Hot take: I enjoyed the movie. Snow White was my favorite princess when I was little and I was bitter when the interviews with Ziegler and the other actors came out. I wanted nothing more for it to tank because why is the mouse making these descisions. I watched it last night and stayed up till three drawing this because I LIKED the saturation of her outfit because it seemed to symbolize the color and hope the last kingdom had. I LIKED that she decided to stand up for her kingdom; sure it was rushed and I feel that maybe this could have inspired a whole new princess due to how far off it is from the original, but through it all, Snow White maintained her kindness. She was empathetic and yeah some parts were kind of forced but she’s a disney princess and modern disney sucks rn. I didn’t really have a strong repulsion of any of the songs aside from Gal Gadot’s and that’s most likely in part due to her lack of emotion or range during the songs.

In summary: I liked it. Felt like they could have adapted the story line for another original princess. I will always be partial to the hand-drawn princesses, or at least animated, but yeah. Didnt think it deserved the hate. I hope they stop making remakes though and Disney wakes the hell up. Someone needed a reality check and to be knocked down a few pegs.
