I’m back! I had previously been using this account for mouse enrichment, but no longer have a mouse. Now it will be a personal blog/a place to share my animals! I currently have two rabbits, a cat, five leopard geckos, hermit crabs, bettas, hissing cockroaches, and a mantis. I will soon be living with a beardie, a crestie, a tortoise, and rats, as well. I’d love to follow people who also have those things, and plants! If you fall under that category, give this post a like and I’ll follow you!

You crushed it!

Here’s another simple, common foraging toy. Simply fold the sides of one end of a toilet paper roll in to create a closed end. Then stuff some shredded paper or something similar in, add food, more paper, then fold the end to close the roll. I cut holes in because Sebastian will ignore it if I don’t 😂

it’s sad that “don’t get an animal if you can’t meet the conditions it requires to thrive” is a controversial opinion

I gave Sebastian a little bit of pumpkin today. He was skeptical at best

I’m always torn between hands, ears, and whiskers for what the cutest part of a mouse is. I think hands

how do you know when to feed him if he's foraging? I'd like to start using foraging, but right now i just feed my girls when their bowl is empty, so should i be scheduling? they seem to eat very irregularly, sometimes eating all their food in an hour and sometimes not for a few days.
When I feed Sebastian, I just toss it all in there every night. He usually gets a few blocks and his seed mix. What I notice is that he eats a lot of the seed right away, but saves the blocks for later. He comes out and sits on top of the bend a bridge every night around dinner time 😂 but that’s what I do for him, and it seems to work out well!

Friends!
I’m in search of a blog, or blogs, that are fairly knowledgeable about scorpions and/or bioactive setups. Ideally someone who also has patience 😂 I have a lot of questions

This is a pretty common foraging toy. To make it, you take a toilet paper roll and cut it into strips. I ended up having to make smaller strips, and only used four. You then just layer them over to make a ball. I stuffed it with some shredded paper and treats, and he promptly dragged it out of view 🙃

Here’s some of my favorites of my big loser boy
Send me your cats!
It’s only 11am and I’m already having a bit of a rough day, and with all the bad news today I’m sure that I’m not the only one. Please submit cute cat photos to my blog, and I’ll be sharing them throughout today! <3 Cute cats won’t fix everything, but they can make us all feel a little better.

Hello! My name is Cara and I have one male mouse named Cookie. I havent been able to find anything on my specific question so I'm hoping you will be able to answer it. Is aromatherapy safe for mice? I recently was gifted a diffuser and some all natural essential oils, and it would be fantastic to mask some of the odors that come along with having a male mouse. But I want him to be safe above all. Any help would be appreciated!!
Hey there friend! Unfortunately, many essential oils aren’t safe for the lil guy, and those that would be safe would likely irritate him. They’ve got pretty sensitive respiratory systems. Sebastian is on eco earth and we noticed a significant difference in odor after switching him off carefresh/aspen! Maybe try some different types of bedding to see if they help :)
