Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 9: "Dude, Sick!"
Previous / Lobby / Next
First Moon (proudly): "Sssick!"
Second Moon (excited): "Ahr-m!"
Earth grins, shaking his head slightly as he listens to them. But X, though laughing earlier, starts frowning slightly, pretending to be serious.
Planet X (pouting): "Nah, nah, hold up. Before they start calling me 'dude,' they should be calling me 'Dad' first! I mean, I woke them up and everything!"
Earth raises an eyebrow, looking at X’s pouty face, clearly not taking him seriously.
Earth (teasing): "Dude, it's not that deep. Chill out."
The moons, ever-watchful, perk up at Earth’s words. Their glowing eyes widen as they catch onto the word 'dude.' One moon bobs closer to X, clearly testing out the new vocabulary.
First Moon (innocent): "D-dude?"
X’s eyes widen, his pout deepening as he points at the moons dramatically.
Planet X (groaning): "No, not 'dude'—Dad! C'mon, guys!"
But the moons are far too delighted with their new word. Another moon, floating past X, chirps happily.
Second Moon (cheerful): "Dood!"
Earth tries to stifle a laugh, but he’s clearly amused at X’s frustration. He crosses his arms and grins, glancing over at X with a playful smirk.
Earth (mocking): "Told ya. It’s not that deep."
X shoots him a look, still pouting, though he’s finding it harder to stay serious. One of the moons gets even bolder, floating right up to X’s face.
First Moon (grinning): "Duuuude!"
X can’t hold back anymore. He facepalms, sighing dramatically as Earth finally bursts into laughter. The sound of Earth’s laughter echoes through space, and even the moons start giggling in their soft, glowing way.
Planet X (with mock frustration): "Are you serious? I saved you guys, and this is how I’m repaid? I’m the 'dude' now?"
Earth, still laughing, shrugs casually.
Earth (grinning): "Hey, they’ve gotta learn somehow, right? And 'dude' is a classic."
X shakes his head, still pouting as the moons orbit around him, calling out their new favorite word like it’s the greatest thing they’ve ever learned.
First Moon (giggling): "Dude!"
Second Moon (nodding): "Dude sick!"
Earth wipes a tear from his eye, still laughing softly. He watches as X floats in mock defeat, surrounded by tiny moons all calling him 'dude' instead of 'Dad.'
Planet X (half-smiling): "Great. I’ve officially been demoted. Thanks, Earth."
Earth chuckles, giving X a light nudge.
Earth (teasing): "Hey, 'dude' isn’t that bad. It’s got a nice ring to it."
X rolls his eyes, though he can’t hide his own smile anymore. Despite his earlier protests, the warmth of the moment spreads, and even he starts to laugh softly at the ridiculousness of it all.
Planet X (grinning): "Fine, fine. But I swear, one day they’ll call me 'Dad'—you’ll see."
Earth smirks, crossing his arms as the moons happily orbit around them, repeating their new favorite word.
Earth (laughing): "Yeah, good luck with that, dude."

Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 10: I feel kinda bad.
Previous / Lobby / Next
The moons are still orbiting happily, chirping out their favorite new word, "dude," as they circle around Planet X and Earth. X, still pouting playfully, floats slightly away from Earth, arms crossed.
Planet X (mock grumbling): "Yeah, yeah. 'Dude' this, 'dude' that. I guess I’m just the 'cool uncle' now or something."
Earth watches X drift off a bit, his playful mood starting to fade. Even though it was all in good fun, a tiny flicker of worry crosses Earth’s mind. He glances at the moons still laughing and then back at X, who’s pretending to sulk.
Earth’s expression softens. He looks down for a moment, feeling the weight of everything they’ve been through lately. The thought of being left alone, even for something as small as this, hits a little harder than he’d like to admit.
Earth (softly, almost unsure): "Hey, uh... look, I didn’t mean to go overboard with the teasing. If it was too much, I’m sorry."
X raises an eyebrow, his pouting breaking just a little. He wasn’t really mad, but seeing Earth genuinely worried catches him off guard.
Planet X (turning towards Earth, blinking): "Wait, what? You’re serious?"
Earth shrugs, his gaze shifting between X and the moons.
Earth (quietly): "Yeah, I just... I don’t want to be left out here, alone. Even if it’s just joking, y'know? It’s been... a while since I’ve had anyone around."
For a moment, there’s a pause. The usual confidence and banter in Earth’s voice falters as he admits how he feels. X, sensing the shift, drops the act. His teasing expression softens into something more understanding.
Planet X (sincerely, floating closer): "Hey, I wasn’t actually mad, Earth. I was just messing around. You don’t have to apologize for having a little fun."
Earth looks at X, the tension easing a bit from his shoulders. He’s still not entirely sure, though, and glances away for a second.
Earth (hesitant): "You sure? I don’t want to make things weird."
X smiles, this time genuinely, and reaches out to give Earth a reassuring nudge.
Planet X (smiling warmly): "It’s not weird. Trust me, if anyone’s gonna make things weird, it’ll probably be me. And I’m not going anywhere."
Earth glances up, surprised but grateful for X’s words. Slowly, a small smile begins to creep back onto his face.
Earth (relieved, half-smiling): "Thanks, X. I just... yeah, thanks."
X nods, his grin widening again as the mood lifts. The playful light returns to his eyes as he gestures to the moons, who are still orbiting around them.

Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 8: Mimic
Previous / Lobby / Next
After their playful game of meteorite dodgeball, Earth and Planet X float together in the calm aftermath, the newborn moons still orbiting around them. The moons, glowing softly, have been silently observing the two planets interact. One of the moons gets closer to Earth, its eyes wide with curiosity.
Earth, still grinning from the game, speaks casually, unaware of the moons' growing interest in his words.
Earth (playfully): "Man, that was sick. You’ve got a decent arm for a big planet, X."
The moons tilt slightly, as if trying to understand what Earth just said. They bob up and down around him, glowing brighter as they listen intently. One moon, bolder than the others, seems to repeat Earth’s words—though not perfectly.
First Moon (mimicking): "Sss-ick…"
Planet X glances over, noticing the moons’ attempts to speak. His eyes widen in surprise as the second moon also tries.
Second Moon (hesitant): "Ahr-m…"
Earth blinks, staring at the moons, then looks over at X with a raised eyebrow.
Earth (confused): "Are they… trying to talk?"
X chuckles, floating a bit closer to the moons. He watches as they bob around Earth, still trying to piece together Earth’s slang-filled vocabulary. One of the moons lets out a small noise, as if mimicking Earth’s playful tone.
Second Moon (cheerful): "M-mahn… s-ssick…"
X bursts out laughing, clearly finding the situation amusing. He watches the moons, clearly entertained by their struggling attempts to mimic Earth’s words. Earth, on the other hand, looks a bit baffled.
Planet X (grinning): "Oh man, Earth, you’re teaching them slang? That’s hilarious."
Earth scratches his head, looking a bit embarrassed as the moons continue their mangled attempts at speech.
Earth (awkwardly): "I wasn’t really… trying to. Guess they’re just picking it up."
One of the moons floats closer to Earth, its eyes wide and bright, repeating a mix of sounds, still struggling to form words.
First Moon (excited): "Ssick! Ahr-m! Ma-hhn…"
X laughs even harder, his booming voice echoing through the quiet space. He leans back, shaking his head at the moons’ broken vocabulary.
Planet X (teasing): "You’ve got quite the vocabulary, Earth. ‘Sick’ and ‘man’? They’re gonna think that’s how planets talk!"
Earth crosses his arms, his face turning slightly red, but he cant help but chuckle as the moons continue their adorable attempts to mimic him. One of the moons even tries to copy Earth’s body language, crossing its tiny arms in mid-orbit.
Earth (smirking): "Hey, it’s not my fault I talk like this. Besides, they’re getting the hang of it."
X watches in amusement as one of the moons floats closer to Earth, almost like it’s seeking approval.
Second Moon (proudly): "Ssick?"
Earth grins, giving a playful nod to the little moon.
Earth (encouraging): "That’s right. You got it."
The moons glow brighter, clearly pleased with themselves. X can’t stop chuckling as he watches them, the lightheartedness of the moment lifting the quiet tension from earlier. He glances over at Earth, shaking his head.
Planet X (sighing): "They’re gonna end up talking like a teenager."

Love this concept! I was also wondering, will at some point cut to the solar system abd how they're doing? Do anything of them regret? If not, how does Luna feel? Does he even care? Lots of questions 🤔

Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 7: Dodgeball asteroids
Previous / Lobby / Next
Earth and Planet X drift through the dark space together, with nothing but the quiet hum of the stars and the distant twinkling lights of far-off systems. Earth hovers in silence, his eyes fixed on a small, glowing speck in the vast darkness—his former home, the solar system. He watches it with a mixture of awe and sadness. The two newborn moons orbit gently around him, glowing softly, casting light over them both.
Planet X floats nearby, glancing over at Earth. He can see the look on Earth’s face—a distant, almost longing expression. X frowns slightly, unsure if he should ask or not. He knows Earth doesn't talk much about the solar system, but the silence between them is becoming heavier.
Planet X (softly): "You still thinkin’ about them?"
Earth doesn’t answer right away, still staring at the distant solar system. He blinks, then glances over at X, snapping out of his daze.
Earth (sighing, avoiding the subject): "It’s… quieter than I expected out here."
X floats a little closer, trying to read Earth’s mood. He watches as Earth crosses his arms and fidgets slightly, clearly restless. X tilts his head, his curiosity piqued.
Planet X (teasing slightly): "Quieter, huh? Don’t tell me you're already bored of this great intergalactic adventure."
Earth smirks a little, but the look of boredom doesn’t leave his face. He turns back to the distant speck of light and shrugs.
Earth (sighing again): "Maybe a little."
X raises a brow, watching Earth’s restless movements. He’s seen this look before—Earth was clearly thinking of something, his mind wandering. X crosses his arms and floats closer.
Planet X: "Well, then… why don’t we do something about it?"
Earth looks over at him, raising an eyebrow, curious but also intrigued.
Earth (amused): "Like what?"
X shrugs, pretending to be nonchalant but also trying to gauge Earth’s reaction.
Planet X (grinning): "I don’t know. You’re the one looking all antsy. What do you usually do when you’re bored?"
Earth pauses for a moment, clearly thinking it over. Then his eyes light up as an idea sparks in his head. He glances over at a small cluster of floating asteroids not too far away, and his lips curl into a mischievous grin.
Earth: "Ever played dodgeball with asteroids?"
X blinks, looking at Earth like he’s just suggested something completely out of left field. He glances from Earth to the meteorites, then back to Earth.
Planet X (confused): "Dodgeball… with asteroids? What’s that?"
Earth chuckles, his excitement growing as he explains the game.
Earth (grinning): "It’s simple. You grab an asteroid, throw it at me, and I dodge. Then I throw one at you, and you dodge. We go back and forth. Easy, right?"
X raises an eyebrow, looking from Earth to the asteroids again, clearly unsure about this idea. His frown deepens slightly as he considers the risks.
Planet X (seriously): "You’re serious? You, a rocky planet, want to dodge asteroids?"
Earth nods eagerly, floating closer to one of the asteroids, clearly unbothered by X’s concern.
Earth: "Come on, X. Don’t tell me you’re scared. It’ll be fun."
X watches him with a skeptical expression, but his concern is clear. He crosses his arms, still not convinced.
Planet X: "I’m not scared, but you’re… fragile. What if you get hit?"
Earth chuckles, brushing off X’s worries as if they were nothing. He waves a hand dismissively.
Earth: "I’ll be fine. I’ve been through worse. A little asteroid won’t kill me."
X frowns, his protective instincts kicking in. He floats closer, his voice softening with genuine concern.
Planet X: "But I’m bigger than you. I’ve got a stronger gravitational pull. If I throw one of those too hard… I could hurt you."
Earth pauses, his playful grin fading a little as he notices X’s seriousness. For a moment, he’s taken aback by X’s concern. He hadn’t expected X to care so much. Earth shifts awkwardly, his excitement dimming slightly.
Earth (quietly): "I… didn’t think of that."
There’s a beat of silence between them as Earth looks at the asteroids, his playful energy replaced by a more thoughtful expression. X, noticing Earth’s shift, lets out a small sigh.
Planet X (gently): "Look, I don’t want to ruin your fun, but… let’s be careful, okay? I don’t want you getting hurt."
Earth looks at him for a long moment, clearly considering what X is saying. The awkward tension hangs in the air, but eventually, Earth lets out a small sigh, shaking his head.
Earth: "Alright, fine. We’ll go easy."
X watches him for a moment, then finally cracks a small smile of his own.
Planet X (smirking): "Easy, huh? Fine. Let’s see if you can dodge this."
Earth’s grin returns, and with that, the two planets start their playful game, gently tossing asteroids back and forth. The boredom and tension slowly fade away as they both start to enjoy the game, their movements becoming more fluid, more relaxed.

Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 6: Why Tho
Previous / Lobby / Next
The newborn moons orbit gently around Earth, glowing faintly in the darkness like tiny stars. Earth keeps his distance, watching them with a mixture of awe and concern. He reaches out cautiously with his gravitational pull, nudging one of them slightly, testing if it’s safe.
Earth (quietly, almost to himself): "Are they really… okay? They feel different."
Planet X stands nearby, watching with his arms crossed. He smirks but notices Earth’s hesitation.
Planet X (casually): "Yeah, they’re fine. Just need time to adjust. You’re good with them."
Earth glances at him, frowning slightly. There’s a tension in his gaze, something guarded. He’s not quite ready to accept X’s presence or his words at face value.
Earth (warily): "How do you know? You barely even know what they are."
X’s smirk falters for a moment, caught off guard by the suspicion in Earth’s tone. He scratches the back of his neck, looking a little sheepish.
Planet X (shrugging): "I’ve dealt with moons before, okay? I… had some of my own back when I was still in the solar system."
Earth narrows his eyes, still watching the moons but with a glance toward X now, suspicion lingering in his voice.
Earth: "Had?"
X pauses, his usual cocky demeanor faltering. He lets out a small sigh, avoiding Earth’s gaze for a moment as the memory of his past seeps back in.
Planet X (more quietly): "Yeah. Before I got thrown away, I don’t know. They stayed behind when I got kicked out."
Earth’s suspicion deepens, his frown growing more pronounced as he processes what X is saying. He doesn’t soften like before, still uncertain whether to trust X’s intentions.
Earth (flatly): "You were?"
Planet X (grinning, but a bit more forced): "Yeah, long story. Got into a bit of trouble with Jupiter and Saturn. He wasn't too happy about it."
Earth stiffens at the mention of Jupiter, the bitter memories flooding back. He takes a step back, clearly uncomfortable, his eyes still fixed on the moons but his guard higher than before.
Earth (cautiously): "I see."
The atmosphere shifts, the playful banter they had earlier replaced by tension. Planet X notices Earth’s discomfort, realizing he’s hit a nerve. He raises his hands in a placating gesture, trying to ease the tension.
Planet X (awkwardly): "Hey, I’m not here to cause trouble. I just… saw you, and I figured you could use some help with these moons."
Earth remains silent, still unsure. He doesn’t look at X, his focus on the newborn moons instead, as if they’re the only thing he can trust right now.
Earth: "Help, huh? You don’t even know me."
X rubs the back of his neck, looking a bit uncomfortable now. He wasn’t expecting Earth to be this guarded, but he tries to roll with it, keeping his tone light.
Planet X (lightheartedly): "Fair point. But look, I’m not the type to leave someone stranded. I’ve been there, wandering alone in the dark. I thought maybe… I don’t know, we could look out for each other, at least for a while."
Earth finally looks at him, his expression unreadable. There’s a long pause, as if he’s weighing X’s words carefully. He’s been betrayed before, forced to leave, and trusting someone so soon doesn’t come easily.
Earth (softly, but still wary): "Maybe."
X senses the hesitation and decides to back off, giving Earth some space. He tries to change the subject, pointing at the newborn moons, hoping to shift the focus away from the uncomfortable tension.
Planet X (grinning): "Guess we’re their parents now, huh? You, the cool, experienced one, and me, the… dad?"
X’s attempt at humor comes out awkward, and he winces as soon as the words leave his mouth. Earth blinks at him, taken aback by the weird phrasing. There’s an awkward silence, and for a second, Earth doesn’t know how to respond.
Then, despite himself, Earth’s lips twitch. He tries to suppress it, but a small smile forms, and a faint blush colors his cheeks.
Planet X (flustered): "Wait, no—I mean, I didn’t mean it like that! I just—"
Earth finally lets out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. He doesn’t fully trust X yet, but there’s something about the way X stumbles over his words that breaks through his defenses, if only for a moment.
Earth (smiling, a little teasing): "Really? The 'dad'?"
X looks at him in mock offense, eyes wide with amusement.
Planet X (grinning): "Hey! Are you laughing at me?"
Earth tries to hold it in, but the absurdity of the moment gets to him. He bursts out laughing, the sound surprising even himself. It’s the first time in a long while he’s laughed, and it feels strange but good.
X watches him, a bit stunned at first, but then he joins in, chuckling alongside Earth. The tension between them melts away, replaced by the warmth of shared laughter. It’s still tentative, fragile, but for a moment, it feels like maybe things don’t have to be so cold and dark.
Planet X (grinning): "See? I knew I’d get you to laugh eventually."
Earth shakes his head, still smiling, but there’s a guardedness in his eyes as he looks at X. He’s not ready to fully trust him, not yet, but maybe, just maybe, he can let his guard down a little.
Earth (quietly): "Maybe."
For now, they stand together in the darkness, surrounded by the glowing moons, a strange and unlikely partnership slowly beginning to form.

Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 5: Well, I guess that works too.
Previous / Lobby / Next
The newborn moons glow softly as they orbit around Earth and Planet X. Earth watches them, a mix of awe and nostalgia in his expression, while Planet X tries to figure out the strange feeling he’s having.
Planet X (grinning, watching the moons): "Looks like they’re getting the hang of things. We might be… you know… like, their parents or something."
Earth raises an eyebrow, glancing at him.
Planet X (rubbing the back of his head, a little awkward): "I mean… you’re the cool, experienced one, obviously, and, uh… I guess that makes me the… dad?"
As soon as he says it, X realizes how weird it sounds. His eyes widen, and he quickly tries to backtrack.
Planet X (flustered, laughing nervously): "Wait, no, that’s not—uh, I didn’t mean it like that! I mean, not that you couldn’t be the mom, I just… ugh."
Earth looks at him, his usual guarded demeanor cracking as a slight blush creeps onto his cheeks. He’s caught off guard, not sure what to say, but the corners of his mouth tug into a small smile.
Planet X (noticing Earth’s expression, flustered but amused): "Hey! Are you... are you laughing at me?"
Earth can’t hold it in any longer. He tries to stifle it, but then bursts into laughter—a genuine, lighthearted sound that echoes through the emptiness of space.
Earth (laughing): "I… I wasn’t, believe me!"
Planet X stares at him, half in embarrassment, half in amusement. He crosses his arms, pretending to pout but secretly enjoying the moment.
Planet X (grinning despite himself): "Oh, I see how it is. My awkward slip-up is comedy gold to you, huh?"
Earth continues to laugh, the sound warming the air between them. It’s the first time X has seen him genuinely happy since they met, and he can’t help but smile, even though he’s still blushing from the earlier comment.
Earth (wiping a tear, still chuckling): "Sorry, it’s just… the way you said it! You really went all in with the 'dad' thing."
Planet X shakes his head, laughing now too, the earlier awkwardness melting into something easy and warm.
Planet X (chuckling): "Well, someone’s gotta take charge, right? And hey, you didn’t disagree with the 'mom' part."
Earth blushes again, but this time it’s mixed with a genuine smile. He shakes his head, looking at X with a warmth that wasn’t there before.
Earth: "I guess I didn’t."

Part 4: After Waking the Moons
Previous / Lobby / Next
The newborn moons glow softly, orbiting Earth and Planet X like tiny stars. Earth and X float together, watching the moons in quiet wonder.
Planet X (smiling, watching the moons): "It’s strange, isn’t it? They act like they’ve known us forever."
One of the moons drifts closer to Earth, its glow intensifying as it circles him, almost playfully.
Earth (with a soft smile): "They remind me of... the old days. When Luna was just a newborn, learning how to orbit. Back when everything was simpler."
Planet X (curious): "You ever think about that? What it was like when you first had moons?"
Earth (shrugging, his tone a little wistful): "I try not to. It’s hard to think about the past without feeling… bitter."
X nods, respecting Earth’s hesitation. They watch as the two newborn moons float around them, moving closer, almost like they’re trying to understand the two planets.
Planet X (chuckling): "I think they’re trying to figure us out."
One of the moons slowly edges closer to Planet X, its glow flickering like a signal. It spins around him curiously, and X raises a brow.
Planet X (playful): "Hey, little guy, you trying to communicate?"
The moon flickers again, its glow pulsing in rhythm. Earth and X exchange a glance, both intrigued.
Earth (curious): "Maybe they’re picking up on our energy… learning from us."
Planet X (grinning): "Seems like they’re trying to talk. Not bad for newborns, huh?"
The other moon drifts towards Earth, circling him gently, its glow intensifying. Earth watches it, feeling the faint warmth from the moon's heat as it brushes against his surface.
Earth (softly, almost to himself): "They’re... learning." Previous / Lobby / Next

Part 3: Settling the moons
Previous / Lobby / Next
Together, Earth and X make their way back to the dead moons that had been flung towards Earth after his exile. They’re cold, gray, and lifeless, scattered in the vast emptiness of space.
Earth (looking at the moons, worried): "They’re so... still. Can we really bring them back?"
Planet X (smirking): "Oh, don’t worry. I’ve got this. Just watch."
X positions himself near the moons, his gravitational pull slowly tugging at them. One by one, the moons start to shift, drawn into Earth’s orbit.
Planet X (grinning): "There we go. Just gotta get them moving again... wake them up."
The moons, now orbiting Earth, start to glow faintly. Slowly, their dull, gray surfaces brighten with heat. One by one, they begin to open their eyes, like newborns seeing the world for the first time.
Earth (in awe): "They’re... alive."
The moons glow, casting a soft light over Earth and X. The warmth from the moons begins to melt the snow and ice on Earth’s surface, bringing a hint of color back to his oceans and land.
Planet X (impressed): "Well, would you look at that. You’re getting your colors back. Blue, green... never seen anything like it."
Earth (smiling, feeling the warmth): "It’s... beautiful."
Planet X (grinning): "Yeah, you are. I mean, uh—the planet. You know, your surface. The colors and all."
Earth chuckles, noticing X’s flustered attempt at a compliment.
Earth (teasing): "Thanks, X."
X chuckles along but suddenly pauses, realizing something.
Planet X: "Wait, hold on... I never asked—what do you call yourself? You know, we’ve been talking, and here I am calling you ‘you,’ but I don’t even know your name."
Earth: He pauses, hesitating for a moment, as if recalling painful memories, but eventually responds "It’s Earth."
Planet X: "Earth... huh." He lets the name roll off his tongue, as if trying it out "Nice name. Short and to the point. And it suits you, especially with the whole ‘blue and green’ thing going on."
Earth (with a soft smile): "Yeah... I guess it does."
The moons, now glowing fully, orbit around Earth like small stars. The icy surface of Earth reflects their light, and for the first time in a long while, he feels... alive.
Planet X (grinning): "Well, Earth, looks like we’re off to a pretty good start. You’re waking up, and these little ones are looking to you for guidance."
Earth watches as the newborn moons circle around them, their curiosity palpable.
Earth (softly): "I’m used to having moons around... so this isn’t too new."
Planet X (teasing): "And here I thought I was teaching you something new."
Earth (smiling): "Maybe just reminding me."
They both share a small laugh, the mood lighter now. The warmth of the glowing moons brings color and life back to Earth, while Planet X watches with fascination.
Planet X (with a smirk): "Looks like we make a pretty good team, huh? Don’t mind me saying."
Earth (smiling softly, glancing at X): "Yeah... we do."

Part 2: New Companion
Part 1 / Lobby / Next
After Planet X pulls the moons away, Earth is still processing everything. They drift together for a while in silence, the darkness around them now feeling less empty.
Planet X (casually floating beside Earth): "So, what’s your story, anyway? What’s a planet like you doing all the way out here, wandering the deep dark all alone?"
Earth (hesitant): "It’s... a long story."
Planet X (grinning): "Good thing I’ve got nothing but time. Spill it."
Earth hesitates for a moment, but there’s something about X's laid-back energy that makes it easier to talk. He glances at the gray moons still orbiting around X, wondering if they’ll try to attack again, but they seem calm.
Earth (sighing): "I was exiled... kicked out of my own solar system."
Planet X (whistles): "Oof. That’s rough. What for? Stealing someone’s orbit?"
Earth (shaking his head, a bitter laugh): "No... worse. I was blamed for... murder. Of a moon."
Planet X (raising an eyebrow): "Murder? You don’t seem like the type."
Earth (voice heavy): "It wasn’t even my fault... There was a revolution. The moons—they were angry at the planets, including me. They thought we treated them badly, used them, ignored them. It spiraled out of control, and... someone died." Earth glances away, ashamed. Earth (softly): "I didn’t kill her. But they blamed me anyway. I lost everything."
Planet X listens quietly, his usual playful demeanor fading into something more serious. After a long pause, he speaks up.
Planet X: "Let me guess... you didn’t even get to defend yourself, huh?"
Earth (nodding): "Exactly. The trial was... twisted. They made me out to be the villain. I tried to explain, but no one listened."
Planet X (a dark chuckle): "Yeah, I know that feeling. Got booted out of the solar system myself. Same old story—someone’s gotta take the fall."
Earth (surprised): "Wait, you were exiled too?"
Planet X (smirking): "Yup. Jupiter kicked me out a long time ago. Said I was causing too much ‘chaos.’ Which, to be fair, I probably was. But hey, that’s what you get when you’re big and got strong gravity. Can’t help it if I mess with a few orbits now and then, right?"
Earth actually laughs a little, despite himself.
Earth (soft chuckle): "I guess we’re both misfits, then."
Planet X (grinning): "Exactly! Misfit planets gotta stick together. I mean, what’s the point of drifting through space alone? We might as well cause some chaos while we’re at it."
Earth feels a strange sense of comfort in X’s words, like he’s found someone who understands him in a way no one else has. For the first time in months, he doesn’t feel completely lost.
Earth: "Maybe you're right... but, I still have people back home. Earthlings. They’re frozen now—without sunlight, they don’t stand a chance."
Planet X (thoughtful): "Earthlings, huh? Gotta say, never had any of those on me. Sounds like a lot of responsibility."
Earth (nodding): "Yeah... they’re like my family. I can’t just leave them to die."
Planet X taps his chin, thinking.
Planet X: "Well, how about this? We go check out those dead moons that were launched at you. See if there’s anything we can do to help ‘em. Maybe we can wake ‘em up."
Earth (hopeful): "You think that could work?"
Planet X (shrugging): "Who knows? But it’s worth a shot, right? I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve. Gravity’s a funny thing—you’d be surprised what it can do."
Earth looks at X, a glimmer of hope sparking in his eyes. For the first time in a long while, he feels like maybe, just maybe, he’s not as helpless as he thought.
Earth (nodding): "Let’s try it."
