fanfic writers, here’s a friendly reminder that you are not less of a writer if you haven’t posted anything in years, you are not less of a writer if your works aren’t as popular as other writers’, you are not less of a writer if some trolls left you rude comments (they either just want your attention or are simply intimidated/threatened by your talent), you are not less of a writer if you write short one-shots instead of a 100k novel-length fanfic, you are not less of a writer if you’re not satisfied with your writing (I promise you it’s so much better than you think, you should be proud of yourself), you are not less of a writer if you’re not comfortable posting any of your works at all.

you are always as valid as any other fellow writers out there.

another reminder: fanfic writing is not a competition, and it’s not a job. don’t put so much pressure on yourself. always remember, the point of writing fanfictions is that we get to have fun, escape reality into the world we create in which we can write anything we want.

it stops being a getaway and a safe place the second we treat writing fanfic as a job or a competition. no, you’re not writing for anybody. you’re writing for you. this world you create is just you and your blorbos. have fun. it’s your getaway.

Everyone thinks Aziraphale is Soft and Crowley is Sharp. I think that in many ways it is reversed.

Crowley is so smooth and suave in the way he socializes. He cares for nature in a way that is so natural and yet he tries to hide it under a facade of anger or abrasiveness. He has grown comfortable in his loose moral compass and truly seems to value the concept of a quiet life away from the chaos of heaven and hell.

Aziraphale, on the other hand, is all crisp, well-ironed clothes and meticulously organized belongings. He believes in good and evil and, although we see him change his tune slowly yet surely over the years, he has justified his own actions as heaven/God’s will, as simply ineffable, even if he does not fundamentally agree with the outcome. His approach to life on Earth is calculated yet spontaneous, lessening the harshness of his moral code’s effects on his behavior towards himself and others.

I have the firm belief that after Aziraphale’s return to heaven, Crowley decides to assimilate with the humans as best he can, tries to keep a piece of Aziraphale with him by settling down in a little plant shop and relearning how to stand on his own two feet so that maybe, one day, Aziraphale would return and he could trust himself to love the angel even if he very well could, one day, leave again.
