The full-size unblurred version of the flashback panel in the second page of the short comic @theocrytos and I did!

The original plan on this panel was just the three of them with past looks and their eyes censored, but at one point inspiration struck and I crashed into Theo's DMs like... HEY... HEY WHAT IF.... WHAT IF SOFT PRE-MAGIC MOMENT... BROWN-EYED JOHN.... what if everyone happy... what if John not paying attention to the activity so much as just a little stunned, in a constant state of disbelief that he's really surrounded by so many people he loves so much and who love him too... what if they got to have a nice time for five fucking minutes before everything went bad... what if the pain of contrasting a time when they were all doing okay and happy to be together with the knowledge that they haven't been those people in 10,000 years and never will be again... hey....

Also what if I make it its own big illustration because I love them so much...

Theo's pose for John took me out in general, and then belatedly I realized it was (completely coincidentally!) almost the Bandit Heeler dance pose, and man. In a much better and kinder world.......

But yeah hi I love these old fucks, especially Mercymorn. Did you guys know her hair in a messy braid that last night is canon? Because it is. ;w; I also loooove trying to capture her liminal ass pink-ish yellow-rose rose-gold peach-colored (strawberry blonde?) hair.

I extrapolated Augustine's cloak from the suit jacket, and then Theo wound up doing a few more colored sketches to figure out Mercy's cloak.

We wound up going with the one that gave her flowy sleeves and incorporated the puffy shoulders into the cloak itself, as a way of having their cloaks individualized a bit. But yeah!

We did the vast majority of the work on this over one week; basically everything except thumbnailing and the close ups of John and Mercy's eyes, which I did from the thumbnail sketches and animated while Theo was still cleaning up the first page sketch. Now I must rest my hand for 60 years but it's been absolutely worth it. Working together has been so much fun and I'm really excited to do more stuff together!

Hi have I mentioned I'm a huge baby about gore. Have I mentioned 37 times a week that I love John? Sigh. But sometimes you just gotta draw your blorbo exploding, I suppose. 😔

We went through a bunch of ideas and back-and-forth on this one, but I really do LOVE the format Theo came up with to represent "It was instantaneous, but so simultaneously slow—so unbelievably fucking slow".

The other day I asked if anyone would be interested in collaborating on some comic pages for The Unwanted Guest Project, and the wonderful @theocrytos said sure! He was working on a smaller thing to use on the application for that, so he could send me the sketches and we could collab on that to see how well we can work together and just make a cool thing in the process. Awesome! ... AND THEN HE SENDS ME THIS FUCKING SCENE... Suffering and misery for 10,000 years... 😔

(This has been an absolute blast so far. Theo is wonderful to work with and I was especially so happy for this excuse to fully detail their eyes.)

More TLT socks!

I made this Sixth House pair for my good friend and was able to give it to her when I visited her recently :)

They skulls look a little wonky but they will settle with some wear (I think)

A little alteration I made was to make the legs a bit longer than I suggest in my pattern - I worked closer to 7 cm (I think) after the heel before starting the skull chart.

If When I make any more socks I think I will make the legs closer to this length, because my biggest "grievance" about my Fifth House pair is that they are a little too short for my taste. (I still wear them regularly, because handknit socks are simply better)

Huzzah! My most recent DnD oneshot character!

Her name is Nausicaa, they're a tempest cleric of Istus (godess of fate and creator of the Fey realm and fey creatures in our homebrew world) and she's ready to kill her god to potentially save the life of her sickly wife and be able to grow old with her <3

Design detail rambles, fun facts and unused outfit sketches below the cut!

Fun facts/details:

- Their full name is Nausicaa Homonenomenon. No I wasn't able to tell that to my fellow players with a straight face. Yes there is a reason for it! While the face shape of the snakes isn't right, they are western hognoses, the scientific name of which is Heterodon Nasicus. We can thank my dear friend for her surname - she originally suggested 'Heteronomenon' which would have been quite ironic as Nausicaa very much isn't hetero, lol. Nothing against that, but I just thought Homonenomenon sounded even funnier/absurd.

- Her wife's name is Telmachia Aegagrus, named after the "og" Nausicaa's husband, Telemachus, and wild goats (Capra Aegagrus), the latter because she's a satyr. I have yet to draw her. I like to think she always calls Nausicaa nicknames, while Nausicaa mostly just calls her Telma, maybe also "my dear", or "my heart" (in Hungarian these are much more common nicknames for your partner than in English, as far as I know at least).

- She has a medusa piercing.

- The pin on her cloak is the symbol of Istus (in our game), and I have made it irl from cardboard to wear to DnD because I'm the kinda player who likes to dress up.

- She holds a bell in her right hand - simply because that's one of the items she has because of her (custom) background.

- Another item they have because of their background is the ring - a signet ring to be more exact - on her right middle finger. Her other ring is her wedding ring :)

- Not very well visible, but the beads on their belt are the colors of the lesbian pride flag.

- The pattern on their pants is kinda like what I sometimes doodle in class when I don't need to take notes but need to occupy my hand with something.

- Overall her colors are basically sunset colors because in our Feywild these are pretty prominent colors used/worn by the daytime (basically our version of seelie) fey.

Outfits!

I knew I wanted skirts of some sort and overall a lot of flowiness and some layering for this fruity little lady, but it took me a few tries to get something I like. I figured out her head first as you can tell, and none of these really matched that. But as you can see, the final one is kind of a combination of 1 and 3, with the addition of a cloak. 2 had a very greek cleric-y vibe too, don't get me wrong I loved that too! Maybe another time...

A very different, but very much TLT related thing I just finished - socks!

I have no idea how to show these off in a cool way lol

But regardless, while it is a small project in size, it took quite a bit of brainpower to figure out certain elements. (The colorwork, that is. The shape is a free pattern called Trusty Toe Up Socks by Tanis Lavallée.) But they are cozy and I am very happy with them!

Is it just me, or are there other people both into TLT and knitting? Should I share more details about the colorwork? idk, let me know!
