A refined iteration of my character design. I made my own textures and scanned them in to give a weathered look to my character’s boots, bag, shorts and travel maps.

Parts of the design I’ve fixed: sewn patches and trail blazing symbols on hiking bag, muddy boots, shoelaces, stained map, asymmetrical horns and frayed shorts.

More character iterations focusing on Jadwiga’s design.

I researched the native flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountains to develop the world that my character inhabits. I also tried iterating folkloric creatures such as the cactus cat (a fearsome critter from the American southwest) to serve as supporting characters. Digital iterations were drawn in Photoshop. Sketches were drawn with graphite and copic markers.
