I'm Tate, and I'm more-or-less your average Zillennial; delightfully queer, underpaid, and overanxious. If you're an awkward, well-intentioned nerd, I think we'll be friends. I have to get real for a second - Our world is at war, and if for any reason you find yourself siding with genocide Joe, then you can go ahead and block or disfollow me thanks. A woman went viral for being turned down for a next interview for a role, she asks the recruiter what she did wrong, the recruiter tells her they were “concerned about her lack of effort in her appearance.”
She explains she wore a freshly ironed blazer with a collared top. Her nails were painted a professional beige. She got a blowout for her hair, so a professional style. She had on subdued gold earrings.
The only thing she wasn’t wearing was makeup; she states she really doesn’t wear makeup, and only had chapstick on, as her skin is sensitive. Her lawyer mother has already explained she has no legal case against the company for any type of gender-based discrimination.
Just in case anyone wants to ask why feminists still refer to the “pink tax” or rail against more and more elaborate makeup trends being pushed on girls and women.
Women being punished socially for not wearing makeup is still a feminist issue.

People seem to not know how old writers are when they make their stories.
Stephanie Meyer wrote Twilight in 2003, at age 29
Cassandra Clare started writing Mortal Instruments in 2004, at age 31
Rick Riordan published Percy Jackson & the Olympians, the book about 12yrolds, at age 41
George R. R. Martin published A Game of Thrones, at age 48
You can't even use the "but fanfiction isn't real writing" argument because of how many fanfiction turn movies there is. They are clearly enough of a story to be made into published books.
Anna Renee Todd's After series was a Harry Styles fanfiction, which was published in 2014, when she was 25
E.L. James Fifty Shades of Grey series was a Twilight fanfiction, which was published in 2011, when she was 48
Mortal Instruments was a Harry Potter fanfiction.
Why must they act like After someone turns 20 their life ends, like people can't have hobbies???
