one of the things i love about Neil Josten as a character is that not once did i have to go “god i wish the protagonist told the villain to go to hell. i wish the protagonist fucking killed the abuser and didn’t go Oh im gonna be the bigger person.” no. Neil went and did all those things i’m so proud.

have you ever thought to yourself: "i wish i had a well structured list of every work of art and artist mentioned in the dreamer trilogy"? well, then i have great news for you bc i just spent the last few months creating one!

took me FOREVER to figure out i was aroace bc i convinced myself i had a crush on this boy from school for actually five years straight — i wasn’t really friends with boys and i conditioned myself into an anxious response whenever i saw him.

i eventually went on a “date” with the guy when we got to high school and left very confused and wondering if i was a lesbian lol.

feel sorta bad sometimes that the poor guy was my aroace awakening….

but yeah, half of the “signs” that you’re interested in someone in a crush/romantic way being the same as anxiety symptoms is sometimes super annoying.

"Butterflies in your tummy" I get that every time I talk to anyone because I'm an anxious wreck

"Ohh you get all blushy" I blush whenever I remember literally any compliment from anyone. I blush when someone says I blink robotically. I blush when I remember that time my driving instructor said I went through a stop sign correctly.

"You get nervous when thinking about them" I'm always nervous.

that’s happened to me twice and it was actually the same person both times and ik what they say, ‘fool me once’ and all that but it really messed me up both times.

but oh god op put this into amazing words, i long for this in my life.

I want to be someone's special person. Like. I wanna be the one you tell everything to. The one you think off when you see stupid cute videos. The one you talk about when people ask you about your partner.

I want an emotional connexion. Not someone to be in love with. Someone that don't drain me. Someone that put me first the way i put them first. I don't care if it's a qpr, a relationship or a friendship.

I don't want to be scared that you'll leave for someone you're in love with.
