share your deepest headcanon

hi! i was gonna combine this prompt with the family tree prompt but that task became overwhelming so i will return to that at a later date instead… so, here’s my fave headcanon

basically since we first learnt about void 1, I have been headcanoning that Argos was born there. idk why i haven't written any of my thoughts down or talked about it, but its Truth to me.

i imagine that Argos' parents got lost in the voids when his mother was late in her pregnancy and ended up wandering for weeks in search of help. until they accidentally ended up in Void 1. they didn't know that's where they were at first, still hopelessly lost, but as they ventured deeper and the flora and fauna got more twisted and monstrous it became undeniable. it was probably terrifying for them. their baby could come at any time, they were still lost, everything around them was hostile, and the very atmosphere was now a threat to them.

thus came the first accidental death in argos' family: argos' dad.

i imagine argos' dad died in Void 1, attacked by one of the monsters inside. it became clear that this was moment where he had to choose between running and surviving at the expense of his heavily pregnant wife, or fighting and dying but buying her time to run. which wasn't a choice at all. that was his wife and unborn son, there was only ever one choice.

argos' mom ran and hid for days before she, miraculously, stumbled her way out of the void. she was rushed to a hospital where she held on just long enough to give birth to her baby boy. but there was something wrong, he had been warped by the atmosphere in Void 1 and was born with some of the characteristic features of the monsters there. miraculously, the baby ended up being otherwise healthy and normal...ish. unfortunately this isn't something argos' mom would ever get the relief of hearing as she succumbed to the effects of Void 1's atmosphere shortly after giving birth.

after that, baby argos bounced around from family member to family member. it seemed that whoever he stayed with, no matter how short, would have some bad luck fall upon them. everyone associated it to an after effect of being in Void 1, though it seemed to have a half life and the accidents became less and less intense.

still, no one would take argos in after that. no one except great great grandfather banana leaf, who raised argos from a young age until he flew the nest.

Thinking about how because Mr. Flower is the way he is, Thorn very often does whatever he can to get a genuine smile out of him.

Loosen him up, relax him a little.

Mr. Flower is so tense and serious all the time after all, but Thorn does run the risk of just getting on the poor man's nerves a lot too.

Mr. Flower smiles all day everyday on the job to strangers, but it's a very different kind of smile from the ones Thorn wants to see from Mr. Flower. Those smiles are for show. Forced, stiff and Thorn can easily see how much Mr. Flower struggles to keep it up by the end of the day. But when Thorn catches Mr. Flower alone, when he's more relaxed, when he gets a chance to unwind and do something he enjoys, he lets it slip. A real smile, warm and gentle as it raises the corners of Mr. Flower's eyes and allows for unfurled side petals like little angel wings.

Thorn can't get enough of it.

Thorn pays careful attention to what sorts of things Mr. Flower enjoys and what his sense of humour is like.

Luckily for Thorn, Mr. Flower is (begrudgingly) easily charmed by Thorn, so while it can be a bit of work, Thorn is often rewarded with those sweet smiles he craves, sprinkled by the softest little stifled laughs here and there to get the rose man through his boring days.

Hell, he even likes it when all he gets is a riled up Mr. Flower from his efforts. He's so cute when he's angry and flustered... But it's hard for Mr. Flower to get any work done when he's constantly being pestered or distracted, and Thorn can be a little (a lot) more than Mr. Flower knows how to handle.

Unfortunate that he's starting to find those moments away from Thorn becoming dull and lonely.

I've drawn Juniper Leaf and Mark before, but only once and not together like this! Jun as an OC is as old as Thorn is so I've had her for a couple years and intended to write a fic of her and Mark a couple years back but like all my fics, I never got to it.

Since making a fic as an entry took a lot out of me for the one, i just did a lil doodle if the guyz were bbz. Look at em!

Au where Argos, Mr. Flower and Mr. Plant all grew up together. Thorn is there, but as the mysterious weird rich kid who barely leaves their huge spooky manor. Never seen at school but sometimes you can catch them staring into the nearby pond where the other kids like to catch frogs and tadpoles.

surprising absolutely no one, im sure, i decided to do something for the pinkomen prompt today! my darlings <3

since i do SO MUCH art for them already, i decided to do something a little different… so i designed and constructed articulated paper dolls for them! i had a lot of fun sketching them out on card and cutting them out, though i was worried about the mourner’s thin joints with the split pins… they just about held though!

i decided to pose them around the garden because its summer and sunny and pretty and my mum’s garden is so beautiful, all her hard work on it pays off beautifully

so yay! flopsy and the mourner are out on a date in nature. they had a lot of fun :)

A heartfelt message from a secret admirer!!

This is part of a plargos fanfic I've been slowly working at for months. Perhaps one day it'll get done.

Letter in Plain Text below:

"Dear Mr. Plant, Not a day goes by where you're not on my mind, and I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I watched a lifeguard drown today. Kind of ironic, don't you think? I'd never seen anyone drown before, it was much quieter than I thought it would be. He didn't cry out like in the movies, just struggled to tread water and keep his head above the waves. I often feel like that too, you know? You make me feel like I'm struggling to keep my head above water, but I know being away from you will drag me under. I love you so much I can't breath.
