A poem i wrote.

Its probably terrible but oh well

Omen

I wonder what omen it is to see a child,

Alone and young.

No more than 3 or 4 playing in the sun.

Usually that wouldn’t be out of the norm,

Except the winds drifted through the forest.

Only grazing me and the child,

Nobody else for miles.

I called out to them to see if they were ok,

They turned around, something was off.

Their face, a blur of colour yet no features.

My heart fell to my feet and began to beat faster,

Trying to get back to its spot and failing miserably.

I noticed the child's clothes were old and tattered, ripped.

I spun as fast as I could, tripped on a twig.

My face hit the floor and my shirt ripped as I fell.

As my vision faded to black I realised,

The child reflected me, younger yet still me.

My facial features unrecognizable as the rocks and sticks pierced my face.

My clothes became ripped and covered in mud.

I was merely a young adult, a teenager,

As I fell and reached my end.

My heart stopped fighting for its spot.

With my last few seconds of hearing approaching,

The child, an omen of death, let out a haunting sigh.

Any advice and constructive criticism is welcome, i wrote this in like 10 minutes
