There's so much cool work happening all around the world - I don't care if it's in German or Mandarin or Swahili, I want to know about it 👀
Need something to read?
In the last six months, transfeminine authors have published over 108 new books to keep you busy on the beach! 🏳️⚧️📚
As always, this list is a collaborative effort, so thank you so much to all of the authors and editors who helped me put it together 🩷🩷🩷

Since @grimdr haa already started helping-
I only speak English and French! If there's a transfemme book in a language other than English that came out this spring, don't hesitate to tell me about it! I want to add it to the list!
This is a work in progress, always. Just because a book isn't on here doesn't mean it shouldn't be 🩷

This article isn't just a catalog - it's a challenge 🩷
For everyone who reads the article, I challenge YOU to pick a book that you've never heard of and read it blind. It can be so hard for trans authors to find purchase in the traditional marketplace; your next favorite book could be waiting here!

I'll be publishing the list either tomorrow or Sunday, depending on how my moving logistics go.
We are officially DONE with the first publishing period of 2025.
If you're a transfemme author who published a book in *any genre* between 1/1/25 and 6/30/25, last call for me to add your title to the list!
The last list got thousands of views - it's free marketing!

If you can't make it to the #nokings protests today, this is a great way to show material support for people affected by American tyranny ✊
In a year overshadowed by global protest and fascist threat, TFR is celebrating Pride Month by supporting transfemme authors in need 🩷
Please consider taking a moment to donate to a mutual aid campaign listed here or elsewhere. Our goal is to raise $5000, and we need your help!

Happy Pride Month! Here are some Tumblr blogs dedicated to queer culture.
I just realized that I should probably rec these. They do some amazing work, and helped me to discover valuable stories that I wouldn't have otherwise.
@haveyoureadthistransbook ; @haveyoureadthisqueerbook ; @haveyouseenthisqueerfilm : Polls about whether or not you know a queer book/film, that doubles as a list of queer books/films.
@celluloidrainbow : A database of queer movies.
@free-queer-books : A database of free book promotions that are happening. If there is a book blast event, they will make a list of the queer ones.
@makingqueerhistory : Writes about queer history.
There are more, it's just that these are the ones I use. Feel free to add on!

After Patron blocked my latest review, I tried to write about censorship. Then I tried to write about aesthetics and the sexual politics of fiction.
What I ended up capturing was the violent silence of this moment in American history - the grief and helpless fury of living in a world that marches on toward genocide.
One of my regrets from early quarantine is that I never wrote about it - never tried to capture the depths of grief I was experiencing in the moment.
This is the essay I wish I'd written five years ago.

In any case, I poured my heart and soul into this article 🖤 I hope that it speaks to you and lets you process some of the same emotions it did for me.

you need decades old problematic evil transsexuals with bad takes who transitioned and detransitioned and retransitioned and were molested and have depression and personality disorders and criminal backgrounds, you need them so badly. they wrote all their shit down. it’s there for you to tear apart. get to rending.
