Hey so did you know that the Mars rover Perseverance has an instrument called SHERLOC which is studying the composition of the soil, and an accompanying camera called WATSON that is documenting everything?

In 2024 they've been exploring somewhere called the "Beehive Geyser", except SHERLOC's cover got stuck (presumably resulting in grit affecting a sensitive instrument?)

I feel very normal about this.

The frustrating thing is we had this figured out for a bit. Many of the remotes I remeber coming with set top box's for like sky and virgin media, had letters under the numbers on the digit pad. And you could type like you could on an old mobile phone by pressing a number multiple times to cycle through 4 or so letters.

What's frustrating is I've seen remotes labeled like that but your always forced to use an unbearably slow on screen keyboard.

Also as a side note honestly I think if you want "smart" features on a TV your best off getting a bespoke device to plug in to the TV or use a games console. They drop support for most TVs after just a few year I really don't see the point. Like a games console will have support for a good 8 years or longer for most apps. Hell the PS3 Netflix app still works and I believe its had fairly recent updates for blueray certificates! And even if a device or console dose lose support, it's significantly easer to replace that then like 40 inch TV or whatever

I needed to clean the volume nob on an old radio and I realised I didn't have a pepet to poor the isopropyl alcohol into the pot. But I could find a paper straw and I did the old thumb over the hole trick to keep the alcohol in the let go when I had it close to the hole in the pot
