This is a sad day

I wanted to go revisit a part of my Wild Kratts fandom childhood, aka that Caramelldansen animation. You know, the one that made Gourmand kawaii and put in a redhead poacher villain OC. That I mentioned in a post about this video back in March 2023.

Turns out that the channel that made it is gone, and so has the video. And I'm finding no reuploads of it ;-;. Pls has someone saved the video out there, I need to see it!!! I regret not preserving it.

I wanted to know if this fanfiction made featuring the villain OC (Vermillion Sokolov) was still intact. But Fanfiction.net is just screwing me over, but at least the page for this character on there still shows up in Google results!

After rewatching most of the series, i have come to a very heartbreaking fact about zach. In all of the episodes where he teams up with the other villains, they seem to get along relatively well with each other, but zach to them is like a huge nuisance. 

LIKE,,,donita and gourmand get along well enoug but just because he cant think of an idea they are like “…”

But what really sells this for me is that

HE WILL CONTINUE TO ASK THEM TO JOIN HIM FOR STUFF.

I genuinely think he is incredibly lonely and really just wants attention and friends, thats why he is the way he is. This is the same dude that talks to his zach bots for fun and will lay out his evil plans to them. Why? BECAUSE HE WANTS SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO HIMMM

Not a wild explorer

You go with Martin and Chris in an adventure for the first time, but things are not in your favor.

Wild Kratts x gn!reader (platonic)

Warnings: none

You are part of the Kratts team for half a year now. It's rare for you to go outside however, no matter how much the boys call you to join them in their adventures.

As a member of the Wild Kratts team, you've had the privilege of meeting various fascinating habitats without necessarily venturing outside. While Chris and Martin were out exploring the Amazonian rainforest, the African savannah or the depths of the ocean, you were content with supporting them remotely from the Tortuga HQ.

But one day the brothers were insisting a lot for you to go. They came in saying that there was a lizard that needed medical help, and who were you to say no to this?

You ran outside with them, but considering your bad luck and lack of experience in nature, as soon as you stepped off the Tortuga, chaos ensued.

You weren't even five steps away from the ship when you tripped on a root and face-planted into mud. A few minutes later, you got tangled in vines, requiring Chris and Martin's rescue. Then a curious monkey snatched your binoculars, and when passing by a river a playful otter splashed you, soaking your gear.

You could hear the boys laughing, you sent them a death glare as you shook your feet to try to dry your tennis.

You couldn't wait to go back to your worktable at the Tortuga ship, your legs and back were aching and you couldn't feel your feet anymore.

Trudging through the dense underbrush, your eyes scanned the terrain, desperately seeking the elusive lizard. Suddenly, a twig snapped beneath your foot, sending you tumbling into a nearby bush.

Chris and Martin, ahead of me, burst into laughter. "You okay?" Chris chuckled.

I emerged, disheveled and dust-covered. "Yeah...just peachy."

Martin grinned. "You're a natural-born adventurer!"

I shot them a sarcastic smile. "Can we just find this lizard already?"

After some minutes of more walking the boys finally saw the lizard. Their yell of joy jumpscared you. In an usual situation you'd be happy for them, but in an usual situation you'd also be on your worktable waching everything through a screen. Right now you were covered by mud, water and leaves all around your hair.

"The lizard is up there." Chris gave you his binoculars, and on the highest branch, there was the lizard.

"No, no, no! Absolutely not!" You exclaimed, eyes widening in terror. "You can't be serious! My climbing skills are limited to the Tortuga's ladder, and that's with a safety harness!"

Chris grinned. "Come on, it's easy! We'll spot you."

Martin chimed in, "Yeah, we've got ropes and gear. Piece of cake!"

I shook my head vigorously. "I'm not risking my neck for a lizard! Why don't you just bring it down so I can give a better look?"

"Because it's leg is stuck on the branch, we want to unscrew it without hurting it." Martin explained.

You huffed. "Fine, but if I end up in a body cast, I'm blaming you two!"

Chris and Martin high-fived each other, grinning.

Martin handed you a harness. "Don't worry, we've got you secured!"

You took a deep breath, clipped in and began climbing. Branches swayed ominously.

Chris encouraged, "You're doing great! Almost there!"

A twig snapped and you wobbled, but Martin caught your hand.

"Gotcha!" he said reassuringly.

Chris beamed. "Told you! It wasn' that hard!"

"Okay, I'm up here." You sat on the tree. When your eyes fell on the lizard, however... "Uh, but it seems fine? I mean, you said it was an emergency."

"Well, about it... it wasn't." they give you blamed smiles. "We just wanted you to leave the Tortuga for a bit. You've been working too much in there."

You glared at the brothers, your exhaustion boiling over. "You dragged me up here, risking life and limb, just to get me out of the Tortuga?!"

Chris shrugged. "We worried you'd burn out."

Martin added, "You need fresh air ... and adventure!"

I fumed, "Fresh air? Adventure? I've had enough 'fresh air' to last a lifetime! And 'adventure'? You call almost killing me an adventure?!"

The lizard, sensing tension, scurried away.

You threw up your hands. "Great, now you've scared off the reason I'm stuck in this tree! And it didn't even need help!"

You tried to climb down, but just then you realized how high you were. You felt dizzy and tried to hold on, but you fell. The boys grabbed your legs, but they fell too and the three of you rolled in a ball till a nearby river.

You left the water and sat up, coughing water from your lungs. "You...idiot brothers! You nearly killed me!" You shouted, shivering and soaked.

Chris and Martin grinned, helping you up.

Martin chuckled. "Mission accomplished! You're officially out of the Tortuga!"

Chris added, "And we got awesome footage!"

You scowled, teeth chattering. You stared at the brothers, who smiled at you, and you sighed. You were angry at them, yes, but you couldn't stay angry for too long when you knew their intentions weren't to throw you on a river.

Your face softened. "Next time, just invite me for a picnic."
