if you had asked me like a month ago which life series gimmick i'd want to see again the most i would have answered double life, it was so fun and brought new unexpected dynamics! but now i've really changed my mind because i think double life was just Too Special, it's a clear example of how things just perfectly fall into place in the life series ! there's the scott and pearl separation, when the season before they had always been together, with pearl gifting scott her lives and that eventually leading to his win. there's impulse and bdubs being linked, instantly bringing back memories of the clock betrayal in 3rd life. and of course, scar and grian being soulmates, with grian being the one to kill them both in the end by dying to the warden, after he'd spent the entire season telling scar he was not allowed in the ancient city. you can't recreate this stuff! there's not a single thing i'd change about it
