Sunshower.
CJ rested his head on Lee’s chest, listening to the steady heartbeat thump in his ears. His eyes drooped as the movie continued playing and he stifled a yawn. “Movie’s boring,” He mumbled and rubbed his eyes, trying to stay awake. It was Lee’s choice for the movie night after all and Lee did stay awake during the whole of CJ’s Pitch Perfect movie night.
“Then pay attention, it’s actually really interesting,” Lee hissed, stroking a hand through CJ’s hair, teasing and playing with the bleached ends. CJ grumbled and closed his eyes, enjoying the touch as he listened to the movie. Something was distracting him though. Something he couldn’t quite make out, but it was disrupting the movie listening experience. CJ cracked open an eye to look around the room, finding nothing to his annoyance. His gaze rested out the window and onto a tree, its branches waving in the wind as the rain lashed down.
CJ frowned. Rain. There was rain. In summer? That’s what was different. The sound of rain hitting tin roofs, metal fences. The sound of rain pouring down from the sky and striking the ground. A small grin spread across his face and CJ sat up off of Lee’s chest and ran to the window to get a better look at the torrential rain shower.
“What the fuck are you doing-” Lee sighed from the couch, sitting up as he watched CJ stare out the window open mouthed. CJ turned back to look at him, the grin never leaving his face as he ran quickly over to Lee, pulling the shorter man up off the couch. “Come on, let’s go dancing,” CJ couldn’t stop his smile as he rushed Lee out the door. Both of them were barefoot and the rain got to them immediately, making CJ cold from the inside and out.
But he didn’t care.
CJ twirled Lee around, Lee who was reluctantly laughing and seemed to be enjoying himself. CJ who was whooping and cheering in the loud rain. They started doing a form of waltz and tried not to step on each other's feet as they both clung to each other and giggled.
CJ could feel the rain slowing down and the sun peek out from behind a cloud. Lee lifted his head from its spot on CJ’s shoulder and gave a small, genuine smile at his boyfriend. As they continued dancing, the remnants of the rain finally hit the sun’s light, and its production arced across the sky behind the two.
Two sets of rainbows in a sunshower.

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒.
I can feel the water erupting above my head. The warmed tiles beneath me, steaming from the scalding water. The crashing sound thats a constant reminder I’m the only one in this world.
3 things I could feel.
I can smell the steam, the hot water condensing. I didn’t think you could smell water, but I did. I could smell the remnants of the soap I used, swirling around and eventually sliding into the drain.
2 things I could smell.
I can taste blood. It doesn’t taste like copper, doesn’t taste like metal, doesn’t even taste like pennies. It tastes like blood in my mouth, my lips scratched and my tongue practically pierced through from my teeth.
1 thing I could taste.
I can’t feel myself. I can feel myself getting stuck inside my own head, the rush of the water turning into nasty, disgusting words that got stuck really fast. They echoed and bounced like there was nothing in my head, and even though I thought there was, it sure didn’t feel like it. I can’t even feel my throat constricting, but I know it’s happening, because my breathing quickened and came in short gasps. Everything is fading, and it’s fading fast. The steam is getting to me and I’m inhaling it like there’s no tomorrow. It’s all I can breathe in and it’s making me dizzy.
I feel sick. I feel my head hit the ground. I feel my eyes closing. I can’t feel the water hitting me anymore. I can’t feel pain. I can’t hear the words anymore.
I can.
I can’t.
0 things that could happen to me.

“Why be a king when you can be a God.”
headcanons for HADIE FROM DESCENDANTS
•His full name is Hades Prometheus Faery (I really liked the idea someone had of the middle name Prometheus, creds to them)
•Hades would often go force Hadie to go find out how Mal is and report back to him, just to check up on his daughter.
•Hadie stayed with his father and grew up under the neglectful eye of Hades, who rarely left the space of his cave. Hadie taught himself everything he knew, including how to handle all of the souls screaming at him on the isle, but it was a lot of work. Anytime he and Hades did communicate though, it was often in sarcastic remarks and yelling at each other which ended up in Hadie walking out in his worn out boots and finding a place to stay for the next few days.
•He’s like Descendants!Klaus from Umbrella Academy because of his powers. He resorts to alcohol on the Isle because it was more common than actual drugs, resulting in him growing up an alcoholic.
•Hades didn’t care.
•Woo Hadie for having two shit parents.
•No one touched Hadie. Everybody on the Isle knew he was Hades’ kid and left him alone, resulting in quite a lonely childhood, but he didn’t mind. He embraced it more as a teenager, but as a child he found it almost unbearable, talking to the souls instead.
•As a young kid he used to be very hyper and excitable and used to talk nonstop, but as he grew older, he started realising no one actually cared what he was saying and got quieter.
•Grew into his dads old leather coat, it used to gather on the floor around him but now it hangs at his knees, the bottom of it in tatters and coated in blue spray paint.
•Hadie has been friends with Uma for ages after falling into the water near the docks and she jumped in after. Uma invited him aboard the ship and he visits every week.
•They grew distant as they grew up, Uma finding her own crew in Harry Hook, Gil Legume and the Wharf Rats and Hadie venturing off on his own.
•Uma had told him about a girl called Mal who had destroyed her reputation and after finding out Mal was his sister, Hadie was disgusted with her and grew closer with Uma again.
•Harry taught him how to do eyeliner. Most definitely.
•He and Harry had a thing that never lasted.
•He smells like leather and gunpowder and on the occasional day, alcohol.

”You’re the problem.”
His ears rang and CJ stood there in shock, physically taking a step back, his stomach dropping. He swallowed hard, closes his eyes and opening them to see Lee still standing there. Still standing there with his fists clenched and his mouth set into a firm line. He looked.. so angry. So disappointed and frustrated. So many negative emotions rolled into one, and they were all directed right at CJ.
“Right. Yeah no, sorry. I am, aren’t I.”
CJ couldn’t even look at Lee as he felt tears prickling at the back of his eyes, and he looked away, chewing on his lip. He was desperately trying to hold back his tears, not wanting to seem pathetic or anything. But even so, his emotions were so enhanced right now, after being numbed and repressed after weeks of silent fighting with Lee, and stress of graduating and such. Everything was crashing down in this one moment and CJ was spiralling. Hard.
”Yeah, you kinda are the problem. You literally haven’t even contacted me in days and appear like you expect everything to be fine. It’s just- It’s kinda frustrating.”
Lee sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation. CJ couldn’t help but stifle a sob as he slid down the wall he was leaning against, staring at the ground. His heart tore a little and it felt like his entire body was numb at Lee’s words. They were harsh, and cold but.. it was true. He’d let Lee blow up his phone for three days while he stayed with someone else for the long weekend, without even telling his boyfriend. Lee was right. He was the problem in their relationship.
CJ couldn’t help but bury his head in his hands, unable to stop the flow of tears. A hard lump appeared in his throat and he squeezed his eyes shut, wiping them with his sleeve, causing it to get pushed up to about halfway up his forearm. CJ didn’t notice, instead he just took a shuddering breath, fidgeting on the floor. He heard a hitch in Lee’s breathing but he didn’t look up from his hands, unable to meet his boyfriends eye.
Lee didn’t say a word as he sat down next to CJ, leaning his head on the taller boys shoulder. CJ felt Lee take one of his arms, the one which the sleeve had been pushed up and CJ almost immediately gasped and snatched his arm away from his boyfriend. In Lee’s hands was CJ’s left arm. CJ’s left arm which happened to be decorated with scars, new and old, up and down his arms like a damn barcode. It had been the bain of his existence for a long, long time and he hadn’t even let Lee see it before. CJ closed his eyes in defeat, waiting for a reprimanding, or Lee scolding him on how he was so selfish. Just waiting for any kind of negative comment.
But before he could stammer out an explanation, or even move, he felt Lee press his lips to one of the scars near the top of his wrist, kissing it gently. He did this, over and over, until he had made his way to the end of the trail of pale, scarred skin and CJ opened his eyes to see Lee looking at him, sincerely. CJ didn’t know what Lee was thinking about, but he did know that in this moment he loved Lee so so much. He didn’t want to lose this boy. Not ever. But there was still the matter of the fight at hand.
“Are you going to break up with me?”
CJ said in the quietest voice, feeling like he just killed the silence of the room. But it needed to be asked. CJ felt his eyes watering again and this time, he let the tears slip down his cheeks. Lee’s eyes widened just a fraction and he wiped the tears from CJ’s cheeks and he then kissed CJ on the lips, soft and gentle, just like the kisses on his arms before pulling away.
“Does that answer your question?”
The word “yes” danced on his tongue but CJ just nodded. Lee opened his arms and CJ hugged him, his boyfriend, in a hug that signified that it was not the end of their relationship. Instead, it was more like another chapter.
