A Much Needed Vacation for our Black Paladins~

After season 6, they really do need a break.

I have this thing going on, on my Deviantart- Waxbottle.deviantart.com People can go to my journal and ask me or my characters things and I can draw a response if I can think of one haha. One of the requests was to see Lothol and Egacka in fun hats : D I only had to do like, two but I wanted to practice and this was pretty fun!

I really like loop animations, and listening to chill music when you watch ‘em? It’s relaxing. But also a fun challenge- I’m really enjoying trying new things! Maybe one day I will be able to actually afford a real animation program that suits me hahaha!  This is Lothol, of course, he's like my experiment-child, and actually wearing some Star Vs the Forces of Evil horns... just because I thought it would look good on him, and he would be the type of person to wear them for the hell of it. He's also got an over-the-top knife... sword... thing. Calling it a Beetlehorn Blade. The handle is actually the horns and head of a large beetle- such as the kind Gearika eat. But hey, I'm seen walking sticks made from deer horns wrapped in snakeskin (creepy and weird as hell), so why can't he have a sword made from a beetle's head?

Soooooo- @tigeythemighty got me to watch Voltron and- I'm sorry but Pidge is so savage X'D I normally don't care for her type of character. But she's also so damn fierce XD I love this kid! SO I decided to have a little fun with her- And drew her with everyone else's haircuts : P Let me know which ya'll like haha- it was fun to draw- no regrets. Ya'll should check out the show too if you haven't - it's good and I can't wait for the next season to come out!

This is Egg’s garage band, Screaming by Proxy. They’re not the best band but they have fun, and it’s worth the trouble to get together to play every week. I spent hella long on this to get everything moving in a legible way X’D hahaha It was fun tho! I've recently gotten into a comic called Grey Eyes- it's lovely and made by this cool person called @drmistytang ~  Ya'll should check it out cause each page is full color and the panels are well-handled- the characters are great and idk I am just really excited to see what happens next.

Anyway- Luke is lovely, and I wanted to do a nice lienart tonight, so I of course picked Luke to draw : D I wanted to put more emphasis on the lines and shadows than details on clothes like pattern, but maybe sometime I will come back in and add patterns just to see what it looks like. For now, I'm happy with this : D

speaking of hockey- I also wanted to draw Lothol and his Boyfriend Whiske in the home and away jerseys from the Cryptids team- created by @raccoonhearted of course. They’re a fun couple to draw actually. I figured they must be at home on the couch just watching the game and goofing off.

I think the jerseys look good together XD

Another drawing of Mathy- this time in his Hockey stuff XD  I’d wanted to see how long it would take me to do a sketch and how long to add color so I would know for commissions, and @raccoonhearted was cool enough to let me use their character on the fly : D Turns out drawing the end of the hockey stick was the hardest part. Go figure haha!

If this animates, that’ll be great!  I wanted to make a small cute animation of my guy Lothol playing with a toy piano. I’m glad I went with 5 eyes- I had considered 4. But four is boring.  Please enjoy the silliness. It was just a quick fun exercise I feel went rather well. If I have a proper animation thing I might have done more detail but atm all I have are internet gif makers X’’’S

Pornshop Florist - a metal/scream band >> Lothol's favorite band. They are the shit. I wanted to make a Band Shirt for them so I could make one for myself and wear it! So while they aren't a real band, to me they are and I love them. The inspiration for them came from this little Flower shop on the corner near near Chinatown. It had all of its windows covered so you couldn't see inside, and every window was lined with a square of Neon lights that came on at night. For a long time I assumed it was a porn shop. but one day I saw it in the day time and it said Florist. I was blown away haha! I started calling it the Pornshop Florist and then I realized what a good Band Name that was. And thus, Pornshop Florist was Born. And now that it has a Band Shirt, it is a real band. This band is meant to be in-universe, Based on Huldhel where Lothol is from. The words on the bottom left are in Gearikan. I intend to make more band shirts for other popular Gearikan Bands. I am gonna make one for myself and if anyone else wants one, let me know and I will see if I can get that set to print and sell a few!
