since seeing the recent 'leaks' for the new octavinelle 'chapter' in the twst manga

I was wondering how Azul would show you he likes you

maybe its from him boasting his achievements while you're in ear shot to let you know just how accomplished he is. because after all, the3 ladies love a well rounded guy 😼

but he makes sure to reel it down a bit when he thinks you might think of him as full of himself (to which he is to some extent.) mainly because he heard you grumble the other day about how pretentious some of the students are. he agrees! stop acting like you achieved something when you haven't!

he's different because[insert list of achievements]

he seems like the type of guy to subtly listen to your food preferences (by sitting near you in the cafeteria during lunch time) and oh boy! there's now a special dessert at the monster lounge for a limited time only!

oh no... one of the twins are serving you and he/ one of them creates some kind... spectacle in the lounge. yes its unprofessional and it kills him. but he makes it seem like some customers had a bad day and decided to take it out on his power helpless employees

he has no other choice but to go up to your table and apologize for you... rowdy neighbors.

no! he cannot have a first time guest think so poorly of him. here- you already ordered their limited addition dessert, how about he gies you another one for... 15- no! 20 percent off! everyone else has to pay full price though... yes even your other neighbors who he merely apologizes about the disruption for

azul is a cocky coward to sum it up

he plays the game well, but also has no idea what to do. plan all he like, charm all he likes. the reality is is that that's not getting him closer to you. not yet that is.

he's calculative. I mean, you have to be to be running a successful business at 17. see! he is good at everything (why are you bringing up gym. that's pointless in the business world. he is in good enough shape no? he is strong despite his skinny stature... who cares about stamina.-)

he's smart, kind (eye roll), and a hoot to be around!

after azul has 'crafted' his personality to you through subtle gestures (he only does around you), kind gestures (only to you...) and his feats as to why you should like him (through 'subliminal messaging'

he's going to move onto plan B! where he slowly intagrats himself into your life. mhm.

so when you and grim are looking around for a partner in the first year second year crewel assignment azul is a king enough senior to offer his assitan- no there's no catch.

he just thought that you would need all the help you can get- not that you're dumb, but with... azul doesn't even need to finish his sentence before grim is sashaying his way to the chemicals.

oh no, you happen to bump into the table and are falling with the beakers and test tubes? no worries! azul is there to play knight in shining armor and grab you, hoist you up, and protect you from the falling glass that shatters into smithereens on the ground.

yes crewel is yelling at you but see how reliable he is!! not only is he smart and... handsome- but he is a natural protector!-

just dont smile at him like that while you tuck your hair behind your ear- it makes him feel... queasy (that's what they call butterflies azul)

while merpeople are shown to be more touch centric than everyone else. when you accidentally touch Azul's finger when handing over a beaker, azul is lucky that you're on his right side where his long strand of grey hair is blocking your vision of his blush strikes face-

NO HE'S NOT ILL- does he look it? his face is blue- (you're so innocent he just wants to strangle you ugh. how utterly adorable) it's just... ridiculously hot in here, dont you think? boy he's parched.

he swiftly makes an exit to the bathroom to get. a. grip. he almost let his carefully crafted charismatic personality slip and show you- no time to dwell on the past.

something tells him that he shouldn't be leaving you, grim and chemicals alone

when you tell azul about how jade was saying he's just as good as potions as the benevolent sea witch azul 'humphs.' why of course he is. as the dorm leader of-

....yes he did have a lot of time to study in his childhood and has been doing stuff like this for a long time. what about it.

azul can't help but feel.. irritated. what else did jade say to you? hmm?

oh.. that was all? clearing his throat, he looks back at jade who is wearing a shit batting grin. the eel-mer lowering himself into his seat as his amber eye catches the light of the potion room. it's that reverted, sadistic grin he likes to wear when he's up to no good. having sowed the first seeds of his discord and is waiting for another opportunity to tend to his garden of chaos.

whatever. lets just focus on the assignment. yes prefect he is fine.

azul doesn't like for things to go sideways. he has plan A through Z all thought out and ready to go at any minute. but when a number is added to his perfectly organized letter plans, that's when his knuckles turn white and his nails dent his palms.

the leeches are always there to keep him on his toes. he just thought that he kept his... admiration for you under good enough wraps that his two pesky workers wouldn't find out, not until later when your relationship is closer. but nnooooOOOoo

it was his own fault for underestimating them after all.

but time and time again he has prevailed through such hardships and will continue to best them when they think they can toy with him. and to win means together you no matter what they whisper in your ear and what they don't.

OMG I REMEMBER HOW OVERWHELMING MAKING A BLOG WAS WHEN I FIRST CAME ONTO TUMBLR

I wanted to get it just right and wanted all the fancy bells and whistles all of my favorite creators had (and the blogs I took inspo from)

but honestly, it's up to you

I would first think about: what kind of vibe do you want to give off? what impression do you want people to have when they first come across your blog?

also, I have fun roaming pinterest for aesthetic images!! it also helps to keep a designated board for all the things you like so you can see what goes with what.

I would also look around Tumblr for blog inspo so you can see what you like and don't like.

links were a PAIN to learn about

tags are your best friend, even if you dont make a master list or a separate post to keep links of what you post, having tags is a much easier way to keep track of what you post. and making it organized

unfortunately badass y/n doesn't come until much much later in the story 😔

miss girl has a lot of trauma from the past, (and a LOT coming in the future😉) and a lot of conditioning done by her family to overcome.

at first the reader got kidnapped in their wedding dress. back then I wanted it to be a pantsuit with a cape. even with some colors for the Pomefiore kingdom-

but reader is definitely in over the top- everything

but thinking about it now, since reader was getting married to riddle it would be a more 'pure' dress (especially with his mom yikes,) but crewel and vil would definitely make sure it was elegant, yet stylish.

its funny thinking about reader in an over the top puffy wedding dress stumbling 'down to the docks' and jack trying to kidnap her but all the tulle and mountains of fabric getting in his way and blocking his vision. he swears he's gonna be spitting tulle out for the next week like a cat spits out a hairball😭

(you're rich, it doesn't matter if he destroys it, right? you can buy a bigger, puffier one when he returns you anyways)

UGH THE DRESS IS SO UGLY TO READER- it looks like one of those spring prom dresses the girls from the southern u.s are wearing. reader definitely thinks its over the top but crewel and vil know what they're doing, right? if they say she looks good then she must look, regardless of her... opinions

tdlr: reader hates the dress. but she must wear it for her father, riddle and vil. plus symbolism for down the line

this is actually helping me if envisioning the reader and the plot (making it easier to plan)

thank god reader was kidnapped, cause riddle would get swallowed alive if he stood next to that dress😭😭

Hi! So I have a question about the twst pirate at. So uh what are the blot gems in the story, and why are we collecting them?

in the originally story (not sure it was gonna change)

the blot stones are given to the 7 ‘pirate captains’ / sear warlords. it’s very prestigious and an honor to receive one. you can get it taken away from you though (in battle or by a king if said king gabe it to you)

there’s a war to collect them all because it’s believed that by having all of them, you can get some kind of treasure (like in the first potc movie with the chest)

and reader… well i’m going to be honest with you, i never figured out why reader is collecting them- which is a huge plot hole. and it show’s that i didn’t complete the storyline.

but all i know is that reader has something that shouldn’t exist- an eighth piece. and isn’t it easier to steal a piece from a princess than a pirate lord?🤭🤭

and if you have more than one than you already have a leg up on your competition.

theres shanty’s and legends that if you have more than one you will eventually get them all, as lady luck has blessed you. it also because its rumored that if you posses one, then you are given power… powers no one can explain expect for davy jones

i decided to answer this ask first mainly because it’s been a while since i looked or even wrote for twst pirate au. i’ve been meaning to get back into it so your ask(s) came at a good time 🤭

unfortunately twst pirate is a non overblot / non ‘magic’ au. there will still be potions and stuff tho. the closest thing to being an overblot will be azul’s… form, when he’s not cosplaying a human.

i mainly got inspired from pirates of the caribbean (had a huge 1 week phase with that lol)

but honestly, i’m gonna restructure and re plot the whole thing just because i never really had a completed plot line for it. i’m planning on rewriting chapter one, and uploading some old works to this account from my old account when i’m ready to start nose diving into it 🤭

but don’t worry anon, i have plans to continue with the pirate au and it shoulllllld be coming out in the summer months when i have more time 🤭
