It occurred to that I don't think I've talk to a single person on the ethics committee since I got here. Which is weird because at my old Foundation they came around monthly to yell at someone in my unit.

What's your magic system like? I'm trying to get a better grasp on it so I can do a better job recommending spells for Kri to learn in the future.

Hm... how do I put it? There's a lot of math to it, and a lot of it is exchanging one thing for another or shifting its place in reality. Like... extinguishing a lamp to light a flame. Blood, mystical words, waving hands, and related materials often have a place in spellcasting. It doesn't... deplete mana or anything fantastical like that, but using a lot of it sure can feel like it's depleted something. Hah, mostly calories. Eating food and a nap helps

I often think of it as, how long can you go on casting spells until you pass out. Or no longer be the one in control of your own body. Cause you can depleat it and keep fighting.
