I can't describe what you guys mean to me. I don't feel very connected to people, like there's a permanant barrier between me and everyone else, but so many of you made me feel valued. Like I was in community with others, and the things I did mattered. My words, my ideas, my art, the kindess you've welcomed them with means everything to me. And although I never quite broke into the realm of friendship with any of you, you have know idea how happy I was just to know you, and to be known back.

It's incredible to me what a huge postive force OFMD has become in my life.

Just on its own, OFMD is a damn good show. You can turn on any episode and you're gonna have a good time. It's got great characters, fun layers to analyze, and on top of that it's really fucking funny. It's a comforting show to watch no matter what mood you're in.

And it has such good themes and messages! It encourages me to act more like myself and love more openly and enthusiastically! This show has, by miles, done more for my self-acceptance than years of therapy. It means so much to me, and it encourages me to treat myself with more compassion as I work towards a life I want to live. OFMD looks you in the eyes and it says it's never too late, you're lovable, and don't you forget it.

As if the show itself wasn't enough, the fandom! Sure, every fandom has its bad spots, but in my little corner here? Things are pretty great. I love checking out everyone's art and fics and sharing mine. This is such a talented, supportive space! I know that no matter how stressful things are I can pop on here for a bit to play in this space with everyone.

Just grateful, tonight, for having this show in my life. I'm glad I'm here in this space with you all.

Ok Anne and Mary R concept that has absolutely no basis in cannon and is committing the cardinal sin of pulling historical facts when convenient.

So basically the concept is: Hornigold era. Anne is MTF and Mary is dressing as a man and going by Mark so as not to be the only woman in the Ben Hornigold toxic masculinity boot camp. They both come out to each other as women at the same time and then immediately misunderstand what the other is saying as the same thing that they've got going on.

One of my favorite things they did in s2 was how they gave us everything we needed to be able to tag fics where Ed is the sweetest sub to ever sub as 100% canon compliant. He was out there wearing a little kitty collar with a bell, asking his captain to give him the mean voice, and swaying his shoulders cutely to indicate he wanted a kiss and make his collar jingle. Obviously everyone can write whatever dynamics speak to them, but that's all canon. No one can ever take that away from us.

I bought a couple of reprinted 19th century atlases years back with the idea of drawing something in them, but couldn’t think of a good subject until now. Graphite pencils and a bit of white ink on uhh… Polynesia. 27 × 20 cm.

Watching Rhys smile and keep looking at Taika to see if his improv will make Taika crack while also remaining in character as Stede radiating absolute sunshine are some small moments in the show I live for.
