So, here're my thoughts on the "Sampo is an Emanator" theory:
I think he is.
To explain my reasoning, I'm going to first say that it's for the same reason I do not think Sparkle is an Emanator. Aha is repeatedly stated to be chaotic and will destructive things on a whim to amuse itself. This is very similar to how Sparkle herself operates- doing whatever she wants regardless of morality.
We know that Aha has a habit of blessing things that just don't make sense for it to bless at all, like the Mourning Actors and the worm. So making Sparkle an Emanator doesn't really follow that pattern given the similarity in ideology.
However, Sparkle also openly complains about Sampo having self-imposed limits, and Sampo himself also states he can't stand for Sparkle's idea of Elation.
We don't know too much about Sampo's views on Elation, but he seems to prefer laughing with people to laughing at people, or keeping everyone else in on the joke. Him abiding by morals and rules would then contrast Aha's more self-centeredness and inclination towards chaos. But, he still does not reject Elation like the Mourning Actors do, and instead follows it as a Fool.
So, why make Sampo an Emanator? Because it would probably be more entertaining for Aha to see a guy with a contradictory ideology still following Elation than someone who does the same thing as the Aeon.
There's a popular fan theory that Gerald based Shadow's appearance off of murals depicting Sonic, but ultimately it has never been confirmed in canon that this is the reason.
For the age stuff, I'll admit it was intentionally tricky, since it depends on how you quantify Shadow's age.
Physically, Shadow is about the same age as Sonic. However, chronologically he has been around for over fifty years. But, since Shadow cannot be older than Maria, his physical age should not be indicative of how long he was active for before he was put in stasis. Since Maria was also a child when she died, Shadow cannot have been conscious for as many years as Sonic has been alive, since Sonic is a teenager.
I can't say I understand Honkai Star Rail, but this Sampo guy is kind of wild.
It's like-
"We're going to talk a lot about how great an impersonator this guy is. The guards have trouble catching him because he disguises himself so well that no one can tell even up close. He impersonates the guards themselves sometimes. They had to get rid of all the wigs in the city because of him. He is a menace."
"But, he will not be impersonating anybody in this game. In fact, someone else will impersonate him."
one of my greatest pet peeves in fiction, and it is truly stupid I know, is that no one seems to understand how genuinely hard it is to kill someone via stabbing. stab wounds have a mortality rate of like 5%. especially abdominal stabbing. tv shows and movies show dudes getting stabbed one time in the lower abdomen with a tiny knife and then they fall over. like what did he die of precisely. that man died of Small Knife
Yes, I know that, but do YOU know that aces and aros in relationships are still aces and aros? Do you internalize that? Are you aware that we don't just suddenly turn straight, or gay or anything else?
Yes, even demis
Are you aware that a sex repulsed asexual will still be sex repulsed even in a relationship, and so, might never fuck you?
Are you aware that a romance repulsed aro will still be romance repulsed even in a seemingly normative relationship and might not like doing typical romantic gestures and activities?
Are you aware that a sex neutral or positive asexual might not actually be sexually attracted to you at all even if they do fuck you?
Are you aware that a romance neutral or positive aro might not actually be romantically into you even if they are comfortable with typical romantic gestures?
Are you aware that our identities are just as permanent as yours?
hi do y'all mind if i misuse this blog entirely for a second. idk why i'm asking i don't actually care they found a new snake it's a New Snake we didn't know about this snake before!!!!
I decided to look up Team Rocket for fun, and learned that the writers seemed to have been playing a game to see how many tragic backstories they could give Jessie before they stopped making sense.
I feel like if a villain wants to figure out a speedster's secret identity, they should stop making traps and instead just focus on who buys the most groceries. If a speedster eats eight thousand pounds a day, then there's gotta be someone who's pulled out their phone to film a guy lugging that much food out of a grocery store.
Also, it would be a nightmare to stand behind that guy in the checkout line.
The most painful non-toxic thing that can happen in a fandom, I have found:
When you like two characters as separate individuals, but they happen to be the most popular ship in the fandom, so it's therefore nearly impossible to find any works focusing on them that aren't romantic.
