Shipping goggles off, why is Wesker desperate on wanting Chris to understand him/his goals/his vision? He made it clear that he hates Chris and Chris doesn't give a shit about Wesker's plans except only to stop them, so why would Wesker care about being understood by him if he's going to kill him regardless? By RE5 Chris no longer gave a cares about Wesker and just wanted to put him down, so why would Wesker waste his time and energy trying to get Chris to understand him? Does Chris's opinion and view on him actually matter to Wesker? What purpose would it serve if Chris understood? What would Wesker gain by it? Did he want Chris to submit/side with him and/or validate him as a 'god'? Why does he want Chris specifically to see the world/his plans through his eyes? Was Chris the only one who he believed would understand him?

"Soon even YOU will understand, Chris." Even Chris? Wth did he mean by that? What was he going to do or say that would make even Chris understand?

Then there's also the matter of wanting to keep Chris alive; that infamous plane scene where he aims his Samurai Edge at Chris with no finger on the trigger, clearly having no intention of firing/killing Chris. Keeping Chris alive to see his plans succeed, but doing that poses the risk of Chris killing him beforehand. It's only when Chris gained the upper hand did Wesker realise that he if he didn't kill Chris now then he would potentially die. Up until then Wesker always had the upper hand and control (was massively overconfident in his powers that to him he was unkillable), he would spare Chris knowing he wasn't able to kill Wesker, he could kill Chris whenever he saw fit and on his terms, it was HIS decision when and where Chris would die if it came to that moment. Also he seemed to have tunnel vision on Chris in RE5, nobody else mattered and he barely acknowledged Sheva who was helping Chris.

Chris Redfield for the character ask game?

My first impression I think I was indifferent about him because I didn't know much him apart from the boulder meme when I was first getting into Resident Evil. The first ever RE game I played was RE2R so I really didn't know anything about the series or it's characters ^^'

My impression now LOVE THE GUY. But his story/history is way more tragic than I realised, I just hope he gets some kind of closure or happy ending after everything he's been though.

Favourite thing about that character That he's a caring and protective person, even to his arch nemesis, Wesker. When Wesker betrayed him, shot Eniro and Rebecca, openly mocked him when Wesker had a gun in his hand and yet STILL wanted to save him when the tyrant attack. He takes the death of friends, team members and innocent people (and maybe even Wesker) personally, he cares about EVERYONE.

Least favourite thing I don't know if I even have anything I don't like about him as a character. The only thing I don't like that's associated with him in the fandom is the whole 'bloodline' meme about him, it's kinda annoying. B/

Favourite line/scene "Why does it always feel like I'm trapped inside a horror movie?" (he says it in RE5 and in DBD, but in DBD he says 'monster' instead of 'horror' ;D) My favourite scenes are the fight with Arias and with the zombies in Vendetta.

Favourite interaction that character has with another The moment on the jet when he and Wesker are aiming their guns at each other (well any interaction with Wesker is a favourite ^^')

A character that I wish that character would interact with more Wesker and Leon 😶💦

A headcanon about that character Part of him regrets killing Wesker/part of him died when Wesker did, his death hit him harder than he wants to admit. Also he made graves for both Wesker and Piers in a location only he knows. He visits them whenever he can.
