Recently I have been very sick from spending a lot of time on the streets, enduring cold and this worsened my health, I was afraid this would happen, and it did. I have to be with oxygen cylinders to be able to breathe better when I got agitated, I am lacking a lot of air, and I am left without breathing, I am going to be discharged but I need to be in a cool, warm place, without humidity, and they ask me to take care of me a lot.
Unfortunately I do not have all the resources to keep me safe, that is why I need your help, whatever you can contribute to me will be of great help.
What happens when you defend a drag show from the armed transphobes who threatened to murder attendees? In Texas, first you get arrested on bullshit charges, then a "Christian fascist fraternity" sues you for violating their "right" to attack drag queens and their fans. When two people facing this situation contacted the International Anti-Facist Defence Fund, we stepped in to help them with their legal costs, because we have the backs of anyone willing to protect people from transphobic violence. You should too, here's how:
Chris' crowdfunder
Aeshna's crowdfunder
If you also think that having a standing fund to come to the aid of anti-fascists in emergency situations like this = a good idea, you should contribute to that fund right here!
Since it's election year in the US, I think everyone should check open secrets to see if the candidate they're voting for has taken money from AIPAC. Any vote cast towards a recipient of AIPAC funds is a vote cast towards the genocide of Palestinians.
We toss out over 80 pounds of textiles each year. These textiles are often made of plastic materials (polyester, nylon), made in unethical conditions, dyed with harsh dyes that often get put into the rivers, etc. Even a single cotton shirt releases carbon emissions and uses tons of water.
So the best thing to prevent the unsustainable growth of the fashion industry is to make sure that your clothing lasts as long as possible. To do so, mending clothing is a must. So here are some resources to help you learn how to do various things, such as sewing a button, to tailoring clothes, or even upcycling old clothing into new styles.
* How to sew on three different types of button
* How to hand sew on a patch on a torn pair of jeans
* How to sew up a hole in an old shirt
* How to sew a simple T-shirt
* How to upcycle old clothing into new clothing
* More upcycle and sewing techniques
* How to repair a damaged sock
* How to do an invisible stitch
* 3 different stitches to work with for different results
* How to make a T-shirt smaller so it fits you better
* How to make repairs to your shoes
These are just a few of the things that you can do in order to make sure that your clothing lasts for a long time. Nobody wants to keep buying new clothing, as it is expensive and wasteful.
So making alterations to your clothing, or fixing small holes hen you see them can be hugely beneficial to your wallet, to garment workers, and to the environment in the long term.
"Tee-hee can't LIVE without my Starbucks! McDonald's is just too good! Eating McDonald's rn!"
People are dying. Innocent people. Innocent children. Homes and Hospitals are being bombed. People are starving. And you're telling me you'd rather have innocent people suffer..than give up an overpriced coffee or a fattening burger?
You truly are a disgusting excuse of a human being.

Hey, amidst the chaos of... everything on the internet, pay attention to Hawaii/Hawai'i!
There have been plans from a non Hawaiian organisation to build a 5 acre parking lot, 13 lot subdivision and a comfort station for tourists on the ridge of the sacred Pololū Valley!
This project doesn't acknowledge Pololū Valley as a wahi pāna (a celebrated and storied place in the cultural traditions of Hawaii/Hawai'i) and instead treats it as just plain land that can be sold to a highest bidder.
Pololū Valley is anything but that.
So please sign the petition to stop this project! As of writing this, 883,470 people have, but we need more!
Petition to protect Pololū Valley
Reblog to reach more people, please! Don't just like and move on, sign the petition and make sure more people see this!
