tips for recording your darling!!!!! this is specifically for like discord/desktop calls but i bet someone can add with other ways to help record!

1. first of all make sure youre living in an area with "one party recording consent" or uh. be prepared for consequences if youre found out? luckily i live where it's perfectly safe for me to record full calls as long as im in them! should be easy enough to google.

2. i personally use audacity. it's an old program but it's free and works well. that's what i will be using to explain the rest here.

3. when you go to start recording:

- make sure you dont have any background music or videos going on. we are capturing all the noises your headphones will hear.

- under "audio setup" set your recording device to whatever has "(loopback)" as an option! this also means you don't hear your own voice when the recording is done, just your darling's.

4. during the call:

- you might be tempted to pause the recording if they leave to do something like mute for the washroom, but leave it running if possible. this way you can get their words when they return without scrambling to start it again, and you can just cut out all the extra blank space later by highlighting the part without sound and hitting the delete key on your keyboard.

- timestamp parts of your darling's words you want to enjoy later! this can make it easier to find if they said something really nice but you can't remember what part of the conversation it was in. either manually write it down on paper or use notepad, something of the sort. just don't lose it.

5. after the call:

- spend some time editing out long gaps in speech. I tend to find more than 10 seconds of silence weird when listening back to recordings. just remember to leave some space.

- just saving the file won't help as much if you want to put it on your phone as it likely can't read audacity's aup3 files. instead, go to "export audio" which is under the "file" tab at the top! you likely recognize mp3, but wav works too if you want. I use google drive to move the huge files (hour long recordings...) to my phone.

go enjoy listening to your darling! this way you dont need to be away from their voice when they go to work or sleep.

for tracking your darling down long distance no detail is too small. If you know what state/region they're in it can be super easy to work out at least their general area from there. If the mention living in an area that is more liberal or more conservative, if they mention being near a restaurant serving a certain type of food or car dealership selling s certain type of car, if they mention how long their commute to/from work is and you know what they do, if they mention being near schools or malls or grocery stores. You probably won't be able to find their exact apartment number or address like that but it'll get you very close within a few block radius. And don't forget to check streetview on Google maps! If they've mentioned having a type of car or colour of car or having certain plants in their yard you may be able to find their exact address, this is a little more difficult with apartments but you may be able to at least find which complex they're in. Also, sometimes people will end up in the photos on streetview and theres a chance they'll have ended up in the photo of their house/apartment so you'll know for sure that they live there

i’ll take this in a non-sexual way lmao. probably dominant? i’ve been described as a bit of a control freak and i often like to be in charge of things and whatnot. (plus it feels good to be worshipped haha)

sunflower: if your darling ever tried to run away, what would you realistically do? what would you want to do?

realistically i’d try to, obviously, keep them with me and use whatever methods i’d need to do that (lovebombing? guilt-tripping? gaslighting? threats, even?). but what i would want to really do is just keep them in a little cage so they can’t escape and they depend on and love me forever <3

tulip: would you ever leave your darling? what can you not forgive that would make you break up with them?

it probably depends. i usually wouldn’t leave my darling unless our relationship took a huge turn for the worse and they just… stopped being interesting to me? maybe if i stopped loving them? in those situations i usually get really emotionally unavailable and like. ghost them and stuff. it sounds bad, but i promise it’s really not (i hope). it’d take a lot for me to break up with someone, but the thing i usually don’t forgive is cheating (and even then i probably wouldn’t break up with them. maybe just delete everyone else’s contacts from their phone or something) or abusing my trust.

probably honesty? i want someone to tell me exactly what’s wrong with me and what i can do to fix it. it’d also be nice to have deep and meaningful conversations and whatever. i’d also like them to share at least some of the same interests as me so we have something to talk about.

it really depends on the request i made. if it’s like pda or boundaries or something i’ll definitely be respectful and try to uphold that. in other cases, i might be a bit irritated but i’ll move on. if the request is very important to me, though, i might lash out, but i usually try not to.
