hello!! answering this bc it makes sense to do so when i was gonna make a post in regards to this anyway!

if u guys somehow get a new fic or post from me at any point in the next month, then that means i somehow found the time to sit down and write. if not… that’s bc my life is CRAZY rn 😭😭 my birthday just passed and i had a lot of running around to do. i’ve also been working a lot more than i was at the beginning of the summer, and i’m moving halfway across the country next month so preparations for that have been hectic.

i honestly haven’t even had time to properly talk to those i care about and i need to get better at allowing myself to have designated breathing space, as well as time for my personal needs and wants.

i do hope to try and get around to posting again bc i genuinely enjoy writing and i miss interacting with everyone, but we’ll just have to see how life goes from here on out </3

like, the man is so down bad that there is absolutely no doubt to anyone that he has found the love of his life. it’s not only the fact that he loves talking about you (which he does, to the point that everyone else is a little tired of it), but he also is just so boyfriend coded and he will never EVER let anyone think that he is single. why would he hide the fact that the most amazing human being in the universe actually liked him back? beats him. he won’t only mention you in every possible scenario, but he’ll also have you as his phone screen saver, have a picture of the both of you in his phone case and even maybe get a chain with your initials. and don’t even get me started on all the matching stuff he will get you. rings, bracelets, keychains, you name it and he has found a way to match it.

𐙚⋆.˚  he LOVES skinship with you.

ever since the moment your skin first grazed his, he became obsessed. there is just something so secure about being able to feel you close to him that he can’t help but look for it constantly. he loves holding hands and having his arm swung around your shoulders when you’re out in public; it isn’t excessive nor disrespectful but it still shows everyone that you’re with him, as well as reassures him that you’re okay. if you’re not the type to show those signs of affection around other people he would understand 100% and settle for having your hands be close enough for your pinkies to be touching. however, when you’re alone he takes more liberties to touch you however he pleases. expect him to lay his head on your lap while he tells you about his day, to pull you onto his lap when he’s sitting on his desk with his computer and also to give you lots of hugs. minjae seems like the type of person that hugs you with his entire body —and i mean full squeeze, nose buried on the crook of your neck.

𐙚⋆.˚  he makes sure to also continue being your friend even after you’re dating.

it is easy to forget some aspects of your previous relationship once the switch from platonic to romantic is made, but minjae makes sure to keep the things he deemed the most important from your initial friendship. he keeps the lightheartedness, the joking and the teasing. he wants to make sure that your relationship isn’t superficial enough to be limited to only being lovey-dovey; you are each other’s best friends that just happen to be completely and utterly in love. with this said, there is a lot of teasing present in your day to day; he especially enjoys watching you get pouty and flustered. still, the moment when he sees even the smallest flicker of actual upset in your eyes he will stop and make sure you knew he was joking. this normally leads to elongated cuddle sessions.

𐙚⋆.˚  he will be your number one cheerleader.

there is nothing he values more than letting you know that no matter what happens, the smallest achievement or the biggest failure, he will be there to cheer for you. he will always voice his pride out loud; either through loving whispers shared only between the two of you or the most public announcements in the world. with this comes a great deal of reassurance about anything and everything. his biggest fear is for you to feel like he isn’t being supportive of you, so he will express his support daily. you chose to have a different kind of coffee that morning? “good job baby, i’m so proud of you for trying new things.” you accidentally fell asleep and were late to whatever pressing commitment you had? “sometimes you have to choose your own rest, that’s just how it is.” this is not to say that he will not be completely honest with you, though. communication is the most important to him, and he will tell you if he doesn’t agree with something you’re doing/saying. still, its never from a place of annoyance or judgement; he will tell you what he thinks calmly, explaining his point of view clear enough for you to get it. in the end, all he wants is for you to know he’s there.

𐙚⋆.˚  the og romantic lowkey

minjae LIVES to make you happy and show you how much he loves you. he will be doing romantic gestures, both big and small at least once a week (and he will consider himself to be failing if that’s the case). from bringing you your favorite flowers and snacks whenever he goes over to yours to writing full songs talking about the way your eyes sparkle when you look at him, nothing is out of the question. he just loves you so much that he can’t help but want to shower you with gifts and over the top gestures to remind you of that fact. every time he goes anywhere he will go back to you with a bag full of little things that reminded him of you for you to have, and there is a song added to the specific playlist he made you almost every day. he can’t help the way that every single love song in the world reminds him of you and how perfectly amazing you are for him.

𐙚⋆.˚  he WILL steal your clothes

when you started dating you expected to have a whole new addition to your closet. you were determined to steal your favorite items out of his own closet, knowing he didn’t really mind when you did. what you were not counting on though, was him thinking the exact same thing. he sees you wearing a beanie he particularly liked? trust that he will be wearing it to his next practice. you have an oversized shirt that fits him well? it's suddenly gone and in his possession. he will steal anything he likes, because it's only fair for him to do it when you do the same, right? in reality, he just does it because he loves having pieces of you to take with him in his day to day.

𐙚⋆.˚  he takes care of you in every single possible way

if there is something you will never lack when being with minjae, it’s care. he is the first person to remind you that you need to take care of yourself in every single case scenario. and he WILL get mad at you if you don’t. he gets annoyed when he notices that you’ve been neglecting your health, whether physical or mental, he doesn’t care what the reason is. even though he will always push himself to the limit, he doesn't believe in letting you do the same. in his head, you’re more valuable than anything in the world. is it school? a grade doesn’t define your entire life. work? quit, he will keep you maintained. even when his annoyance will be evident, he’ll never be mean to you about it. he will scold you as he gently does your skin care, sitting between your legs as he had you sat on the sink after a breakdown, later cuddling you until you're asleep as he runs his fingers through your hair.
