We begin our story in Cardigan. Betty felt like an old cardigan, but James said she was his favorite. Then Betty says, “chase two girls, lose the one.” Referring to James chasing two girls, loosing one. They used to kiss in cars. She knew James would come back to her, asking her back, once the ‘thrill’ of the affair expired.

Then we move to August. This is the story about a girl who was with someone that she knew she shouldn't have. Told them to get in her car when she pulled up. It was a summer love, a summer, an August that was never hers. She knew James was never hers. James belonged to Betty.

We end with James’ story in Betty. So many rumors around the cobblestone town (that appears in Cardigan) that James was seeing another girl, and admits that this rumor was true this time. That she pulled up next to him and said “James, get in, let’s drive.” James desperately wants Betty back, dreams of Betty in her cardigan, and wishing they would kiss in his car again.

I can’t believe Miss Americana played a flash back video of taylor singing and she mentions the radio station KZLA and that was the very first station you heard her on the radio that summer of 2006 and that station shut down after the summer Tim McGraw was released, LA’s only country station. WOAH talk about memory lane. @taylorswift

It breaks my heart to hear that Taylor’s first magazine cover (one that I was so excited to share the excitement with taylor when I met her that she was on the cover her first magazine!!!!) had the audacity from sick people to comment on her weight, by wearing something a normal 18 year old would wear. Taylor was radiant in this cover and every other sundress and cowboy boot outfit wearing after that.

You’re beautiful taylor, in every way on the inside and out.

This speech had me in tears when you started talking about all art, photos, designs, you put your heart and soul into was sold. It’s like our memories were sold to. All those things we fought for. This speech was everything everyone needs to hear.

Happy 30th birthday taylor!!! Now go out there and do whatever the hell you want this next decade!
