Finale
So after overstaying my visa here in Thailand for over 2 weeks I'm finally leaving. I fly out of Bangkok in the morning and arrive in Byron Bay a day later.
I've had the best few weeks with the most amazing girls. Sorry my posts have been so minimal, I've just been having way too much fun to even look at my phone. Definitely going to keep in touch with these ladies. I'd love to say we've been soaking up the culture, but realistically we've been partying hard and relaxing in the sun even harder.
Anyway, in case you didn't know, I got the job in Australia! I'm going to be spending the next four and a half months in Byron Bay, learning how to be a Divemaster. So if anyone was thinking of visiting me, now is your chance. I'm finally going to be settled for more than 5 days and I can't bloody wait. Everyone is welcome!

I've just eaten my first ever "Buddha bowl" and it was delicious. It was a Mexican Buddha bowl and it was so yummy that I didn't remember to take a picture of it until I'd polished off the whole thing. Before I devoured it, it actually looked amazing. It was brown rice, lettuce, black beans, sweetcorn, chilli con chickpeas, jalapenos, tortilla chips and mango salsa. Top nosh!

Bloody amazing
On Wednesday I went diving to a world top 10 dive site and was lucky enough to swim with a 4m wide manta ray!! It was probably one of the best experiences of my entire life. Absolutely incredible. I would upload a video but I'm still waiting for a guy from my group to send it to me.

Right now I'm on my way to Koh Lanta. I decided to walk from my hostel to the pier to catch my ferry because I could do with the exercise. But I didn't really take into account that it was a 45 minute walk in 30°C midday heat. Half way there I stopped for lunch and to have a break from the sweating. As I left, a lovely woman saw me struggling to put my back pack on and offered me a ride on the back of her scooter for free. Nearly fell off due to the weight of my bag on my back but made it alive. Lovely woman.

Today I decided to treat myself (finally) to a private room! After months of hostel bunk beds I now have a cosy double bed, flat screen tv, private balcony, and an amazingly modern and clean bathroom all to myself! Heaven!

Here's a picture from my time on Koh Tao. One of the Divemasters at my dive school took me on a day trip to Shark Bay. We went snorkelling and found this giant turtle swimming about. We also saw half a dozen black tipped reef sharks, but they were too fast for us to get a good picture of them.

Back on the grid
After spending 2 whole weeks on Koh Tao, passing my advanced diver course, going on some incredible dives with sharks and giant schools of fish, making great friends, nearly being convinced to stay forever, and having one final big night out at the Fish Bowl, I finally made it off the island and back onto mainland Thailand!
I've spent the last couple of days in the Khao Sok National park. I went trekking through one of the worlds oldest rainforests, explored a cool cave walking through water that was sometimes up to my neck, found monkeys and gibbons on a boat safari, got fooled by our local guide with really smart brain teaser games, slept in a cute bamboo raft bungalow, and just generally had a fab time.

I am now a fully certified Advanced Adventurer diver!
The dives we did were amazing and I loved it so much that I've applied for a Divemaster internship in Australia. Fingers crossed!
