Matt is one of my oldest original characters that I've recently redesigned! He shares a body with a "reaper" - a spirit that inhabits other's bodies to complete his task : guide souls to the afterlife and prevent those souls from being stolen - named Crow. In his childhood, Crow and Matt became contracted (the link of their souls and sharing of a body) and Matt allows Crow access to both his body and the Mortal Plane. Crow can exist both within Matt's body and as a separate entity, but existing outside of their shared body exhausts him, so he mostly sticks to sharing. Matt's hair turned pure white in his childhood due to stress, and when Crow takes control, his usual form takes over, thus the changes in the color to a black and red.
