thank you very much!!! you're so kind :3c ooooh this is a wonderful idea, thank you for sending it in!! just to let you know - i'm British (unfortunately), and my personal experience of sign language is influenced by BSL, so i've tried to make this widely applicable for anyone who may use sign language. i hope you don't mind! 🥰

Wally Darling x Reader who uses sign language headcanons

⭐ Wally is versed in several types of sign language, as well as Makaton and lip-reading. as a neighbourly fellow who is ever-curious about the lovely people who stumble into his life, Wally realised early on that communication via voiced speech alone wasn't inclusive, practical, or possible for some of his friends. in fact, Wally first began learning sign language to communicate with Julie, who has a tendency to become nonverbal when overwhelmed. soon, Wally and the rest of the neighbourhood realised the enormous benefits of being versed in sign language, and began hosting impromptu classes to practice their signing. everyone in the neighbourhood is able to communicate well through sign language, but Wally is undoubtedly the most fluent! ⭐ when Wally first meets you, he is adorably excited by the way you talk. although he loves talking to his friends through sign, Wally finds conversations with you incredibly stimulating. you're interesting, and funny, and know just what to sign to make him break out into peals of his odd, halting laughter. indeed, Wally talks much faster via sign than he does through verbal speech. he often gets swept up in the act of signing; sometimes, you'll need to grab hold of his hands to get him to slow down, as he signs too fast in his excitement! ⭐ Wally is fascinated by the visuals of you signing. as we know, Wally eats with his eyes, but the things he visually devours are not limited to food. early into your friendship, Wally shyly requests that you ramble to him in sign so he can become more accustomed to your unique movements and sign-related dialect. you're happy to do so, but after a few minutes of talking to Wally, you realise his eyes have grown large: akin to an owl's eyes, absorbing all light like a black hole. you gesture to Wally to snap him out of his trance, and it takes a few blinks for his pupils to return to their normal size. he giggles, and apologises, signing: "Sorry! You speak beautifully. I was hungry." for the rest of the day, you press Wally to elaborate on what he means, but he just gives you a coy look and a shake of his head. awww i loved writing this one, thanks so much @xo-destiny!! we need more sign language headcanons in the world, and discussion of disability and non-voiced ways of communication too. hope you like this 🥰💖

Okay so while we get snippets of this on the birthday event things, I'm just going into a bit more detail.

Lucifer

Internally delighted that it's your bday

Won't show it externally but he's happy he gets to spend your birthday with you

Will go a bit excessive on gifts because it's your birthday and he feels like spoiling you

Heart swells with love and pride as you open and love your gifts; he knew just what to get you. He pays attention to you, after all!

10/10 will spoil you with stuff you like

Mammon

Ah shit ah FUCK-

Man is so happy it's your birthday

But he forgot until last minute that it was your birthday

Now he has nothing to give to you because he both forgot and is broke

Will end up giving you either something SUPER expensive somehow or like a coupon book of "Mammon Favors" or something

3/10 he forgot but he's trying

Leviathan

Happy it's your birthday, even if you are a normie at times!

Assuming you like anime (and fr you probably do if you play this game), he'll get you merch from your favorite shows

Maybe some stuff from his favorites as well like a t-shirt so you two can match.

You like cosplaying? He has you covered. You like figurines? He has you covered. Stickers? Probably ordered them months in advance and hid the from Mammon.

10/10 fully prepared with anime stuffs that Lucifer didn't buy

Satan

Happy about your birthday but a bit nervous

He wants everything to go well so he's kinda snippy leading up to your birthday. What if something goes wrong and he lashes out and ruins your day?

Ends up being okay though.

Him being him, he'll either buy you books or cat-themed stuff

Would buy you special cursed books or items

But Lucifer said no

Like a jerk

8/10, makes sure everything goes perfectly at the cost of his sanity

Well he just HAS to doll you up!

If you like it, great! He'll pick out a beautiful dress or stunning tux for you.

Will probably get you cosmetic stuff, skin/body care stuff, and will probably get you at least a FEW explicit items

6/10, you could've done without him opening the lingerie he got for you in front of the others

He's got food stuffs covered

He won't eat it

...

Okay he ate some of it but it got replaced right away-

Makes sure you have whatever your favorite food is for your birthday (with Luke and Barbatos' help)

Manages to (mostly) restrain his ungodly appetite for the day to make sure you get as much as you want

Once you let him really dig in though he practically devours the entire table

Will also make sure you get a 100/10 cake

7/10, clearly cares about you and making sure you're happy

Belphegor

It's your birthday

He cares but...it's Belphie.

Definitely the least involved in party planning (other than Mammon, because again, the boy forgot)

Will get you a meaningful gift, though.

May be a blanket, may be a pillow, may be something you confided in wanting to him during a late-night sleepover when you couldn't sleep

Will do his darndest to stay awake the entire time

But no promises

7/10, will cuddle with you and be super supportive of whatever you'd like to do that day

i. takami keigo

first of all, he is a cuddler. small spoon, big spoon, it does not matter as long as he gets to have you all to himself, cuddled up with him.

during long nights where he has to work overtime, he'll leave you a message or voice note, telling you to go to bed early and eat dinner without him, so you won't have you stay up late waiting for him to come back home.

in correlation to the headcanon above, the next day he'll cook two portions of your favorite breakfast to make up for it - and eat it with you <3

when he can, in his spare time, he visits you wherever you are.

like you're going to get a random text, reading 'where r u'

that's when you're not working.

if you're working, he'll memorize your schedule and break time so he can go visit you.

i think he'd be pretty open with his relationship to the media, but of course, his moments with you are kept private.

shameless. absolutely shameless in public.

pda? if you're comfortable with it he'll shamelessly give you affection in public.

if you're not, he'll respect your boundaries and keep those moments behind closed doors.

dates are the best.

he has range, like you guys could be in a five-star restaurant looking expensive or wearing dirty pajama wear in a pillow fort watching animal compilation videos on youtube.

he's known to be very talkative around the people he likes, so if you're also a talkative person.... no one will be able to understand you both when you're talking.

if you're a listener, that's fine, he's have a one-sided conversation with you! anything, as long as you're with him.

in the mornings, he probably has to get up pretty early for patrol, but if your waking up time is close to his, he'll wake you up with gentle kisses peppered all over your face.

if you wake up pretty late, expect sticky notes all over the house you both share :)

your nights usually end with you leaning on the headboard of your bed, scrolling on your phone, and him, laying on your legs, power napping or twitter-war-ing with endeavour. they're really funny.

Here's a soft Keigo drabble I came up w/ just now.

Gentle reminder that comments + reblogs, are appreciated!

So Keigo has a day off of work one morning, and after his usual shower, and you cooking breakfast together, you cozy up back in the bedroom, and as he's rummaging for one of his more favored oversized, softer shirts, you get up and stand beside him, and then very gently hug him.

He freezes, cause he's never gonna be used to your gentle, delicate touch, and how you're always so careful with him.

You carefully pull away, cause you've learned that when he freezes up, he's in protective / hunt mode.

But he slowly, aloofly, and seemingly almost mechanically, leans back into your touch, and he awkwardly relaxes.

And so you sit him on the bed, and he sits you on his lap, and you ask "Kei.. bubs, what's going on?" In a barely audible whisper.

And he just closes his eyes, and rests his forehead on to your shoulder, and curls his legs up a bit, as to nonverbally, cautiously allow himself, to /just/ show a sliver, of his pleading desperation and neediness for you to stay with him.

He puts your hands on his sides, and gently guides them down to his hips, and to his back. He wraps his arms around you, and in a barely audible murmur, he begs "please." Like a scared child.

So you hold him gently, delicately running your fingers, and palms along his scarred and smooth, and slightly sun-kissed-tan skin, and he starts crying.

He just falls apart in your hands, like wet paper in a paper shredder. His body is trembling from how overwhelmed he is, cause he remembers, he's safe and loved and accepted, not just for his money, his position of power, no. But for him, as he is. Mistakes, bad choices, childish curiosities, his quirky personality, his healing from his trauma, bruises, bumps, scrapes, scars, his laugh, his wittiness, and all, and everything in-between. and he has an actual home. Not just your shared penthouse, but you. Your arms. Your hands. Your eyes. Your heart. Your soul. Your mind. You.

He's become accustomed to adjusting to things, no matter how odd and uncomfy and awkward. He's always adjusting and getting used to and settling.

But with you? He'll never adjust to it. He'll never be used to it. You surprise him again, and again, and again, and again.

He falls apart, graciously, in gratitude and love and adoration and appreciation. He falls apart, shedding one more layer of darkness. One more insecurity off of his soul, as he becomes consumed by your in his opinion, heavenly light, again and again, and again, mad again, and again.

And you're always there to pick up the pieces, and put him back together again, and again, and again, and again.

And he worships you for it, by allowing himself to be selfish with you.. cause he's become so accustomed with being told being selfish, is a really bad thing.

But you've taught him, it's good. In fact, it's your favored personality trait of his.
