(taurus and leo are like a royal wedding. they are regal and romantic, righteous and relaxed. drama, daisy-picking and dancing in the dark, earth and fire fuse together to form a sculpture of passion and art.)

this pairing is one of luxury, of heavy mood and heavy velvet draping over them at night. taurus, the earth goddess, the romantic, artistic, gorgeously grounded goddess, comes together with leo, the ruler of life and art and everything glorious and joyful. in my opinion, they either really work, or really don’t. when they don’t, it’s hard not to notice because taurus becomes sullen and stubborn, neglectful of their sensitivities and even cold and uncaring, while leo turns into an obstinate child, a roaring lion, depending on the day. their confidence plummets when nobody loves them, and to puncture a leo’s confidence is to puncture their heart and watch their soul evacuate. arguments are scary things with these two, they are both stubborn and passionate people, when something hurts them they give as good as they get.

and yet still, they can’t turn off their feelings. taurus will still feel sympathy for leo, will want to hold them until it’s all over and calm again. and leo will want nothing more than to cover taurus in kisses, to make them laugh, to laugh with them. they are connected by a square, a difficult aspect to be sure, but there’s no need for it to be a romantic death sentence - squares teach a lesson. the lesson here is about patience and compassion, because with patience comes understanding, and with understanding comes compassion. and with compassion, taurus can let go of their stubbornness and can soothe leo, filling them to the brim with confidence and love. and a leo in love? oh, they’re magical! they will take their taurus and spin them round the room, dancing and singing and laughing and crying with them. they can give taurus all the joy in the world, all the affection, all the gifts, all the fun. when they can be nice to each other and learn to let go of petty squabbles, they can become something stunning and soothing, happy and healthy, everlasting and ever loving.
