I can't be the only kid who heard a name -- in a book, a movie, on TV, even in passing -- and was so BlOwN AwAy by how absolutely pretty the name was that you became immediately obsessed with it, and wished desperately that it could be your name. TBH it probably happened multiple times.

This week is ridiculously chaotic, so I haven’t been/won’t be around a whole lot and wanted to just call myself out for being kind of unresponsive. Mark’s out of town for work and I’m here trying to survive with the kids and work and an elderly dog and yeah… treading water, it’s fine.

Plus some dumb rambling, please ignore me…

Also kind of beating myself up about an art project. I’ve crumpled and tossed so many pieces of paper in the past few days, it’s getting ridiculous, but I want it to be perfect. Like I’ve kind of gotten it in my head that everything I make needs to be better than the last, like I should be improving linearly, which is completely irrational, but you know, perfectionism and what have you. Like I’m competing with myself constantly, turning it into an assignment, which is ruining the process. Probably need to take a step back from it for a minute, I don’t know.

Sorry for being like this, my voice of reason isn’t home and I don’t want to put a damper on his trip making him listen to my weirdness, so it all has to go somewhere.
