I really don't know where this project would be right now without every single member of my team, cast and crew. It's the first of many collaborative projects to come, and my self-promise is that I will get better every time... as a Director, an Actor, Cinematographer, VFX Artist, and every position I can possibly learn to serve. I am inspired by influential directors and producers in the industry like Robert Townsend, Ava DuVernay, Ryan Coogler, F. Gary Gary, Will Smith, Spike Lee, John Singleton and a handful of others who made a way out of no way for their projects, and to prove themselves right about their dreams. Today, I.

I awaken with no sole purpose  but to terrorize today. To mortify the morning. To antagonize the afternoon. To engulf the evening, just so I can rush back to sleep again. I fill the day with an unapologetic force, stemming from a passion prolonged by adolescent practice and manacle antics. I woke up in a screech today – on fire to transcend any thoughts of doubt that may have slipped through my filter of positivity. I was tired, but still inspired to grab the day by the throat and press my thumbs into its adams apple with exponential force.

I ate a meal prepared by the gods consisting of upward vibrations and onward optimism; profusely washing down each gulp with water and spiritual cleansing solutions. I moved to the beat of my own drum. Marching with synths and snares thwaping thumping regurgitating action. Declaring each second as a victim of my production – each tick, morphing the universe into my palms – and an impression to the world that my calling has finally answered the phone. I emptied my energy back into myself. Pumping iron and exercising my heart. Straight-razor blading my waking widows peak. Exfoliating dirty pours and exuding tunnel focus. I finished the day by cleansing in a skin-scorching shower; exonerating the soul with literature intended to influence. Sharing laughs with friends and family. And calmly divulging into hobby for my last exert of today.

I work this motherfucking hard so that when it’s time for sleep, I rest the best. My body is drained by the endless thrust for progression. My mind is satisfied beyond belief and am awakened by the challenge of doing it all again in an even more purposeful way. I rest my eyes. I am wedged into a necessity called rest. I am smothered by a release only covered by God. I am at ease. Until….
