I’d like to update these with newer drawings!! (and have a chance to draw Eric too!)

Headcanons:

- Alphonsus and Minerva’s nicknames are Phonsie and Minnie. In school/friends/acquaintances  they call him “Al” so when he’s a teen his mother calling him out by “Phonsie” is cutsy and embarrassing for him.

- Al is more gentle and kind, Minnie is more articulate and strict. She’s spoiled by her father. Al is usually the voice of reason, and Minnie often gets them both in trouble

- Erwin is very proud of both kids, but he loves showing off how cute his daughter is when she was very little. (in a modern au) he would take his baby to the office ever once and a while. Hanji at times would get pissed because she doesn’t want to risk her catching any illnesses.

- Hanji gets postpartum depression after she has the twins, Erwin and family and friends (Mike, Nanaba, Molbit, Levi etc) was a huge support system for them as they start off their family.

- Hanji and Erwin are the type of parents that work together on projects related to their kids, together they planned the nursery. They turned the living room in a daycare like  enviorment for the kids when they were small.

- both Erwin and Hanji are workaholics before kids, and after they had children they made changes to their lives to adapt to being parents (I imagine it wasn’t easy, especially for Hanji, but as Hanji spent time with the babies her heart grew soft and she became incredibly attached to them.)

- The kids LOVE Mike. Period.

“Hold still,” Erwin mused as his son straightened his back against the edge of the wall. There were older notches on the surface from his own childhood, marks his own father made when he stood there excited as his own son was, once upon a time. Erwin placed the flat side the ruler to push down the brown tousle of hair get an accurate measure.

“Dad! Did you get it?” cried the six year old.

“Yup, I got it.” He hummed as he made the mark. “You’re a little taller than I was, look.”

He turned around and the boy’s mouth opened wide in a smile. “Mommy! Mommy look!!!” He scuttled off.

Erwin looked off and smiled seeing the boy run into Hanji as she walked into the hallway.

“What is it, sweetie?” she cooed.

He ran back, “I’m going to be taller than Dad!”

“Whoa hold it, I didn’t say that,” Erwin complained in a playful manner.

“But if I’m taller now then when you were—then, I’m gonna just keep being taller than you.” He reasoned.

Erwin shuffled the boy’s hair as he whined at his father’s rough hand messing it up further.

Hanji grinned from ear to ear.

Erwin was the chief adviser for an old king in a large well known kingdom. During his years working for him, by pure coincidence Erwin happen cross upon indiscriminate evidence that the throne wasn’t rightfully his. An ancient family tree that was purposely hidden in a place away before the wrong hands could find the document and destroy it. He wondered if fate had played a funny game with him in discovering this truth.

The child princess, the king’s granddaughter, Historia, was hailed to be the next heir—all but a political scheme to keep a certain group of men powerful and influential.  Eventually the old king passed, and the six year old child was draped in a cape three times her size; a jeweled crown that continuously slipped off from her silken blonde hair. An innocent child who still knew nothing about the world around her.

Erwin felt like a caretaker instead of adviser. But no matter, Erwin did his job, while he continued to poke around, secretly doing research based on his discovery. He narrowed down his findings to a single name, Hanji Zoe. The supposed true royal blood rested within the person bearing this name.

Gathering a group of trusted individuals, Erwin secretly planned searches. After months of this, Erwin finally caught on a lead in a small village at the very ends of the kingdom. Erwin traveled himself with a fellow companion, Levi, until he arrived.

Spotting a group of people chatting idly under and apple tree, He came up to them to make the usual question.

“I’m looking for someone named Hanji Zoe. Has anyone heard or seen of someone that goes by that name?”

Just in that moment, Levi sensed something and pulled out his sword pushing Erwin back.

A person dropped and landed on their feet with an apple in their hand. Ruffled brown hair tied in a half ponytail, with a curious smile.

“It’s been a long time since someone called me that. I go by the name Hans now,” Taking a bite out of the apple, Hanji placed a hand on her hip. “So, care to tell me why someone’s looking for little ‘ol me?”

Erwin placed a hand on Levi’s shoulder. He lowered his guard.

Seeing the burning spark behind her eyes served to chase away any suspicion. His search had finally ended.

“I’d rather we speak in private.”
