite could take over and colonize the planet. Eito, while not aware of this plan from the start, actively sabotages this plan many times, saving the Futurans more than anyone else despite not knowing the scope of the full truth.
Not to mention the reflections of the characters reflect the current situation going on. The way that the SDU takes land from Futuran in the start is very much reminiscent of the way Israel takes land from Palestine and claims it as their own, even going so far as to nuke the planet and even make the planet inhabitable with poison gases, similar to how the IDF uses it against Palestinians constantly. Eito even goes to talk to Takumi about how ugly humanity is for taking the land from its original occupants, the Futurans.
And besides that, the account's supposed reason as to why Israel is in the right is that both sides have done wrong. I implore you to think, in what world is the slaughter of 56,772 Palestinians as of 25th June comparable to the attack on October 7th? It should not be this post that educates people on the horrors done upon Palestinians by Israelis since 1948 when Palestine itself has existed since the 15th century BC.
Israel occupies native land and purges the natives from the land. It is a 'country' that does not exist. NONE of Israelis are natives to the land. They are all settlers like the TRC upon Futurum and have caused countless disasters, genocide upon Futurans all just to claim the planet as their own, even to the point of making it inhabitable. If this is the exact thing Eito is against, then why in hell would he support zionists?
That aside, the account tags Eito Aotsuki and the Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. It occupies the tags of the fandom when no one wants to see it. Asides from the obvious political misinformation and canon misinformation, it goes against common sense, especially when I'm sure the account knows damn well it will incite hate and drama. If you as a person tag the fandom and name of the character you're posting about with an extremely hot take, it's on them for opening themselves to feedback that they treat as harassment.
Anyway, if you have gotten this far: Free Gaza, please support any charities if you can, and play the game if you are going to post any hot takes about.

I absolutely dislike when people clog tags with stupid politics like the damn "Your fav supports isr**l" account
Just saw E!to Aotsuk! there and holy fuck that completely goes against his character. Hell, he'd hate Isr**l and add it onto a list of reasons on why humanity should be wiped out.

I have a question since you seem to know about the other ranks, theta iota and all that. Could you enlighten me about the ranks and what they mean? Like gamma is like a peacekeeper right? Well at least from what I think from the insight of what I had. I'm still a bit confused on the newer ranks I've never heard of, if they are new that is.
(I’m guessing you’ve seen me around @omegaverse-headcanons hm?)
I’m actually just dumping my own headcanons because I see people use those terms but each author is different in how they go about it but here’s what I usually see/think
THE RARE DYNAMICS (ranked by occurrence)
Deltas (Δ) are socially submissive Betas (Β). Betas tend to be the right-hand man/woman, and then Deltas are the assistants to Betas. They don’t provide calming qualities like Betas do, but they are almost hyper-keen to things like attraction between two people, when a heat will occur, and what EXACTLY an Alpha/Gamma should do to win over a Omega/Sigma. They are also hyper-empathetic.
Gammas (Γ) are socially submissive Alphas (Α), they’re not as stubborn as their counterparts and are usually on the gentler side, but that doesn’t mean sweet Alphas are automatically Gammas. Gammas usually refrain from fighting and other shows of dominance, but don’t hesitate to smother Omegas with love.
Sigmas (Σ) are socially dominant Omegas (Ω), they are just as aggressive as Alphas and often fight with one another. Also, as children, Sigmas and Alphas do typically fight with one another, but due to Sigmas being biological Omegas, they’re still weaker. Sigmas often tease their Omega friends about their nesting habits, as Sigmas do not nest much outside of heat and pregnancy.
And here we get into the crazier stuff that I really don’t add in my personal universe but they do provide variety and extra windows for darkfics if you’re looking for them:
Epsilons (Ε) are the bridge between Alphas and Betas and only occur with an Alpha and a Beta parent. They are typically seen with Zetas (Ζ) and Iotas (I) Epsilons are similar to Alphas in their genitals but have the sharp teeth and scent of Betas. They do not have typical shows of dominance, but it’s very common for Epsilons to be cunning and tricking people to show their dominance (which is why people don’t trust Epsilons often).
Iotas (I) are the bridge between Omegas and Betas. They go through shorter heats, and have the sharp teeth and scents of Betas. Iotas typically need to be forced or tricked into submission which is why it’s very common for Epsilons and Iotas to be mated. They do not nest, they don’t care for it.
Zetas (Z) are the truly neutral. They don’t have pheromones or any special skills, and were actually considered genetically deficit until the late 20th century. Typically people will tell you Zetas are exempt from the hierarchy.
Thetas (Θ) are actually super dangerous. Thetas have a genetic mutation (that assumedly is a mutated Beta gene) that causes their “calming scent” to knock people out entirely, and it’s not uncommon for Thetas to be recruited by the army as soldiers. Thetas are required to take medication that blocks their scent, but they can pass for Zetas or Betas in public. Typically exempt from the hierarchy.
Complete hierarchy:
Alphas
Gammas
Epsilons
Betas
Deltas
Iotas
Sigmas
Omegas
Exemptions:
Zetas
Thetas
I’m probably going to make a sideblog for Omegaverse to keep it off my main blog for people who have questions for me about the extended a/b/o verse

Omegaverse Worldbuilding Starter Kit
Welcome to my beginner’s guide to writing Omegaverse! Here are some questions you can ask yourself while worldbuilding, but they are not all necessary! This is a pretty detailed guide, so pick and choose what applies to your omegaverse!
The first step I would recommend is doing some research! Look up basic guides. I put some links in this starter kit for examples and references. Now that you know a few things and are familiar with some common terms, you can start expanding and making it your own!
The Basics
How are omegas treated?
This is probably the most important question on the list. Omegas are usually at the center of worldbuilding for omegaverse, even if writers do it unconsciously, so how omegas are treated often shapes all of society. Of course, this is not set in stone. If you want an alpha-shaped or beta-shaped society, go for it. Keep this in mind as you worldbuild.
What are some things you want to include in your omegaverse?
What are things that are not acceptable in your omegaverse?
Here is an example post of things I will never support (as a normal part of life) in omegaverse.
Do you want your omegaverse to be more non-traditional or traditional?
What’s the difference?
What is your favorite thing about omegaverse?
Is your omegaverse NSFW heavy?
Are you more focused on the NSFW or SFW aspects?
What time period is your omegaverse set in?
Is your omegaverse based more on romance or platonic relationships?
When worldbuilding, I tend to be more invested in platonic relationships than romantic ones, so I have a lot more headcanons revolving around pack dynamics than mate headcanons.
Does your omegaverse have any special features? True Mates? Pack Bonds (mental links that packmates can feel and express emotion through)? Animal Shifters?
Who’s on top? What does the hierarchy look like?
For example, many people set their hierarchies either as Alphas on top or everyone as equal.
How much power do the dynamics have over each other?
For example, can Alphas control Omegas at will? This also ties into hierarchy.
What is the history of your omegaverse?
What is considered r*pe and consent?
Is there a difference between sex and dynamic?
Is primary gender (male, female, other) different from alpha, beta, omega or are they one in the same?
What does submission and domination look like? How does it impact day to day life?
Relationships
Is polyamory a part of your omegaverse? How are polyamorous relationships viewed?
Non-traditional pairings? Which pairings are looked down upon, if any?
For example, Beta x Alpha or Beta x Omega relationships are sometimes looked down upon in more traditional omegaverse set ups.
How do people become mates? Is there a mating bite? A ceremony? Do they spend a mating cycle together?
Are there mating traditions such as giving your partner a collar?
What does courting/dating behavior look like? Is it strict or more relaxed?
Do the packs of the parties involved need to consent to the courting beforehand? Is it arranged? Does it reflect modern society dating? Are interactions between parties supervised?
Society
What are problems in society specific to omegaverse?
In my omegaverse, the Omegas’ Rights Movement is a very large and pressing issue.
What is socially acceptable? What is not?
Disciplining mates in public? Forcing submission? Consent before heats?
How are education and jobs impacted by dynamic?
Can everyone work? Are there limits to what jobs people can hold?
What is considered appropriate and inappropriate behavior around strangers? Friends? Mates? Pack?
What is typical fashion of each dynamic, does it differ based on dynamic?
For example, Omegas may wear collars.
How do people rebel against stereotypes? What are the consequences?
How does presenting change social life?
How do people of the same dynamic interact with each other?
For example, sometimes, Omegas are best friends and need omega socialization, other times they hate each other and view each other as competition.
How is each dynamic treated in the workplace? Hospital? Restaurants?
How do people react if they don’t present as the secondary gender they thought they would be/wanted to be?
How are mating cycles viewed?
Opportunity to breed and have pups? Disgraceful and disgusting? Excuse for sex?
Health and Biology
How is health different (mental and physical)?
What medication is available?
Suppressants? Is there a side effect of taking suppressants or other medication?
Are there drugs that can send people into heat (often used at date r*pe drugs)?
How do scent glands work?
Anatomy in general?
Anatomy of male omegas and female alphas?
What are the ratios of the dynamics? Which is the most common?
A lot of omegaverses set Betas as the most common dynamic. Others put all of them as equal, or omegas as extremely rare, ect.
How do disabilities and mental health play into the dynamics and your omegaverse?
For example, here are my posts about gender dysphoria and ADHD in omegaverse.
How is trangender defined in your omegaverse? Is it even a part of your omegaverse? How is it viewed? Is it socially acceptable? What medications are available?
What about asexuality and aromanticism?
Are all heats and ruts sexual?
Here are some different types of heats and ruts.
How are mating cycles handled?
Who can help with mating cycles? What are people given/what do they do to help with mating cycles? For example, nests, pack’s clothes, etc.
Can betas experience mating cycles? If so, what are the conditions?
When do people present? Do they know their secondary gender from birth or find out later?
Who can get pregnant? Are babies delivered differently based on who is birthing them?
This would be dependent on anatomy.
Do Alphas have an Alpha Voice they can use to control others and make them submit? Who does the voice work on?
Packs
What defines a pack?
Are packs strictly blood-related? Are some packs blood-related and others not?
How are packs formed?
Can anyone become a pack leader?
How large are packs?
How are pack leaders chosen?
What does pack hierarchy look like?
What are roles in a pack?
Who are the most important members of the pack? The most protected? The most valued?
Can people be packless? Are there any side effects if they are?
Secondary Gender/Dynamics
What are the defining factors of each dynamic? Instincts? Scents? Other?
How do the dynamics differ?
What are the stereotypes of the dynamics in your omegaverse? Which are true, which are not?
Some Alpha and Omega stereotypes
What determines secondary gender? Genetics? Fate? Necessity based on pack?
Why and when do omegas nest? Do they only nest when they need comfort or are going into heat? Do they always have a nest?
Can alphas and betas nest or do something similar?
Do you include sub-genders/rare dynamics?
Here’s a post by @aboheadcannonsandmore which explains some rare dynamics.
Do omegas have rights?
Are omegas treated like their own people or viewed as property? Can omegas own things such as land? Do omegas need a legal guardian?
What role do betas fill?
Is there a double standard for Male Omegas and Female Alphas?
For example, female alphas are supposed to be strong and proper alphas but are also criticized if they are not feminine enough.
How does each dynamic soothe themselves and others? How do they react to dangerous situations?
There are a lot of things I didn’t address here, but worldbuilding is supposed to be fun and creative! Make it your own and don’t be afraid to be adventurous!
Happy writing!

I don’t know how I missed this piece from Clare McBride, but it’s an incredibly thorough argument for HP as being the start of what has since become a strong fandom cultural shift–and, I think, a vital read for anyone trying to engage with creator/audience dynamics as a whole. As someone caught in between (adjacent to creatives, and on the path to becoming one, but also adjacent to fandom, and still situated somewhat in them), it’s often hard not to feel like the conversation about what it means to discourse with fandom is incomplete. The case McBride makes here, that it comes down to a lack of understanding and education in fandom history, is one that I have made before, and one I really urge those on both sides of the issue to dive into.

Hello! I love your centaur art and it has inspired me to draw more centaur art of my own. However, I'm curious what you use as reference when designing their fashion. Some tips would be helpful if possible, thank you and keep up the great work.
Thank you! And Yaas! More centaur artists is everything I could hope for!!
I don’t really use anything specific as reference for their fashion, I’ve just collected a thousand tiny tidbits and ideas from horse rugs, human fashion, high-end racing and hunting gear for horses and then just combined it with (over)thinking about how their fashion would need to function in everyday life and then evolve over time.
Mostly all my basics are built from thinking about how centaur togas and robes (large squares of fabric straight off the loom and pinned about the body) evolving into tunics and pants (lots of cutting and sewing involved)

I usually have a belt at the waist as it helps better establish the silhouette and I imagine it would be a reasonable fashion choice, but also it could evolve over time to a corset/back brace for older taurs, as I imagine back problems are probably the most common ailment as they age.
Also think about what they would want to cover! The horse half probably wouldn’t need much protection from the elements but in my headworld (because it’s so easy to cover with a longer tunic) a proper centaur covers their horse front and the joint between horse and human unless they’re trying to show off or are working, much like human men’s pecs in public. However, (with the exception of high society city-taurs) they aren’t that shy about their hind-ends being visible, as they can’t reach all the way back there super well to adjust clothing and you have to make sure there’s plenty of *ahem* clearance for the tail in the name of hygiene.
In high-society and cities, it’s expected you have close-knit herdmates to help adjust and manage clothing, so they can get fancier with the drapery in hard-to-reach places like the hind end and rear legs.
Generally merchants are drawing their own carts of wares, so they are generally wearing a basic tunic and harness and therefore have their own fashion rules around harnesses (usually a fancier harness means a more successful merchant)
That’s just a bit of my thought process, hopefully that helps with a starting point! My centaurs tend to come from a more civilized society than most, but I think it’s more fun to explore that way!

Reading Snape through a queer lens
It’s funny how the years shape your opinions, and no matter how hard I try, I can never shake the idea of Snape as being queer – whether he’s gay, or bi, or genderqueer, or whatever…there’s something ‘different’ about Snape that makes me love him through a queer lens.
And for me, the most joyous moment is when Sirius calls him Lucius’ lapdog – because the implication and insinuation in that is so strong for anyone who has an awareness of what boarding school could be like in the 20th century.
So, it’s a full admission from me when I say that I’ve always read Snape through a queer lens – but I have, at times, read his relationship with Lily as being heteronormative, and subsequently taken it as read that he coveted a sexual relationship with her.
As I get older, that reading has made me more and more uncomfortable. I understand where the ‘nice guy’ criticism comes from – which, in fairness to JK, wasn’t such a trope when she wrote the books, and I don’t think she was aiming for.
But Snape’s ‘desire’ for Lily absolutely reduces his character from being someone powerful and interesting to well, a character who is a little pathetic – pining after someone who had no reciprocal interest, and who had clearly moved on.
So, let’s break down the heteronormative reading:
- Firstly, Snape and Lily are boy-meets-girl which is prevalent in our culture.
- Secondly, Voldemort reveals that Snape desired Lily.
- Thirdly, the way Snape reacts to Lily over James – particularly his possessiveness, and also: “The intensity of his gaze made her blush.”
The first can potentially be dismissed; we know for a fact that Lily is some variation of heterosexual, as she marries and has a child – but we know nothing about Snape’s sexuality.
The second can definitely be dismissed because the whole point of Voldemort’s character is that he doesn’t understand love. Interestingly, Snape must be presenting as some variation of heterosexual or bisexual for this to be credible to Voldemort. Furthermore, we see throughout the series that Snape consistently lies to Voldemort.
The last can be interpreted in a few ways; it could be a young teenage boy wrangling with his feelings…but it could be a young teenage boy who realises that he’s got competition for his best friend and a boyfriend will always rank more highly than a friend. The contrast of ‘he fancies you’ versus ‘I’m your friend’ is quite interesting.
And it’s here that the message is rather mixed – for a man who devotes his life to honouring Lily’s name, he doesn’t explicitly choose Lily; he wants to associate with Mulciber and Avery at the same time. For a 15 year old with raging hormones, he throws himself down the path of power…which follows his obsession with James, Sirius et al, who routinely strip him of his power. He doesn’t, at any point, attempt to woo Lily.
When Lily closed the door on Snape, he walked away. Canon doesn’t state that he sent her flowers, or wrote her letters, or hung about outside her house; it rather suggests that they left each other alone with no further contact.
So when Snape goes to the hill and begs Dumbledore to keep Lily safe, he isn’t doing it because he thinks that slaughtering her family will mean that the path is clear for him; he does so because:
- Lily is the only person in the Potter family who matters to Snape; if she hadn’t been at risk, he wouldn’t be defecting.
- James was his schoolyard bully. When James is long dead in the 90s, Snape still hasn’t moved on from how he was treated – Snape’s hardly likely to request a pardon for him…he’d probably be pleased if he was murdered.
- Harry was the baby in the prophecy. It’s not that I think Snape cares particularly either way about Harry – but that he believed that if Voldemort wanted to murder Harry, he wouldn’t be in a position to prevent it. I think he felt Lily could be spared, whereas Harry couldn’t.
You can read Snape’s acquiescence to Dumbledore’s suggestion to save the entire Potter family in two ways – either he sees it’s the only way to save Lily and accepts it, or he genuinely hasn’t thought any further than, “Lily must stay alive.” I rather subscribe to the latter, which makes it an incredible scene of selflessness and selfishness in one swoop (which is Snape all over; a mass of contradiction).
Our reading of Snape is distorted, because we read Snape-the-Spy. We don’t see any sign of Snape’s true character (which would probably have been present in his post-school Death-Eater years) – instead, we meet him when he seems to despise his occupation which he’s forced into, and he socialises with people who are useful to the cause, as opposed to who he wants to.
As it stands, we can categorically state that Snape doesn’t appear to move on from his love for Lily – but we don’t know how much of this is love or coveting of Lily, and how much is due to his role as a spy. We only have to look at Lucius and the way Voldemort treats Draco and Narcissa to see the dangers of having a family when you’re embroiled in warfare; Snape would be bringing a partner or a family into a war.
…so I think sometimes we fall back on thinking that Snape has spent 15-20 years crying over Lily, when actually, he hasn’t flaunted a relationship with anyone for fear of them being toyed with by his enemies as a way of reaching him.
For me, reading Snape as non-heterosexual helps to clear the path slightly. If we assume that he wasn’t interested in Lily sexually, the story is tilted slightly differently – and Snape’s story becomes one of guilt. Sirius tells us in OotP that many wizarding families followed Voldemort because his true thoughts weren’t apparent until it was too late, and I think Snape’s childhood, where his Muggle father seemingly dominated his magical mother, caused him to believe the two worlds should be separate.
We don’t learn much about Avery and Mulciber, although Snape doesn’t appear to have a particularly close relationship with them post-school. The rest of the Death Eaters present as varying degrees of insane, with the Malfoys being notable exceptions – and it would be credible to suggest that Lucius groomed Snape for his own ends, suggesting a bit of a power imbalance in their relationship.
However, we also see how Snape isn’t – despite Dumbledore standing up for him, and it not being proven until GoF that Snape was a Death Eater – really trusted by anyone on the side of the light. It’s easy to see how Snape, who was bullied and almost murdered by a group of boys who were subsequently groomed into the Order, wouldn’t have aligned himself with any group they were in or with Dumbledore.
So that leaves, in his entire shabby life, Lily. Her death stunts him emotionally because it turns out that she was the only person who seemed to like him for who he was. Yet, he ignored her warnings, followed the wrong path, and was implicated in her death (committed by those he was aligned to). He tried to make amends, but it was too late – which is the story of their friendship.
Lily became an emblem of the path he should’ve taken and somewhat perversely, when Lily dies, Snape “becomes” Lily. With Lily’s love for Harry keeping him safe in Surrey, Snape’s love for Lily causes him to take up the role of protector at Hogwarts. Snape also assumes her patronus (or what we’re led to believe is her patronus), which is strongly coded as feminine – suggesting that it’s transformed, and isn’t his natural patronus.
Somewhat ironically, when Snape leaves his own path and takes on Lily’s preferred route, he becomes everything she’d have been impressed by: a teacher, Head of House, and ultimately, Headmaster – and he gained the prestige and power he coveted as a youth.
We start the story knowing that James and Lily were an item long before we discover that Snape and Lily had a friendship. When we finally discover James and Snape didn’t like each other, and Lily and James ended up together, we assume that Snape treats Harry badly because James got the girl.
But that’s a huge reduction. Snape doesn’t hate Harry because he’s James and Lily together; Snape hates Harry because he’s James. We see throughout the series that Snape is the only character who refuses to acknowledge any amount of Lily in Harry (until, arguably, his dying moments). Snape hates Harry because he looks exactly like the boy who tortured him for 7 years, and because he perceives Harry to be an arrogant rulebreaker, in the same way that James was.
So no, I don’t think Snape was pleased that James and Lily ended up together, but not particularly because he was jealous. Instead, it was the idea that he lost his best friend to his school bully – and that his own actions helped to push her that way.
And that reads a whole lot more neatly to me than Snape coveting a relationship with Lily.
Of course, you don’t need to read Snape through a queer lens to draw these conclusions; he could well have been heterosexual and either had a crush on Lily whilst they were friends but grew out of it, or he could’ve been heterosexual and not interested in Lily at all. But if you read Snape as a celibate heterosexual, you do end up drawn down the Nice Guy path.
Instead, Snape’s ‘pure of heart’ patronus rather suggests that he was genuine in his feelings, which points to him regretting the death of his childhood friend, rather than him feeling as if he friendzoned and missed out on a relationship that was somehow owed to him – and a queer lens rather helps to clarify that stance.
