Today marks two years since the story wrapped up in chapter 1000. I can’t believe it’s been so long! My hopes are up to get news from the author soon, but most importantly I’m glad and thankful for what we did get to read ❤️ Dear Lord, how much I miss those days when my free time revolved around making up theories (and many times failing at them real bad lol). Where’s the time travel machine when you need it?

I was confused why the chapter’s rating was lower than usual (thought it was really bad or something), but I guess it’s because it ended with a cliffhanger of Heinrey hearing Navier is giving birth prematurely then notice of hiatus… the comments are supportive though, so I’m still confused 😅

Since we’re nearing the end of the main story, it makes sense why they’re taking a hiatus. They probably want to focus on adapting the rest of the chapters better.

And I can’t find the translation anywhere else. I’ve seen the manhwa, comic, version but I want to read the novel itself too

Yeah, it wasn’t free even on yonder, although they did have daily unlocks there. You can earn coins by watching ads on Wattpad, but there’s a daily limit of 10 ads (which is enough for two chs). They also might have events and stuff, but I’m not really sure how it works there yet. I’d recommend watching ads daily and saving up coins so you can binge later. I’m kind of doing that because I don’t really want to spend money after I did on Yonder just to lose access to everything I have there.

What do you think of Grand Duke Kaufman from RE? I remember hating that he married Princess Charlotte just to help in Navier with kingdom politics or something 😭 most of everyone else seems to get a happy ending (except for the antagonists of course) but he gets a pretty bummer ending overall because 1. He marries someone he doesn’t love and 2. Can’t get over Navier. That’s another thing: why can’t he get over her? 😭😭

I don’t hate that he married Charlotte because as an arranged marriage, it would work between them, but I dislike the way it was more him deceiving her because he knows she liked him and lying that he’s in love with her. I guess the author wanted to punish him after the whole love potion incident and that was Kaufman’s way of making up things (mostly bcs of his guilt bcs even Navier told him not to do something like that just for her). I don’t remember what happened between him and Charlotte at the end—if he actually did start to develop feelings for her— so I can’t really say anything, but it was frustrating seeing the author doing scenes where he’s pining for Navier when it’s side story 30 💀 (I think there was also a scene where he and Sovieshu were drinking together pining for Navier iirc??? 😭😭). There was a scene after Navier’s big accident when he saved her where he said something like he it was enough that he was able to hold her and he can finally move on now (idk), and I feel it should’ve ended there. You could still see he has lingering feelings for her in some scenes after that, but there wasn’t any need for detailed pining and suffering after that esp in the side stories LMAO. I would’ve rather we saw him move on and maybe a short side story where he and Charlotte become a happily married couple after many years with him still having a political/business friendship with Navier since they had that big deal between their two kingdoms from the beginning of the story, so i understand that it wouldn’t have made sense for him to disappear and Navier to completely cut him off after the love potion incident.

Why he can’t get over her…. help, I don’t know too, but Navier’s thoughts are actually really fun and interesting to read in the novel (you can’t really see all her thoughts in webtoon form since it’s hard to include everything ), so I imagine it’s hard for him when he’s stuck hearing all her thoughts, especially when that is why he fell for her in the first place? The only way he’d be able to slowly forget about her and move on is if they stop seeing each other for years lol.

if I had to summarize my thoughts about him is that he’s a fun character, but there isn’t anything really special about him. His mind-power and feelings are kinda interesting to see, which adds to his character I guess. But he’s also…just there like that at some point.

I don’t particularly agree with the everyone had a happy ending except the antagonists part bcs: Sovieshu had this comatose ending where he’s living happily with Navier in an alternative world (so it still feels messed up and that is excluding all the hallucinations and mental breakdowns he had after losing Navier and Glorym), and Ergi himself says he’s miserable at the end bcs he’s still stuck in the past, so can you really still call this happy? For me, no. This is why I don’t really agree when people say all the other character/love interests had a happy ending when Sovieshu, Ergi, and Kaufman are all kinda miserable at the end lmao. But I guess this is an unpopular opinion… I just think it’s kinda superficial to reduce it to that when it’s more complicated than that imo. Even with some other characters, they’re alive, but is that a completely happy ending? For some characters, maybe yes, but I wouldn’t say for all of them… the story is kinda dark at some times (I mean, it already is 😅) when you think about it like that. I will have to agree that Christa’s ending was unnecessary and too much though.

Hi, I was wondering how you would rank all of AlphaTarts works: Husband Thief, Remarried Empress, Men of the Harem (and maybe other works idk about)

Hi! Hmm this is a really hard question to answer…

This is kinda biased, but Men of the Harem is my favorite, especially in terms of plot. Though I have to admit that the ending…is the worst out of all alphatart’s works bcs it feels uncompleted. But I’m completely attached to all the characters and villains at the end and feel like they have become a part of me, so I can’t let go of it even after years… It’s also mostly a fantasy-focused story compared to their other works.

I think out of all Alphatart works, Husband Thief is the one that has the best, most beautiful, and romantic ending that really lingers on your mind after finishing it. And as I reread the story, I could tell the author knew and was prepared how they wanted to end it with all the foreshadowings throughout the story. I feel like the author was afraid to drag it like their previous works and ended it right after the main plot finishesd, so I feel like they could’ve explored some more stuff in the story (but it wasn’t to the point where it felt needed and crucial, so I think it’s just a me problem bcs when I love a story, I want to know every single detail about it lol)

If I was asked this question a year ago, maybe I would’ve confidently said I love it more than remarried empress, but since I’ve been reading TRE novel a lot lately, I have to admit that TRE has a bigger plot, worldview, and characters than it. Although Husband Thief has fantasy elements, it’s a more unrequited love and yearning kind of story, focusing more on the 4 main characters instead. And the 4 main characters are all normal humans without any special powers (plus the FL isn’t Royalty and is the lowest ranking one of them). It’s a more family drama soap opera sort of story so it kinda resembles TRE in that way with its drama. But I do think that lots of people who had issues with TRE will like Husband Thief more bcs it does lots of stuff the opposite way (the beginning is the happy part, it ends right after the romance starts and the FL admits her feelings, and the villain gets a slight redemption & growth and sorta gets a happy open-ending, although they’ve lost FL)

So, in terms of endings, I’d say Husband Thief > Remarried empress > Men of the Harem. TRE doesn’t have a bad ending but lots of stuff were…left open-ended or slightly unresolved when it could’ve been explored more. Both TRE and MOTH have lots of wasted potential (tho the author at least managed to finish most of the unresolved stuff in the side stories for TRE)

In terms of enjoyment as of now, it would probably: Men of the Harem > Husband Thief (mostly bcs im a masochist who enjoys unrequited love and yearning and bittersweet endings) > Remarried Empress.

Actually, I wasn’t sure if I liked Alphatart’s writing or just loved MOTH, bcs although I do like TRE, I’m more obsessed with MOTH. But after reading husband thief, I kinda realized that I do like their writing and how they write and portray love. Sometimes, I enjoy one more than the other, so they all change over time depending on what I’m currently looking for 😂 maybe the author will one day release more side stories for all of them and even create another work in MOTH world bcs of all the things they could’ve explored, so who knows… 😅

One thing I have to say is that Alphatart’s works are really polarizing 👀 you will see someone like one of their works (or main characters) while completely hating the other, so I think this question is really subjective because everyone will have a different answer to it.

Umm so it’s just been confirmed that MOTH is getting a kdrama adaption

I honestly don’t know what to say… I have no expectations like TRE, im just wondering how they will even be able to adapt it 💀 TRE has fantasy elements but it’s not really the whole focus like MOTH😅 plus it’s a 1000 ch long story with vampires, zombies, ghouls, mermaids, elves, etc lmao.

Watch them remove all the fantasy elements and just make Ranamun the only endgame and Royal consort and call it a day 🫥 I’m half-joking, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they merge some consorts into one bcs they’re too many 💀

The way the most romantic line in MOTH by Latil was this and it wasn’t to any of the male leads 😭 (in fact, she never even says ily to any of the male leads)

This chapter was so beautiful, KR comments on Naver were saying if Anya was a man, she and Latil would’ve been fated to be together 💀

Like what in the doomed yuri was this (also did I forget to mention that she guarded her grave for 500 years after she died never moving once from the place…)

What’s worse is Alphatart paired up Anya with Latil’s trash villain brother at the end who got imprisoned 💀 to this day, I never understood that ship bcs it was so random and it never even got developed lmaoo

There was also a plot line near the end where Aini was gonna pretend to marry that trash brother so she can pretend to be by his side and betray him for Latil 😂 but even after that, there was still a love triangle between Aini, her ex lover, and Latil’s other half-brother, so she still didn’t escape the clutch of “romance with FL’s brother” lol (tho that was left open-ended and was at least still interesting to read)

And not to mention Husband Thief…

This was after the villain married 😭 FL literally says every time she broke up with someone bcs of her, she’d only cry for a few mins, then get over it bcs of how used she got to her interfering and ruining her love life, but when she (the villain) left their home and got married, her tears wouldn’t stop even after 5 minutes, meaning that she was more important to her than all those men and relationships she’s ever been in…

Like what in the love/hate was this 😂

Then the villain casually realizing near the end that the reason why she turned back time was bcs of the FL, not the two male leads, bcs she wanted her to stay by her side and not get married 😭 I’m convinced Alphatart made them niece and aunt so people don’t ship them at this point LOL (as if that’d stop people always).

Alphatart is literally made to be a wlw writer like from Navier and Rashta, Lari and Mote (+Cici! we can't forget Cici) and then we have whatever the hell is going on with Latil and Aini from MOTH and then the protag and antagonist at Husband Thief. It's crazy

Imagine if the reason alphatart never writes proper wlw stories is just because they're a huge fan of doomed yuri (we're never winning💔) genuinely so funny because wydm there are multiple instances of flirting, dancing, confessing their love to each other, and straight up daydreaming between these supposedly heterosexual wives. rip female characters written by alphatart you would've loved good luck babe by Chappell Roan

Last season ended with angst between Latil and Sonnaught, and this season ended with Sonnaught back at his rightful place by Latil’s side 🥰

I love the small detail of Sonnaught on guard when Meradim arrives when you zoom in 💀

Sonnaught probably like: another harem member!?!?!! (Well…it’s 2 if you count Girgol bcs they arrived at the same time 😭🤣)

The way they ended it was so chaotic — Girgol hiding within the Willang prince’s delegation, then Meradim suddenly arriving, stealing the spotlight from both of them by telling Latil he wants to become Royal consort 🤣
