This blog may end up on the backburner, maybe sent to be owned by my inactive old main account. I've got far too many active side blogs that I regularly update and it's hurting my brain to have all these different blogs with all these different profile pics that I update from time to time and then trying to link all these blogs on my Carrd and YouTube channel... I realized that this is getting overwhelming and I need to start condensing my accounts!
If you want to see more of my work, check out my Carrd here. My main blog is @thebigendercosmonaut.
Feel free to mass reblog any resources you want from here, though I'm unlikely to delete the blog. Instead, I've been reposting my own resource posts to other blogs.
Thanks for sticking around if you did!

šŸŒæAn Earth Day fusion repost from @theimeu and @muchachafanzine.
šŸŒæIn honor of Earth Day, please visit @zaytoun_cic, @handmadepalestine, or @plant.eenolijfboom to plant an olive tree in Palestine. šŸ•Š
šŸŒæFrom @theimeu:
This Earth Day, we mourn the 34,000+ Palestinians killed by Israel in Gaza and Israelā€™s continued degradation of Gazaā€™s land, water, and other natural resources that make life possible for Palestinians.
In the past 6 months alone, Israel has destroyed farmland and greenhouses, contaminated natural resources with hazardous materials, bombed key water purifying infrastructure and wells, and created conditions for epidemics caused by an extreme excess of sewage, waste, and pollution.
Israelā€™s systematic destruction of Gazaā€™s environment is part of its goal of making life for Palestinians in Gaza unlivable.
Link in bio to contact your reps and urge an immediate, permanent ceasefire and the immediate suspension of all arms and funds to Israel.
Sources: The Guardian, Scientific American
šŸŒæFrom @muchachafanzine:
Reminder this #EarthDay that from Turtle Island to Pa1estine, your environmentalism doesnā€™t mean sh!t if you donā€™t support giving the #LandBack to Indigenous people. šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

Please pray and raise awareness for Cole Brings Plenty, a Lakota actor and student. He was found on april 5th. Whoever killed him also cut off his braids. This is such an awful and cruel act of violence, im having a hard time finding the words.
April 8th Rising Hearts has organized Braids for Cole, so please wear your hair in braids and bring awareness so that Cole and his family can get justice.

so i study decolonization, as in i studied it as part of my degree, and i thought I'd make a list of some readings/films that might offer additional insight about decolonization (it also helps if you're tired of the christian moralistic thinking)
occupation 101 (can be found on youtube i believe, it's about the history between isreal and palestine, it focuses on palestinians and it is quite comprehensive. there's live footage, there's interviews with palestinian children, etc. it's a must watch i think, regarding palestine. it points the finger squarely at the united states.)
the wretched of the earth, franz fanon. fanon is really well known in the decolonization sphere because he writes about it in a very succinct and clear way. to him, decolonization can never occur peacefully, and i think that's a really important key lesson. he also talks about how colonizers don't just take land, they reframe ideas, they take language, art, thoughts.
the battle of algiers, 1966. this is a fascinating film, it's sort of a documentary, they got the actual people to play their parts. it describes and interviews the main individuals involved in the fight for independence within Algiers. i think understanding how a nation can gain independence over its colonial forces is really important in the grand scheme of decolonialism.
unthinking eurocentrism. if you can get your hands on it, i love this text. it's so poignant and it lays everything out so clearly and it really shows how we center our worlds around eurocentrism and westernism.

With the liberation of Palestine, every other group oppressed and suffering from genocide will be free as well. Recognize the genocides and look for freedom.
Free Armenia (genocides perpetrated by the Ottomans and the current occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh)
Free Sudan (mass rapes and murders are occurring there by the hand of the RSF. Sudan has the biggest displacement crisis in the world with +9 million people displaced)
Free Western Sahara (abandoned by the Spanish State in 1975, who is responsible for the celebration of the referendum of independence that has been frozen for over 50 years, currently occupied by the Alawite government of Morocco)
Free Congo (children forced to extract metals used for electronic devices in terrible conditions alongside mass displacement and violence. (DONĀ“T BUY NEW PHONES YOURS IS FINE. QUIT VAPING AND IF YOU CANĀ“T, REUSE THEM)
Free the American Natives (Landback!!)
Free Ukraine (Holomodor and Russian aggression)
Uyghur genocide (PeopleĀ“s Republic of China sending native inhabitants to concentration camps and re-education camps)
This is by no means a comprehensive list, please add more to this in the reblogs.
CONDEMN THE STATES AND COLONIES OF FRANCE, THE USA, UK, GERMANY, SPAIN, JAPAN AND RUSSIA FOR THEIR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. DEMAND RESPONSIBILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GENOCIDES.

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.
In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Childrenā€™s Relief Fund.
The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.
I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. (My messages are set to mutuals only, but if you donate and we arenā€™t mutuals if you send an ask with the proof I will make sure to answer it privately.)

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:
palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to upload pictures. information on each village varies.
zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.
the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.
many villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.
wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do.
all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold.
