“Stop thinking of alters as separate people” this and “alters are each there own different entities that shouldn’t be blended” that
How about we let each system decide what feels best to them and stop policing systems that are already dealing with a very complex and varying disorder

#i did indeed laugh#but this is a serious issue#There needs to be a greater focus on#sharing resources and community and stopping the spread of misinfo#Rather than every other post i see scrolling on this godforsaken site#Being about whether endogenics are “real systems or not”#im so sick of the plural community as a whole#But instead of abandoning it i seek to shape a better future#did osdd#osddid#dissociative system#system memes#Image post

DID is more than just having parts. Its also,
• amnesia
• confusion
• headaches
• nausea
• repeated childhood trauma
• anxiety
• spikes in fear. Anger. Or shame
• mood swings from parts
• body dysphoria
• depersonalization
• derealization
• self puzzlement
• loss of control
• flashbacks
• dizziness
And more.
DID is not "friends in your head" its traumatic, scary and uncomfortable. Its not fun it's a terrifying TRAUMA BASED disorder. And it should never be romanticized - Vesper

Our system is very stressed because we have a date! That’s not a bad thing- but he’s not familiar with DID. He knows we are self diagnosed and we are pursuing a diagnosis as soon as we can get a therapist, but he’s very uneducated
We’ve elected to try to not stress him out with infodumping- but we are very worried. We are fictive heavy and very fragmented. He’s uneducated and right now thinks fictives are rare and a sign of faking. My friends are trying to be educational sources but we’re still spiraling in worry.
If anyone has any reputable sources from medical professionals, such as papers or reports, that we could share with him when the time comes- would you share them with us?
Thank you so much
