The PBB&J at the Pint Room

I went out to grab a bite with some friends on the recommendation I needed to try the Peanut Butter & Jelly burger.

I was skeptical, but the burger surprised. The beef had a Smokey flavor with bacon, and the peanut butter wasn’t overwhelming. There was a nice roll of flavors as you chewed - beef, jelly, peanut butter. It was definitely a unique burger flavor.

Overall, good burger.

Costa Rican Burger @ La Roca

While in Costa Rica, after a long hike looking at howler monkeys we decided to grab some food.

They had their Costa Rican burger, which was Hawaiian-styled burger. It was very sweet, with a sweet jelly and a grilled pineapple on top of a burger patty. It was very sweet, with a unique flavor - the pineapple and jelly was definitely the prime flavor.

Overall, good burger.

Restaurant La Pataterie

In Massy, France - just outside Paris - I grabbed a burger at this potato-centric restaurant.

This burger had hashbrowns for buns and topped with goat cheese and a honey glaze. This unconditional cheeseburger called for an unconditional eating method: using a fork. Overall though, the flavor profile was great and it was a unique take on a classic dish. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

Overall, pretty-good burger.

Hippopotamus in Massy, France

I had the Hippopotamus burger at the Hippopotamus restaurant in Massy, just outside of Paris.

The burger had a very strong onion taste. I like onions so I enjoyed it. The black pepper sauce though balanced it out really nicely, give it a good peppery flavor, onions, with high quality beef. The fries were lightly crispy on the outside.

Overall, good burger.

Creamline Rosenkrans Farm Burger

While in New York City, I decided to stop by Creamline at the Chelsea Market to grab an NYC burger.

The burger was excellent. It looked simple but had a great blend of pickle, onion, and beef flavor. I finished it without putting it down. The fries with their pepper cheese sauce was an excellent side.

Overall, pretty-good burger.

Encore

While in Paris, France I decided to try the Encore smash burger.

The burger was good, and definitely captured the "smash". The party was juicy, and flavorful with crisp lettuce and pickles. The crinkle cut fries were crisp and well seasoned.

Overall, good burger.

Jackson Avenue Pub

I was in Bolingbrook and met up with my friends Bob and Jason to check out Jackson Avenue Pub's impressive burger portfolio.

I decided to try the Drunken Pear burger. The goat cheese and pear was a very unique flavor. Mixed with the glaze, it had a very sweet flavor. The taste was unique but the flavors went well together. The fries were good, and we enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip as well.

Overall, good burger.

Street Burger

While staying in London, I noticed a place called Street Burger that was a Gordon Ramsay restaurant.

I ordered up a burger with chips. The burger was juicy, and the lettuce, tomato, and pickles very crisp. The thick fries had a good seasoning on them, and we're nice and crunchy on the outside.

Overall, good burger.

Plum + Spilt Milk

While in London I decided to try a burger.

The burger was juicy, and the fresh vegetables definitely gave it a little garden taste. The sauce added a little zest when added to the burger. The "chips" were crisp and a good side.

Overall, good burger.

Burger Garage

I was traveling through Copenhagen and had a chance to stop and try a burger in Denmark.

The burger was good. It had a charred taste to it, and sliced cucumbers which were a nice addition. The curly fries were an excellent recommendation.

Overall, good burger.

Shake Shack

I ordered Shake Shack for lunch the other day. I got the burger, cheese fries, and a milk shake.

The burger was good and juicy, with a buttery flavor. The tomato and onions were crisp. The crinkle fries were crispy, and the the melted cheese was thick, not saucy.

The milk shake was a nice to wash it down.

Overall, good burger.

Flip Side

I went for a nice work lunch at Flip Side.

I got the Flip Side burger. It is a BBQ burger. It keeps the toppings simple to not overpower the BBQ flavor: cheese, bacon, onions. The house BBQ sauce adds a nice flavor.

Overall, good burger.

Northstar

Northstar is one of my favorite burgers in Columbus. When I first had Northstar's burger I was shocked at how delicious it was. It was an unexpected treat, and a burger that punches up.

The burger has a good beef flavor, crisp toppings, and a good full flavor. The crispy, thin fries are a nice side for a delicious traditional burger.

Overall, pretty-good burger.

Swenson's Drive In

They opened a Swenson's by the Ikea here in Columbus. After buying some furniture, I stopped for a drive-up burger before going home and assembling swedish furniture.

The burger was tasty for a fast-casual drive up. It has a stronger onion taste, which I enjoyed. The Potato Teezers were a delicious fries replacement.

Overall, good burger.

Forty Deuce Cafe and Club

Date night, and the wife and I visited a new burger joint with a menu full of New York named cheeseburgers.

I had the Times Square, which is their classic burger. The burger was good, and the side of crispy tater tots was an excellent side. We finished the meal with a milkshake.

Blackwall Hitch

Shout-out to Alexandra, as this is her second burger with me on this list.

I was in Annapolis for business, and had an opportunity to try a local burger.

The beef was good, the cheese melted on nicely, and the toasted bun made for a good burger. The crisp, seasoned fries made the meal complete.

Restoration Hardware

We visited the 4th floor Restoration Hardware restaurant for our 9-year anniversary.

The burger was delicious. The waitress recommended adding the bacon, as it adds an additional smoked flavor to the beef. The burger tastes delicious, and the bacon does add a nice smoked flavor to a great tasting burger.

Their truffle fries are amazing. If you are a fan of truffles, the fries are a perfect side.

I wasn't sure what to expect and the burger doesn't look extraordinary, but this burger may be my new favorite burger in Columbus.

Overall, pretty good burger.
