We’re here to settle the score. To smoke out the rats, the corruption, and every ounce of wrongdoing so we can get our city and our dignity back. We're conspiring with your worst enemies, your best friends, the people you don't even know exist. We see and hear it all and our days of wallowing in the shadows of New York's monsters are over. The Othello Halloween Blackout Party boasted a huge, costumed crowd with Blacklisters galore in attendance. It was a night of Halloween horrors - did you see some of those costumes? - and a ton of Halloween hook ups, and you know we have the dirt on all of it. If you don’t make it into this exposé, fear not. This is only part one of our coverage of the night. Where to begin...
Perhaps one of the more offensive moments of the night was the “gentleman’s bet” between Tommy Kane and Haneul Burk. Just as the party began, the pair were overheard making a game out of who can get with the most people, the fastest. Feeling objectified yet? No? Wait until you hear the prize: loser cooks the winner a meal. You read that correctly; the person who conquers the most partygoers gets fed.
Let’s review how that played out for them. Your friendly neighborhood mechanic struck out early with one Silas Black, who was overheard refusing to take him home because Haneul was too drunk. Burk very nearly landed Alexa Caldwell next, though she slipped through his fingers after a heavy make out session in the middle of the dancefloor for something a tad more dramatic of her own… but more on that later. Then, as best we could tell with the lights out, he spent the blackout cowering in the corner, afraid of the dark, before sobering up just enough to get Silas to agree to take him home at the end of the night. Burk shouldn’t feel too proud of himself for that one though – Silas is a hunk, but his ego had just taken a hit after being rejected by Cassie Bennett, a bartender sixteen years his junior. Sleazy. Good on you for turning him down, Cassie.
For those keeping score, that’s one for Haneul.
Tommy spent the earlier part of the evening flirting with Haneul – that’s how the bet came to be – and then worked his charm on the very next person he came across. The janitor and his conquest got drunk, got dancing, and then went home together. Just like clockwork. Kane’s no stranger to the casual hookup. It’s clear this pattern is the norm for the guy. Over the last few weeks and as recent as a couple of days ago, he’s been spotted all around the city flirting his way into the pants of several other Blacklisters. So much so, in fact, that It would be easier to list the Blacklisters he hasn’t hooked up with. We sure do hope he’s getting tested.
And who was it Tommy managed to bag for his gentleman’s bet at the Blackout? None other than Dr. Brody Levi, the Chief Medical Examiner in Queens. A source tells us the pair grew up together and are longtime, childhood friends. In fact, the janitor appears to be Brody’s only friend. The doctor has been spotted dropping off groceries to Kane’s apartment, bringing him along to crime scenes –is that even legal?– and most notably, leaving together in a cab in the middle of the Halloween party after a heated kiss on the dancefloor. It certainly doesn’t take a genius to piece together what happened when they got back to Levi’s home that night.
It also doesn’t take a genius to see that Kane used him for the bet, though we expect that will be a very disappointing realization for Brody. Heartbreaking, even. A reliable source tells us that Brody is “100% lovesick” over Tommy, that it’s clear as day in the way he looks at the guy. We hope he wasn’t whispering sweet nothings in your ear, Brody, because he certainly doesn’t mean them. The way he skirted out of your building right after should be evidence enough of that. Did you enjoy waking up alone?
Final score for the night, by our count, is as follows: Haneul – one, Tommy – one. All that trashy objectification and there’s not even a winner. Boo. There were no parameters set about when the wager ends though, so for all we know it could still be going. We’re sure one of you will keep us posted of the final outcome – know that we always reward our informants.
Stay tuned for more from the Halloween Blackout. Rest assured we’ve got more in the works from this event, but if there is something or someone one you especially want to know more about, you know where to find us.

Some of our Blacklisters were back at it again at the Harrison Hotel last month for the surprise birthday bash of Billy Watson, one of the stars from our first article. Ironically, this feature has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Jordan Moore, whose transgressions seem to run pretty deep. Here's what we've uncovered over the past month.
You might recognize Moore’s name from an article we posted a few months ago that reported his rumored involvement in some illicit activity. It’s no longer a rumor. Moore is certainly involved in the drug scene, and as it turns out, he might be part of a much bigger enterprise than we originally realized.
Recall from our last article that Jordan was spotted trying to tangle a vulnerable individual into his dark web of an operation. Well, he’s done it again, only this time much more dangerously. A source tells us Moore “took drugs to Billy's party,” also informing us that he was “holding onto” them for an unknown individual.
Those same drugs were left in the hands of an innocent bystander whom Jordan used as an oblivious mule to carry the drugs under the guise of over-the-counter medication. This lie took a turn for the worst when his naive apprentice took the drugs and became very ill. Very quickly. This bystander will remain anonymous at this time for her privacy, but it was clear to those in attendance that she did not intend to take those drugs. Later removed from the party to recover from the foreign chemicals, the twenty-four year old girl was soon abandoned by Moore, who returned to the party with haste.
At worst, it’s incredibly low of Moore to stoop as low as drugging these girls to get them to comply, and at best, it was careless to allow this to happen.
We decided, given the significance of this incident, that it was worth exploring who else Moore had contact with that night. If he’s holding onto those drugs for someone else, we want to know who.
Several of our sources spotted Moore spending a lot of time with a man by the name of Samual Castilla, who we’ve since learned is his boss at Out of Line, Ink., a tattoo parlor in Gramercy which boasts a… concerning group of employees. Get this: a source tells the Blacklist that “every single one of them has a history with the foster system, substance abuse, or a criminal record, ranging from drug charges to theft to assault.” It’s no secret, either. Our sources tell us “Samual is quick to brag about his employees' history and the shady characters coming in and out of that place.” This is all public information that the owner seems to take some pride in.
Castilla himself definitely doesn’t have an innocent background either. Arrested for breaking and entering, he spent a couple years in jail circa 2007 but didn’t come out reformed. Castilla picked up a substance addiction along the way and is now a frequent AA member. The Twelve Steps must not be working so well for him-- or perhaps it's working as intended if he’s looking to surround himself with potential customers.
We suspect that Moore and Castilla are using Out of Line Ink as a front for their drug enterprise.

Not sold? Moore was also spotted several times the night of the party with Archie Maycroft (cousin to Matthew Henry, who spent most of the night cozying up to both Samual Castilla and birthday boy Billy Watson). Archie and Jordan were described as “chummy”, and Archie was seen alongside Moore carrying our drugged innocent bystander to a hotel room and dealing with her concerned (and angry) loved ones. Covering up the mess Jordan made, if you ask us.
Moore and Castilla’s ties to the Maycroft family extend well beyond just Archie, however. The infamous Betrice Maycroft who has already caused a roar among our Blacklisters has been spotted in Castilla’s establishment for hours at a time, and has been observed withdrawing large amounts of cash from the ATM most local to the shop on several occasions. We’re talking wads of cash far beyond any amount justifiable for a tattoo being withdrawn before Ms. Maycroft met with Moore at the business.
It was only a matter of time, we suppose, before the white-collar crime that plagues the city merged with the drug and gang crime that’s soiled our streets for decades. Perhaps the Maycroft-Henry clan are one of the many examples of this.

We are currently welcoming and anticipating any and all tips on this matter. Help us find out the truth, and we’ll always return the favor. Think you’ve got a bigger headline? Feel free to share.
