#okay buckle up because i got feelings about this#in an age where intimacy coordination has made huge strides bc intimacy on screen was so unsafe for especially women before#it is mind boggling to me that you keep asking these questions in interviews to get a freaky headline#it's not like you're being quirky bc like. look at this. she's asked this multiple times#it's a disservice to a craft of the coordinator and the actors themselves to do this#it's somehow also not unexpected especially with great actors and coordinators which make this look so seamlessly good#and it's not like you can't really ask anything about this but why not ask for a technical perspective here?#like: how did you and your costar create the relationship as we see on screen? did you have input or was it director's vision?#how do you feel about kissing on screen with the introduction of the intimacy coordinator?#how did you develop the relationship on screen? was it difficult to keep track of what the emotional throughline was#when filming not chronologically?#how do you make sure everyone is comfortable in the scene?#when you have a character in a relationship are there certain questions you ask in developing that aspect of the character?#more generally: do you have certain mechanisms in place when you can't really shake a scene off at first?#these questions are just stupid#especially since they are just gossip shit when zendaya is in well documented relationship with another well known actor#i recently had my first intimacy coordination exercises bc i have to be very teenagery in love with someone i don't really know that well#it's superinteresting#made me feel very much safer to have the language to discuss what's happening and the movements removed from emotion#i've had bad experiences before when having to kiss on stage before so this really helped#plus these questions invite sexuality speculation when in queer relationships so. i'm really not into them#most of these actors love the craft of acting. please start asking them about it. i love it when they do!#zendaya
