I feel like people often don't realise that media and generally things "meant for kids" can be really good for mentally ill adults.

Movies and shows aimed at adults often are full of distressing plots and imagery. Don't get me wrong, I love movies that can stir up emotion but often I don't need extra anxiety on top of my own.

My favourite movie is My neighbour Totoro because I know there's really not that much happening and everything ends well. And some dude whose whole personality is based on Joker wants to laugh at me?

Go and do and watch whatever makes you happy. Sleep in piles of plushies, watch cartoons, play silly games, collect models and wear colourful mismatched outfits. Enjoy life the way you need!

Do you have any anime recommendations lol I finished bsd and now I need more

Omggg I love this question. So here's some of my favorite anime and like what they're about based on my personal opinions. I'm also writing descriptions as if the person reading has never heard of these anime cuz it's easier:

Bloopy's Anime Recs

Hetalia

THIS IS PURE CRACK AND I LOVE IT, its basically what if the countries of the world were personified and its so funny and each episode is 5 min long so its good if u don’t want something too serious. (But you have to watch it in English not Japanese cuz its funnier in English)

Haikyuu!!

Volleyball anime, did not think it was interesting until my sister forced me to watch it and now I’m in love. The characters are all so funny and relatable. nice when you wanna wind down. Is super popular atm too and the manga recently finished which is why its getting a lot of hype.

Gekkan-Shoujo-Nozaki-Kun

This is an ADORABLE slice of life high school anime and high-key my favorite one of this genre. The characters are actually the cutest and its got romance in it. (Basically how this girl is in love with a guy who writes romance manga but he’s the dumbest person ever for IRL situations and its sooooo funnyyyyy), and all the side characters are literally adorable-I think its on Netflix but idk for sure

Owari no Seraph

Vampires vs vampire fighters. Its pretty cool and the first episode leaves you shook, idk if they’re gonna make a 3rd season anytime soon tho. I also think its on Netflix

Tokyo Ghoul

haven’t seen it myself but my sister says its good. Basically ghouls that survive off of eating humans have to live amongst humans and not get caught by ghoul hunters. Its an interesting plot and its a super popular anime

Attack on Titan

Kinda gory but super popular and honestly an amazing anime. Basically a universe where titans (big monsters) live and eat humans so humans have to survive by living in an isolated society and fighting them

Free!

Another sports anime this one is about swimming, and the first sports anime I ever watched. It's got a special place in my heart and honestly the characters are all so lovable I'm so sad it's almost over 😭😭😭😭

Clannad + sequel Clannad After Story

Another high school romance one which is also cute. Slice of life so its not a super fast and hyped up plot but its a great fluff anime. Warning can get very sad ughhhh

My Hero Academia

Basically what if people had superpowers and you had a bunch of superpowered kids that have to go to a high school together. Its pretty funny and the characters are so likable. Also yes it may sound childish but its not I swear its cool. Its also a very popular anime especially because the manga is still ongoing.

Death Note

This one is more psychological creepy type but its one of the most popular anime for a reason. Plot is basically a guy finds a book where if u write someones name they die like 2 min later immediately and it starts a whole lot of drama. Its pretty interesting but definitely not a lighthearted story lol

Erased

Another psychological one. Guy has the ability to rewind time and uses it to stop his mothers murder. Very good and also on Netflix

Kaguya-sama Love Is War:

Basically the president and vice president of a student council at an elite school are trying to get each other to confess that they have feelings and whoever confesses first is basically the loser. So funny and sooo adorable especially the main heroine!

Tokyo Revengers

My latest obsession!! It's about a young man who ends up finding out he can travel back through time and decides to save his old girlfriend. This leads him to get caught up in gang wars, meet a bunch of funny people, and basically get beat up every episode. There's a good amount of serious moments too and the exploration of how one change in the past can cause huge ripple effects in the future!

Daily Lives of Highschool Boys

It's literally an anime about three boys who have the most mundane lives ever because nothing interesting happens and yet it is somehow so funny and such a nice stress reliever!

The Way Of The Househusband

A special short anime series about a former mafia boss who is now a Househusband and his adventures regarding that. And he keeps running into old mafia people with his frilly apron on while shopping and running errands. Honestly this man is literally perfect and I'd love to marry him too sooo yeah

Assassination Classroom

A bunch of kids are tasked by the government to kill their teacher (who's an indestructible octopus) by the end of the school year. It's got humor, romance, watching kids grow and mature, and lots of cute deep moments. Honestly it's a bit older than most things on the list but that's fine it's still gold!!

Jujutsu Kaisen

One of the biggest new gen anime! It's great if you like action and fighting anime as well as supernatural elements. The first couple of episodes may seem a little boring to some people (feedback I've gotten from others) but honestly I love it. It's got amazingg characters and one of my favorite MCs who's such a sweetheart!! You should definitely give it a try!
