Why did I just dreamt about someone from the ClassicaLoid Staff (Voice Actor) spoiled that a season 3 is coming up years in the future. He also told us that Hasshie is based on a Japanese composer in the 1900s who is from Hamamatsu. When I searched the name (in my dream), it has a meaning "great grey bird" HRLFPPFPD??? (his name starts with an S). Everything happens at LINE social app. 😭 100% that exact Japanese composer doesn't exist but it is a wild dream lmao

What is a ClassicaLoid?

ClassicaLoid in the series is mysterious entity that appears in this work. It was originally based on "Arkheloid," which was developed by Arkhe Corporation but was stalled as the project never got off the ground.

Kyougo Otowa was once employed by Arkhe Corporation and was researching how to make the "ultimate musical instrument." He said that "humans are the ones who make the most amazing music," and together with his assistant Akira Mitsuru, who specializes in artificial intelligence, he created ClassicaLoid. He said, "We just mixed things together randomly and it came together."

All of them are given the same name as the classical composers, and they also retain the memories of the historical musical geniuses, but the reason why they are created for this is not revealed.

In the story, they are described as "reincarnations" or "copies" of the musical geniuses.

According to Yoichi Fujita, the director of the 1st season of ClassicaLoid, the characters were designed based on the quirky traits of the composers, not just their talents. For example, Beethoven is portrayed as "stubborn and obsessive," while Mozart is "into pranks and dirty jokes." In addition, the ClassicaLoids have a special ability called Musik.

Physically, they are not much different from humans, but they can nullify some Musiks and occasionally display superhuman physical abilities. They also have traits that show they are different from humans, such as when they eat roasted tangerine peel, their heads turn into giant tangerines with faces painted on them, turning them into grotesque monsters. According to Pad-kun, this is a metabolic function unique to ClassicaLoid, and they return to their original form overnight.

In the first season, eight ClassicaLoids (Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Badarzewska, and Bach) appeared. In the second season, Wagner and Dvorak joined as the new ClassicaLoid characters.

While most appear human, Dvorak is oddly introduced in the form of a pygmy hippopotamus. Director Fujita later stated that "this anime doesn't have enough pygmy hippos."

Dvorak was originally created by Kyougo Otowa, who wanted a pet other than Hasshie (shoebill), and wanted to keep a pygmy hippopotamus as a pet, which he personally liked. However, as a result of playing Dvorak's music to awaken it, it awakened as a ClassicaLoid hippopotamus.

She was never particularly strong. That’s why she turned her eyes toward the magic of the Huppermages of Bonta. Though clumsy at first, stumbling through spells and invocations, she refused to give up.

Her current guardian is the king of Bonta, Joris Jurgen, but he wasn't the first.
