Okay, I really love how many lgbtqia+ identities are slowly becoming accepted as normal by many but it’s getting under my skin that aro/ ace identities are not as normalized or talked about. We are just as valid as the rest but I’m always hearing stuff like “oh your to young to know,” “you’ll find the right one,” “your just confused,” and “how do you know you don’t like it if you don’t have it” plus so much more. On top of everything is amatonormativity and allonormativity, like why do we’re as a society view sex and romance as a default and alienate those who don’t/ can’t experience them. And the fact that many people, even some queer people don’t even know what these identities are, like we are so underrepresented and rarely acknowledged to the point where own community doesn’t know who we are. There is also all of the misconceptions and stereotypes around us to which I’m not even going to touch in this post.

TLDR: aros and aces are cool and valid!
