Tbh I love the hunger games author bc of the way she writes katniss. I feel like a lot of the time authors write young adult fiction and forget they're writing about....young adults. But Katniss, she ACTS 16, 17 years old. She's dramatic, and easily angered, and can change her mind in an instant. Not to mention how she deals with the constant shitshow around her. Sure, I could do without the love triangle, but I feel like it's very within character for katniss to act the way she does, all wishy washy and confused. She's SIXTEEN. As an adult reading these books, I can finally pinpoint what bothers me about katniss, why I find her vaguely annoying now. It's because she's a fucking TEENAGER. of course she's annoying!! It's practically required for teenagers to be annoying!!!
