a lot of media assumes robots would be immortal but i think its a lot more interesting to explore robots dealing with their parts wearing down and battery life shortening and all the horrible little failings that come with being a complicated machine. sure they can replace parts but you'd assume you cant completely ship of theseus them, or it'd have pretty big rammifications on their sense of identity. idk. give me robots with distinct, unique signs of aging. as a treat.

my tech is very much an extension of myself. thats becoming more and more of a common place perspective but ive been "plugged in" for as long as i remember. immersing myself into the internet is more primary than second nature.

going anywhere without a connection is nerve wracking. im aware that it's an anxious attachment at best but all of my deepest connections, all of my skills, my hobbies, have existed behind a screen. it has such a big impact on my worldview i dont know how to even imagine living without it.

i DO have a life outside of internet and technology, but these two sides hold the same weight to me. these 1s and 0s tangible in my hands.

so how fitting.

to keep my devices near me. to sleep tangled in their cords. to treat them as kin and give them hospice in my own bed. my nest of loved ones, right within my grasp.
