Travis was still reeling from the intial shock and several thoughts running through his head that this sticky substance would be the death of him. Some nuclear waste or acid that would tear and rip through his skin. When he finally processed the words of Dallas, he looked up at his friend.

"What if water sets it off?" Always the worrier. "Like what if that makes the burning start and all my flesh begins to slide off my skin? Come with me." He pleaded. "I'm evoking the roommate code."

Dallas leans back sharply to avoid any contact from Travis and the mystery substance on his hands, unsure of what it was he had managed to get on himself but it looked sticky and that wasn't a sensation he wanted any part in.

"It's a bar, go wash them. Over there. Out of touch-y distance with me."

She had a point, one he didn't want to admit that she was right about. Instead, he sighed, shaking his head. He didn't even have time to react, before the phone was taken from him, and the embarrassment of their texts was displayed. "What the hell is pegging?" He asked, raising a brow. "Oh god, that isn't something that's going to involve me tied to something, right?"

Travis wouldn't lie, he was mildly scared by the possibility of that threat. He'd read enough about raged women to know that she could potentially be serious and go through with it. However, he also got amusement out of teasing her. "You don't scare me!" She did. "But come on, at least tell me what you think it is. What if it's some deadly poison? Then you wouldn't even have to murder me, because this would do it for you."

"I'd have to murder you, and you may think I'm joking but I'm not. My boyfriend works construction so I could lay your body in a foundation somewhere and no one would know. He'd help. He's already been to prison once for me so I know he'd do it again." Jordan advised with her hands extended. Maybe she wouldn't murder but she would have a fit that he would never forget if he dared touch her. "Don't! I'll kick you."

When she mentioned aloe, Travis hesitantly brought his hand up to his face and took a whiff of the substance. To his suprise, she was right, which comforted more than she could possibly know. "Oh... well, at least it's nothing gross. I can rest easy now knowing at least I won't get sunburnt on this hand." He laughed. "You should definitely sell it though... maybe not in this format, but I bet people could definitely use it in this weather. How do you manage the plants in this heat?"

Iris looked over and moved from behind the counter to give the man a wet napkin. "Here, sorry about that." As she said it she put the wet napkin on his hand so he could sop it up while she got to work cleaning the counter. "It's just some aloe. I had plants brought in to test out selling aloe for burns and all? Figured it'd be something good to sell for the summer and all the impending sunburns."

Travis tried to give a half-smile, although being completely disgusted by the sticky substance that covered his hand. He didn't fare well with stuff like this, but he didn't want to upset the woman. "Uh... well.. I'm sure its still..." He flustered over his words. "I'd say its definitely slime! Just really gross slime. Is it at least suppose to be this colour?"

“I was supposed to be slime…” Roxy sounded just as defeated as she felt. “I just wanted to make my one like i see people to on TikTok but it isn’t coming out how I want it to. I don’t know how you can mess it up this bad but I have. I promise it’s nothing disgusting, it just looks disgusting.”

"Dude, please help me." Travis said, although took some amusement out of the male's reaction. Teasingly, he moved his hand closer. "At least help me figure it out on what it was... what if its something deadly!"

Sebi, almost instinctually, let's the upper half of his torso bend back out of the way of the mans hand. "If you put that hand any closer to my face, I'll pass out." Seb didn't do sticky. "Not enough to clean whatever that is. Is there a bathroom 'round here?"

As much as he was disgusted by the substance on his hands, he couldn't help but be amused by her reaction. He took a look at the disinfectant spray, taking the glittery bottle with his clean hand. "What if I get shit on it?" He asked. "I mean I don't even know if it is shit... maybe you could take a sniff and tell me?" The corners of his lips perked up, as he stepped towards her, outstretching his hand. "Come on, just one whiff!"

"Is it gum?" She asked and stepped back as if he was infected with some kind of deadly disease. "Shit? Oh fuck no."

Jordan's hand moved to her nose, the other hand digging into her purse until she found the disinfectant spray that was pink and glittery. It smelt like candy. "Take this— keep it. Stay away from me."

Travis was grateful, and gave the woman a smile as he watched her retrieve the items that would ultimately help free his hands from whatever sticky substance it was. "Well, I'm glad you rocked up then." He gave a chuckle. At her question, he leaned down, hesitantly at first, before taking a sniff. "Oh god, whatever it is, it isn't pretty."

SJ grimaced as she looked at his hands. An unknown, sticky substance was never a good thing. "You are in luck, I always carry wipes and hand sanitizer with me." As a mother of three, she absolutely had to have those on hand. Even now when she was away from there, she carried those very items in her purse. The woman fished into her tote and grabbed what she needed before handing him a few wipes for him to clean his hands. "What the fuck did you touch, though? Does it smell weird?"

So much for a quick escape, he thought. He'd seen Eleanor coming, and hatched a plan to be able to slide past her in a hurried rush, not wanting to have that awkward conversation where he looks at her and remembers what their youth had been like.

"Uh, thanks." He said, as he took the wipes with his unsullied hand. With his other, he extended it toward her, not wanting to be rude and refuse her attempts at cleaning him up. "Maybe if they cleaned this building once in awhile... there's probably more spiders and rodents than tenants in this joint."

sometimes, eleanor forgets that she lives in the same apartment building with him until they bump into each other in said building.

"Ergh, oh god!" Travis said, as he lifted his hands up to reveal some sort of sticky substance that had attached itself to him. He attempted to shake it off, however, it had no effect.

"What the hell is this?" He questioned the other. "If this is shit, I'm actually going to pass out. Please tell me you've got some wipes or disinfectant on you."

"Well, if you're struggling then you should definitely not suffer in silence. You need to get the other staff and stand your ground." Travis asserted, however knowing he wouldn't have the same confidence to stand up to his boss.

He shot her a smirk. "Ooh, does someone have a story to tell?" He teased, as he picked up a spray bottle from behind the counter and got to work on cleaning the tables scattered around the bar. "Oh, not much really. Still same old same old." He shrugged, focusing on the task at hand. "I tried that speed dating thing a few weeks ago... disaster. Turns out I'm not Aurora Bay's most eligible bachelor."

"That'd be up to the boss." Layla had wondered every now and then whether Kaede would be interested, but she never remembered ever hearing him say such.

"Given the correct incentive, suddenly you lot can balance anything in life." Layla chuckles. Luckily, the men in her life didn't exhibit the very popular trope of weaponised incompetence. "Fine." She relented, tossing over a clean cloth for the man, "Now, what have I missed in the life of Travis?"

"Okay!" Travis shouted, as he snatched his phone back from her grasp. He didn't need Monique to see more of the embarrassing text thread between him and one of the customers from the store. "Enough of that. But wild right... like she literally came in asking for the Kama Sutra, asked for my number, and now she's sending these... very explicit texts about what she wants to do to me." He also didn't need her seeing his very well accepted responses to it. "Book girlies are freaky."

Travis felt as though he had offended her, which was something he really hadn't wanted to do. Although, her smile put him at ease slightly. "No, I get that. I mean I'm not exactly everyone's cup of tea, I can imagine." He didn't have to use his imagination that much. "But I'm fine with that. The people that want to be around me are the ones I want that, so I get it." Instead of trying to carry on that particular topic, he gestured with his head towards the roller rink. "Come on, show me your moves, Ruby."

“ I’m not trying to appeal to everyone in the world though, just my little corner of it. I know I’m not for everyone but there are people who seem to like me and what kind of things I do. So I tend to focus on that group versus trying to make everyone happy, if that makes sense?” Ruby explained as she glanced back at Travis with a small smile. She knew how her job seemed but she wasn’t trying to shove her face down everyone’s throats, just trying to do stuff she loved. “ not it’s okay. You didn’t sound heart as bad as some of people who have asked me about my work. “ Ruby explained as she looked back over to him “ you weren’t an asshole. Just had an honest question”!@trcvis
