This time with my girl Vaggie.

@redislonely was the one to give me the idea for some of her costumes having wings. Just to further put salt in the wound. And I figured “what the hell”, make them look like exorcist wings. I like the idea that Vellvette does keep Vaggies secret (as per their deal) but pushes that boundary as far as she can. So in many areas Vaggie is portrayed as a fetishized version of an exorcist Angel. Bc ngl ain’t no way none of those demons haven’t had a sexual fantasy about one of the soldiers before. It could also be played as a “hiding in plain sight” kinda thing.

Some swap Val n Anthony. Still don’t have a lot of solid stuff on em just yet but I wanted to draw an interaction. This takes place around the 60s, Val has been working with Anthony and his Family for about a decade now. Both him and vox have gained quite a lot of power and want to really branch out. So Val tries to get Anthony to sell him his soul and be able to wriggle his way into taking control of the mafia. Anthony calls bullshit and cuts ties with Val. Thus leading to the pair having a rivalry similar to cannon vox n Alastor. When Anthony then later gets disowned he almost has a moment of going to The Vees for help, but thankfully Alastor was there to get him back on his feet.

Took me like a whole week to get this all put together but it's FINALLY DONE! A much better and Prettier Masterpost for the Hazbin AU that is now named-

The Hart Hotel is a more in-depth swap au following Alastor the (previous overlord) Radio demon and his venture into building a Hotel of rehabilitation. Alongside him is his best friend Anthony, famous pornstar Vaggie, and the princess of Hell herself, Charlotte Morningstar. Follow him and many others as the very foundations of Heaven and Hell are challenged with the singular question, "Can a sinner be redeemed?"

Get ready for the Queen and King of Hell!

I'm still figuring out just exactly what to do with lucifer. I have a few ideas, but I also want to kinda keep it like cannon, where it's a huge mystery right now.

I'm also shooting in the dark as far as Lilith goes lmao-

Anyways I know I've talked about it before, but basically, lillith is obviously more present now. And instead of her going missing 7 years ago, it was lucifer. She took this hard and became a recluse. She stopped singing and started to neglect her duties as Queen. Her and Charlotte have a very similar relationship to Cannon lucifer and Charlie. Where they are a lot alike but never really got the chance to explore that until later. She comes up in the AU as a sort of stand in for Rosie's episode. Charlotte takes Alastor to her mom because they have just gotten back from hevan and....well we all know how that went.

Like Rosie with her cannibals, lillith not only directly rules over all sinners, but hellborn aswell. So in this case Al and Charlotte would be asking for her support and to give them an army of Hellborn to help fight. In this AU the exorcists are more complicated and overall it will take more than a large group of cannibals to help defend against a direct threat. Also, the pardon does still exist, but only if that hellborn doesn't try to fight back or anything. The second they do, they become ok to kill just like a sinner. So, all of the demons who are now fighting alongside the Sinners have lost that security.

Most of the real interesting stuff with these two happens in the last episode, which I will get too eventually. *wink wonk*

LUTE AND EMILY-

Lore tiiime

Alright, so Lute! Still fiercely loyal and a bit much- just not as sadistic anymore. Now, here's the fun part, she's still kinda an exorcist. Just now, instead of being under Adam, she's under Sera and Emily. And is in charge of keeping Adam distracted as well as the rest of hevan.

Decided to kinda mess around with the whole exorcist army and split them into like two halves. One half stays up in hevan, creating this image of the exterminations as though they were just going down into hell to try and "save souls." The half that Emily leads, and Lute helps command. The other half is what we see in the show. The half vaggie took part of and Sera leads. Adam knows about this, and is even suspicious about the whole "saving souls" deal. But keeps a blind eye because he trusts Lute so much.

Emily! Still sickly sweet, but give that missing sadistic nature from Swap!Lute to her. She's not as intense as Cannon!Lute but still enjoys going down to kill sinners once a year. All the while looking cute and innocent the whole time. However, she doesn't fully know that she's just further damming them. Sera is the only one who really knows what they are doing. So, while Emily is still killing them, she's thinking that their souls are being set free to get reincarnated or something like that. (Which can also lead to her disbelief is redemption, and the whole "hell is forever")

Of course, this is all based on headcannons. I'm going off of an apparent post made in the past, where they said that "when a sinner is killed, they become a mindless part of hell. That's why there are so many eyes in the walls and why hell seems "alive."" Or sonthing along those lines. Idk if that is still cannon. Or if reincarnation is even a thing in this version of the afterlife. But for the sake of this AU, I say all of it is.

So, in a way, all 4 of the angels are kinda swapped and meshed together. But hey, this is my AU, and it's all for fun and games, so whatever, lmao.

The poll has spoken!!

Adam and Sera up next,

Some quick lore cuz it is currently 3 am and I am tired-

Sera is still head seraphim, and Adam is still the first man. The only difference now is that instead of Adam leading the exorcist army, it's Sera. And while Adam doesn't do all of the things a seraphim would, he's still a very high ranked angel. Thus, he leads several court hearings and handles other matters. Personality wise, they are both pretty much the same. Only Adam isn't as insufferable, and Sera is more outwardly cold.

Of course, this begs the question, "Did Adam know/approve of the exterminations?" and while he wasn't exactly in a place to stop it, he didn't really try. The hatred for demons he has is still there, thus giving him a huge bias. However, as the years progress and eventually Al shows up in hevan to debate redemption, he grows frustrated. Thinking that if it got out he was just standing idly by while thousands of his own descendants were being slaughtered mercilessly, his reputation could be ruined. Or somthing like that idk it's late.

Sera is also pretty much the same. Worrying about the security of hevan and wanting to stop any war hell might try to bring. Only now she's getting her hands dirty. She does still have the same merciless high standards for the exorcists tho. Sorry vaggie,,,,

Alright the almighty vees have entered the ring! As already stated the swaps here are,

Vox = Velvette

Velvette = Valentino

Valentino = Vox

Some quick lore,

Velvette and Vaggie have the same relationship as Val and Angel do in the show. She found Vaggie not too long after her fall and took advantage of her vulnerable state. At first, Vel thought vaggie was just some more fresh demon meat. But then (by means I don't entirely have figured out yet) she finds out vaggie was an angel, and not only that, but an exorcist. This leads to more emotional abuse and even blackmail.

On the same note, Valentino and Anthony now share a similar rivalry that Vox and Alastor do in the show. This is another blury spot, but right now, I'm thinking that a while ago, Val tried to get Anthony to work with him. Maybe because he had strong ties to the mafia, and Val wanted to expand his own power through this. Anthony said no, and "Now he's pissy, that's the tea." I also want to state that Anthony isn't ,or ever was, an overload. He's just a powerful demon from a powerful family.

Now Vox (my favorite of the vees) instead of running hell's tech, he now focuses more on social media and spreading the Vees influence through that. I also want him to have the same "changes outfits in every new scene," like vellvette does. Also, because the radio demon still existed, there was a time when Alastor was close with Vox. Right now, we don't have any solid idea on whatever happened between the two canonicaly. But for the sake of this AU, let's say they met in the 50's, became pals, rose to the top of hell, then Alastor began to change (working on that lore rn) and left.

This drawing also took me the longest simply because I was continually unhappy with it. But!!! We got there eventually dhdhh. Also, just went ahead and did solid line and color cause why not.

Alrighty, Sir Pentious and cherri bomb! Once again, I don't have much lore on these babs compared to the others. But basically, they both still died in the 80's just swap the centuries lol. They still have the same personalities, just heavily influenced by the new time period. Instead of egg boiz, Pentious got egg grenades. And instead of cherry bombs, cheriis got her cherry galz. Imma say that Pentious is still an inventor, but on a smaller scale due to no longer being a part of the Industrial Revolution. Hince only really having the grenades. But cherri is the opposite. Not much is known about her. At least I haven't seen much- so imma say that she too is a bit crafty, and this side of her blossoms in this AU. Hince the cherry galz.

Edit: ok, so I used to say Pentious was part of the hotel and still gets redeemed. But I've decided to change that so now it's cherri. Expect more art in the future.

Husk and nifty up next! They are a bit harder since their personalities aren't explored as much. However I still had fun thinking about what to do with them!

In this AU I’d say that husk never was an overlord. Since we don’t know much about nifty and Al’s relationship, which I’m going off of for the sake of this AU, I’m just gonna say that Charolette helped husk in a time he needed it and thus made a deal with him. His personality is also a bit of a shot in the dark as well because that too doesn’t have lots to go off of. But if I had to guess I’d say that husk at his core is a caring person, and can see through any facade. So in this AU *Husker* has those same traits, but with that more silly and slightly sadistic tone that Nifty has.

Nifty or rather Niff. Is basically just Nifty with that grumpy old drunk vibe husk has. And as for backstory I’d say that she was an overlord. And made a deal with charlotte to save her power. But instead of a gambling issue, maybe it was more of an obsessive behavior. Which is something shown in the show. Anyways this obviously backfired and she now works as the bar tender of the hotel. I’ll draw it eventually but the actual bar doesn’t change in size. Instead she just has this goofy stool she uses.

Now since this isn’t a like total swap and Al was still the radio demon at one point that made me wonder if I wanted it to still be his deals the two are under. But I’m on then fence about that because he would likely free their souls. Not wanting to force them to help like how he does in the show. So I figured why not have it be Charolette? It would make sense for the AU being a swap and all, and also give more depth to her overall. I have some more ideas regarding her and Al but I’ll do it in a separate post.

Vaggie and Angel dust (Anthony) up next! Had more fun thinking up the lore of this swap AU. Once again, they have pretty much the same personalities. However, these two are definitely more affected by their surroundings rather than having different traits. For Angel, he stayed in the family business after death. Never making that deal with Valentino. Then at some point, he gets in a shitty situation and is at a very low point in his (after) life. That's when he meets Al. Who by this point has changed his ways from being the ruthless radio demon. Instead of making a deal with Anthony, he offers him a hand. Eventually, they become really good friends. Bonding over their shared time on earth and what not. This friendship then leads to the two of them working together to achieve Alastors' dream of redeeming sinners.

Now, for vaggie, she's still a fallen angel. Only now, she never met Charlie after getting attacked. Unsure of where to go or what to do, she ends up meeting the vees. Who seem to be the safest place for her to go. I'd like to think that vaggie didn't know much about healthy relationships or stuff like that before Charlie. So even though she knew these guys were bad news, she figured she would be strong enough to handle whatever they try and throw at her. Thus leading to a deal with either Val or velvet (I haven't decided) now as for why she ends up at the hotel? At first, the same reason Angel dust did. Just to have a free room out of the Vee tower. But after a while, she started to gain hope that maybe she could gain back control. And cause imma sucker....chaggie is still cannon here. But instead of seeing an already pretty well developed relationship, it's the awkward slow burn stage at the start.

Updated hazbin swap au looks. In this version I like to think of it as, “Charlie is more like her dad when it comes to “caring” for the sinners. And Alastor has a change of heart and uses his power as an overlord for good.” But they still have pretty much the same personalities, With just minor tweaks. Like Charlie still being a bit goofy and singing lots, but more aloof and less empathetic. Alastor is still egotistical and in need of control, but more open and actually allows himself to lean on others. Also thinking that Alastor no longer takes deals with sinners. Accepting his “clipped wings” and seeing that he is still very powerful. However what really determines if he is able to get redeemed is if he’s able to reach a point of letting all the power go in favor of the greater good. And I’d like to think that this sacrifice is what would eventually change Charlie’s mind for good about sinners and humanity as a whole.
