Hm.. I think "retroslop" is just a new version of hating on queer kids. People arent hating on furries as much nowaday so they target kids who like things for kids trying to emulate a character or style from a bygone time they weren necessarily apart of.

And anyway, "slop" is now used as term for mostly content farms making the same low effort thing in a hope to get money. Calling someone's little fun thing they did "slop" just isnt nice! Well none of it is nice.

I know this also been adopted by other queer kids to call out bad or inappropriate design, but that's not what I'm talking here. If you wanna call out that you shouldn't call it the word now mostly used to attack your community.

I'm just saying if mos of the cosplays or designs u see walking around have pride flags on them, you probably need to consider what you're trying to do insulting these people. Retroslop is kind of just another way to say "poser", but say it to mostly neurodivergent queer kids.

Have an open mindset! Go hat on people who are actually causing problems for greater humanity! Thas just what I wanted to say.

whats your favorite bug

i like.. lots of bugs.... but i really really enjoy cicadas and treehoppers. treehoppers make me sad because they are so wndrous but they are so so tiny so i can only truly enjoy their glory thru photos of them that are super up close.

like... he is so wonderful but I am too blind to see him ever. this also applies to weevils bc god DAMN they are also small

This is a boatsman, and I think they are so cute and cool like look at them

They look like little aliens, and they swim funny too

They can make a hella loud noise too which is cool

BUT my all time favorite has to go to the water scavenger beetle

Like. Look at that thang. Its perfect. It’s a beetle, AND it likes water. What more could you desire?

Punctuating Dialogue
