This reminds me of the best kinds of summer days I could have.

Hufflepuff: *when they realize they have a week to learn an entire semester of a class* It's okay.

I hope every single American that is celebrating remembers what their country is doing at the border, what their country is doing to other countries, and what their country is doing to its own citizens, especially the minorities.

Happy 4th of July.

Edit: A lot of people seem to have misunderstood this post. Yes, you can celebrate. That's your right. Just don't forget what's going on.

I wrote this because someone told me that the news should stop with the border coverage because no one cared today (his words were ”The fake news should shut up about aliens because Americans don't care about that on July 4th”). Children dying and being denied basic care is a human rights violation. Stoping asylum seekers is a human rights violation. And putting them in a concentration camp is a human rights violations.

And yeah, I know most Americans are against that. But there are a lot of them that just don't care about what's going on or just try to lessen it's severity. And, well, that's just wrong.
