Heya, Tumblr! It’s been a while. XD
I do think Casper ‘95 is the best film based on the Harvey characters. Sure, the screenplay has some flaws and the jokes don't always work, but it does have an engaging overall story, top-notch voice acting, excellent production design, and a great score to boot. Plus, I think this was J.J. Abrams' first big success given that Spielberg brought him onboard to rewrite it. True, he was uncredited, but given the screenplay he was handed, he gave the film the dramatic boost it needed.
Figures that I think it deserves a continuation. I've had this in the back of my head for a while (As is the case a lot. XD), but I really wanted to get all of these out.
The basic story I have in mind is that Whipstaff has been abandoned again for some 50 years since the Harveys left and Kat pursued a career to take up her dad's mantle. 50 years after the 1995 film, Little Dot, Little Audrey and Little Lotta stumble across Casper and his uncles Stretch, Stinkie and Fatso around Christmastime, and they befriend them. Dr. Kathleen Harvey also returns to Friendship as one of Dot's dads has called her over to investigate. Casper and his uncles have a small grudge over Kat for leaving Whipstaff, but overtime, Kat regains Casper's trust and he eventually gets his uncles to do the same. Obviously, they don't love each other anymore because... well, that's just ewwy. No. Just no.
During a Fair scene, Casper stumbles across another ghost on a Fairground built where the local insane asylum used to be - the ghost of his father J.T. McFadden. Overtime, Casper tries to get his dad to remember who he was, with some help from Kat.
But there's another reason why Dot, Audrey and Lotta are drawn to Whipstaff. In this universe, Audrey and her sister Zoe have a familial connection to Carrigan Crittenden (Great-nieces.), and thusly are entitled to Whipstaff. What's more is that the Crittenden lines has ties to the McFadden line, and Audrey, Zoe and their mother are some of the last surviving people related in some sense to Casper as a result. What I think will happen is that a direct relative (A grandfather?) will want Whipstaff and the Lazarus for themselves and will try to kill Audrey and Zoe to get it, so they kidnap Zoe to get her to reveal where the Lazarus is and what it does. This will result in Casper, Kat and the 3 gals going to save Zoe and her and Audrey confronting their relative. He dies and becomes a ghost, but instead of having him cross over to the Afterworlds, he is exorcised there.
In the end, Audrey, Zoe and their mom move in to Whipstaff to live with Casper and his uncles, his dad regains his memory, he and Kat rekindle their friendship, and all of them, including Dot and Lotta, become a sort of group of friends. On Christmas Eve, Casper says it'll be fun while it lasts, and even when the next family comes around, he'll still have his own to keep him company. Just then, Casper's dad finds the Primordial soup formula for the Lazarus and gives it to him. He gets excited and goes to tell everyone about it, ending the film.
The idea for the Harvey Girls for Casper Returns is that they will be based upon their Harvey Girls Forever counterparts, henceforth why I drew them here. I know Harvey Girls Forever already has their own Casper, and I do think they did a great job with that version! This one here will exist as an separate world, so you won't see any statue of Harvey E. Harveson since he won't exist in this world.
I think Audrey and Lotta will act as sort of big-sister figures to Casper, Audrey especially since she'll discover her relations to the McFadden line. Dot and Casper might have some affection for each other and date for a small while. Yeah, screw it. I like it, it's a fun crack ship and it'll still be a little bit before Wendy comes into play, though not too long.
For this drawing, I wanted to visualize how Kat and Casper's uncles would look with him and the 3 gals. I drew Stretch too small, so I had to resize him. XD Still, I think I did a'ight. I think adult Kat looks cool in Katie Rice's style too.
As far as writing goes, I want J.J. to come back to produce and help with the main story, but I want Phillip LaZebnik to do the actual screenplay. The Prince of Egypt was really good, and I want to see more stuff from him. I could probably bring in Guillermo del Toro in to co-write/produce too since he did Trollhunters and is doing a film of it soon. I'd also bring in the Brendan Hay to co-write since he helped develop the versions of Dot, Audrey and Lotta I want to integrate.
As you expected, I want Burton to produce as will everything I want to make, but I especially want the Spielberg family on board. Steven will probably have a good excuse not to, because he'll be dead by the time I get to produce this, in which case may he rest well.
As far as directing goes, I think Peter Ramsey. He directed Rise of the Guardians, but he also has some experience in live-action doing some second-unit work for John Singleton. Plus, he was an artist on Casper '95.
That's pretty much all I've got for now. I'll try to add more as time goes onward, but if you like what I've got so far, feel free to give some feedback if you want.

A few years ago, when I first joined deviantART, I tried coming up with a story for a film version of the Sonic franchise. As expected, those drawings... sucked. You can guess why. Now that the Jeff Fowler film is out, I was thinking again about how I could adapt Sonic. My idea: a TV series named Sonic A113. This potential Sonic TV series I have in mind would largely be based on the original SatAM series, but there'd also be characters integrated from the pre-2013 Archie comics, the games and other media in the franchise. However, this would still be a reboot of sorts, and thus the storyline would be different but somewhat similar to what SatAM/Archie fans might know. See, since this TV series will be in my ideal shared "Burtonverse" (Which the Marilyn/TLC story will be part of.), and since the events of the Pixar theory will be canon to it as I want it to be mostly Disney•Tim Burton produced, Mobius might be an entirely different planet which one of the Axiom ships from Wall•E lands on. In short, the Xorda and Gene Bombs are gone. The show would also have singing. A lot of singing. Like, a Steven Universe amount of singing. For sure I'd bring back Jaleel White as Sonic and Kath Soucie, but I'd largely want to have musical talents voicing the characters, so I'd have to get singing voices for Sonic and Sally. The closest to Sonic and Sally I could find were Jay Aston of Gene Loves Jezebel and Candia McCormack of Inkubus Sukkubus, both of which are Goth bands. Speking of Sonic and Sally, this is what Sonic and Sally would look like in my Sonic A113 concept. I tried going for Treasure Planet vibes with that bandana and death ray. Goth Sally's clothing design is based off of Death of the Endless from Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I was listening to Inkubus Sukkubus when drawing Sal Gal. That's all the ideas I have for now. If I come up with any more, I'll be sure to post them. Sonic belongs to Yuji Naka, Naoto Ōshima, Sega Sammy Holdings, Sonic Team, Prope, Wildbrain, and the Walt Disney Company. Sally belongs to Len Janson, Ben Hurst, Sega Sammy Holdings, Sonic Team, Prope, Wildbrain, and the Walt Disney Company. Fair use lets people do fan art and use content as a means of paying tribute, educating, reviewing, collaging, etc. All in all, NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT HAS BEEN INTENDED WHATSOEVER. -S. P.S. I genuinely don't get the hate for Sally Acorn or Amy Rose (Rosy Rascal.). I think they're both fun characters. Though I prefer to ship Sonally, Sonamy is okay too. I have no hate. That is all.

Never heard of Esme and Roy until a few weeks ago and I think it's a neat concept for a kid's show. I especially like the idea of the calm down/mindfulness strategies.
Scenario: On Esme's birthday, Roy gives her a potion that can turn her into a monster for 24 hours as a present. She drinks it and fun hijinks ensue, as I believe her birthday would be a day off from babysitting monster kids.
I based this design off of reptiles, some of the Muppets and the artwork of Brian Froud. Notice that Esme's wearing a World Industries shirt. I grew up in SoCal and World Industries was one of the brands most common there when I was a kid. I wonder if they still sell that stuff at Ron Jon stores.

Haven’t uploaded these here yet.
Yeah, I really like @abwingz’s Minnie Angelbright and the Hammer Space comics are pretty funny.
Around the time she scrapped the Super Squirrel concept she had for Minnie, I came up with a more cinematic and, dare I say it, Burtonized version of the concept, given the fact that everyone in Vector is completely bonkers. Here I give some info on these versions on the characters.
Minnie Angelbright the Other Squirrel Girl - The main heroine of the story. By day, she is the kindhearted doofus we all know and love. By night, she is the heroic Squirrel Girl of Vector City. Born with the tail of a squirrel, she is mocked sometimes considering she does weird things, such as eat carpet and talk to woodland rodents. Her normally low IQ doesn’t help either, since she was held back in the third grade. After noticing the high level of crime in Vector, she decided she wanted to be a detective and a superhero. Considering weird things happen in Vector all the time, her mother Sadie knew she wasn’t kidding, so she taught Minnie detective skills, ninjitsu and how to be scary. Overtime, two new personalities spawned: Mina, a hardworking detective who’s always honest, and Squirrel, a total badass. In time, she came to be known as Vector’s biggest vigilante. She talks to each of her personalities all the time, but can see them directly by simply looking at a mirror. When Minnie’s around Christine, she tends to get butterflies in her stomach, but as Squirrel, she wouldn’t hesitate to date her. This particular dress would be made by her during the time she’s trying to come up with Squirrel’s look.
Theo Angelbright - Minnie’s pickle brother. He acts like a jerk to her often, but he really cares about her. Theo’s got a short fuse since he has to listen to pickle jokes all the time. When he first heard of Minnie’s idea, he thought she was joking, but as time passed, he started to realize it was all true. He goes out as the Acorn when working alongside Minnie.
Nicholas Gourd the Mad Pumpkin - The biggest, baddest and most notorious crime boss and serial killer in all of Vector. A ruthless, greedy and remorseless moron with an unrealistically high IQ, Gourd works in the public eye as a pumpkin salesman. In his first encounter with the Squirrel, he got surrounded by policemen in a chemical plant, so he jumped into a a vat (In which he dumped fertilizer and pumpkin seeds in earlier.) to escape. With this mixture, he turned into a plant/human hybrid with a pumpkin for a head and the ability to manipulate plants and toxins at his will and look like his regular human self. All of his deaths involve poisonous plants and pumpkins. Also, he hates any religion that isn’t Christianity and any love life that isn’t straight. He’s your everyday Greg Abbot X 10! The name Nicholas comes from Jack Nicholson, the first cinematic Joker. The suit is strikingly similar to Joker’s as well.
Sadie Angelbright - Minnie’s hyperrealisticly kind mother. She knew her daughter Minnie wasn’t kidding about being a detective and a superhero, so she taught Minnie detective skills, ninjitsu and how to be scary. Sadie had a traumatic childhood, growing up in an abusive family. As a young adult, she found solace in the various political protests Vector had off and on. How she became a cyborg, I don’t know. May have survived a bombing. Giving birth to a pickle? Don’t know either. Vector is weird like that. I wanted to come up with a dress that reflected her mystery and possible badassery. I also made the right arm steampunk. I don’t think her canon eyes will be revealed anytime soon, so I just went with toon glasses-eyes.
Christine Lovington - Like Minnie, she’s helpful, kind and honest. But like Sadie, she can be more calm than others. Outside of the last three characters, Christine is the only one who knows that Minnie is the Squirrel. She’s also her love interest. I wanted her dress to be associated with a different Alternative culture than the usual Goth, so I chose Punk.
I think the story would be like Disney and RKO’s Hunchback films plus Burton’s Batman I assume. Like, it’s September and the Circus of Souls is in town. After hearing of Nick Gourd looting out a nuclear plant and his recent attacks as the Mad Pumpkin, Minnie decides to go into crimefighting. She befriends the Circus of Souls’ lead performer Rosalina Junebug and Vector’s Lieutenant. While Minnie/Mina starts dating Christine, Nick soon lusts for Rosalina and wants to be saved from her “spell” to avoid being damned, even though he already is at this point. When Minnie and Theo learn of Nick’s plans to destroy much of Vector and kill Rosalina a few nights before the Autumnal Equinox, Minnie finally takes the form of Super Squirrel. With the help of Rosalina, Squirrel stops the attacks and they duke it out with Nick at the top of Vector’s highest building. Nick shoots Rosalina (Killing her with no blood onscreen.) and after a final fight, he falls off the building and dies with his body nothing more than a smashed pumpkin. Minnie mourns over Rosalina, but she rises from her body as a ghost and the friends embrace. Nick’s men are arrested and the Circus of Souls goes on with Rosalina as planned on the night of the Autumnal Equinox.
Yeah, I think my plot’s a little meh, but honestly, I came up with this stuff just for fun.
Happy birthday to Minnie!

Let me tell you: I loved Casper growing up as a kid. I used to watch all the original cartoons and the Brad Silberling film from time to time. The premise of a ghost who had trouble with making friends stuck. Show me a Casper cartoon and I’m all over it!
My guess of what happened 20 years after the original film and the TV series is that Kat went to university, pursued a career in psychology and had her own family. Casper, however, stayed behind at his manor since he was stuck at age 12 forever and out of respect for Kat, he promised himself not to fall for anyone else.
I didn’t know that Harvey Street Kids was a thing and I don’t even know how I first found out. Although it’s kinda weird for a town ruled by kids to have no parents and barely any working adults, I think it’s a good TV series. The show was kinda cute and has some funny parts. I like that they made Little Dot black, that was cool. Is it bad that I like Black Little Dot a little more than Original Little Dot?
You know, if it were up to me, I’d have have a miniseries crossover with Casper 1995. Since Harvey Street Kids likely takes place in the early 2010s, I’d set it about 20 years after the original film.
Actually, I think a Harvey Shared Universe would be an interesting venture.
Think about it: Casper is an Amblin production based off of the Harvey character. Amblin owns DreamWorks, and DWA (Which spun off of DreamWorks.) owns Casper and the other Harvey characters. DWA produced Harvey Street Kids. Universal owns DWA and currently distributes regular DreamWorks films. Universal holds the screen rights to both DreamWorks and DWA films these days and both Amblin and Universal own Casper, so why not put Casper 1995 and Harvey Street Kids in the same universe? Why not make a Casper 1995 and Harvey Street Kids crossover special produced by Spielberg and J.J. Abrams (Cowriter of the film.)?

Here's a project I want to make for Disney: The New Werewolf on the Block, based on the short from Disney's Lights Camera Lexi. Having it be a series would give a chance to develop the characters and expand their world. In this series, Ellie (The leading gal in the short.) is shown as somewhat of a biker kid. Though she's way too young to have a driver's license, she's a perfect balance of soft and tough and packs a punch if you need it. She comes from a family of faoladhs, which are werewolves who protect those in danger. Ellie moved into town during the summer of '85 as the rest of her family lived there. She didn't really have any friends until she met Henry (The short's main dude.). One night, Ellie stopped bullies from beating up Henry just by morphing. Henry was scared of Ellie's wolf form at first, but that day he realized it wasn't much of a biggie. Now they are sort of duo, fighting troblesome folks, dealing with life and jamming out to Def Leppard. Shoutout to @wwwjam for his fanart of Ellie. -S.
