ׂ╰┈➤ she gets injured on a mission and returns to her partner, y/n, to be patched up and comforted.

“Just A Scratch, My Dear.”

amélie felt as if it was a chore to even drag herself through the garden to the front door. her whole body ached, and her legs particularly felt as if they were on fire.

despite the intense loathing she felt towards her state, amélie opened the door. it was warm inside, and she slammed the door behind her to avoid any heat escaping.

her first instinct was to call out to her lover, but she moved her hands down from rubbing her eyes to find they were already there.

“y/n,” amélie said, with as much emotion as she could muster. she tried to say it with surprise, with love… anything that could be something.

y/n smiled at her. “you okay? poor little spider, all muddy. let me run you a bath,” they cooed.

and with that they ran off, leaving amélie to pull herself up the stairs to the bathroom. she finally noticed the muddy state of her lower half as she ascended to the first floor step by step, and cursed herself for getting so dirty.

amélie struggled up the remaining steps, appearing in her lover’s line of sight.

“oh, amélie!” y/n cooed. “if i’d known you were sore, i’d have helped you!”

they rushed to her side, gently taking her weight and leading her to the bathroom. the white tub was filled with warm, soapy water. amélie saw it as relaxing.

as y/n rushed around to find towels that were fluffy and sponges that were soft, amélie stripped of her clothes and lowered herself into the bath. the water was soothing, and she sunk down to rest against the bottom of the tub.

y/n returned to find their precious spider relaxing with her eyes closed. she looked peaceful, for once.

y/n gently washed amélie’s hair and body, then helped her up out of the bath and wrapped a soft white towel around her.

amélie didn’t seem quite there as all this happened, as if she was half asleep.

“tired?” y/n questioned.

“tired,” amélie responded.

after a half-second of consideration, y/n picked amélie up carried her to their bedroom. not even bothering to undress themself or have her dress, y/n laid amélie down on the bed and wrapped themself around her.

➸ how much effort do you expect her to put into baking? the idea was yours, she’s just going along with it.

➸ if you force her to choose what to make, she’ll say the first thing that comes to mind. chocolate chip cookies.

➸ don’t let her bake but let her be in charge. give her the recipe and have her read it to you.

➸ if she were to do the baking, the cookies would come out wrong. they’d probably be burned.

➸ but she didn’t do the baking, so they came out fine!

❀ you’re probably making cupcakes. you’re doing most of the work, while she sits on the counter telling the viewers what you’re doing.

❀ she helps make the icing once the cupcakes in the the oven, though. she makes pink icing and white icing so she can ‘make it look cute’.

❀ the cupcakes come out perfectly! well, most of them. a few are a bit burned. but she pours heaps of icing over every cupcake,

⛧ you’re more than likely making separate things at the same time. she’s making some fancy little french pastry, you’re making shortbread.

⛧ she wouldn’t start a conversation, and if you were to start a conversation with her it would be very one sided. she’s too focussed.

⛧ she’s probably listening to music, either out loud or in headphones. it depends on your preference.

⛧ once you finish baking, you’d try what each other has made. hers tastes perfect. why expect anything less than perfect?

⛧ she’ll probably sit in a corner unless another ex-talon person is there, then she may talk to them.

⛧ make sure you have lots of wine. red wine.

⛧ for the first year or two, she probably won’t buy you a present unless you’re really close.

⛧ but after that, you’re getting small gifts, that get less expensive and more thoughtful as the years go on.

⛧ if you wake up between half past five and nine o’clock in the morning, she’ll be gone. don’t question her about it. she’s visiting gérard.

⛧ if you wake up before she leaves, she’ll cuddle you close. if you wake up after, she’ll do the same, pretending she never left.

⛧ she’s cold to the touch. if you like this, it’s a bonus. if you don’t, she’ll put her pyjamas in the dryer before bed so they’re warm.

⛧ despite how she appears, her hold is quite gentle. her crosshairs are the most dangerous place in the world, but you could swear her arms are the safest.

⛧ it’s night when you ask to cuddle? guaranteed. evening? guaranteed. early morning? guaranteed. she’s not busy? guaranteed. other times? she may need a bit of persuasion, but you’re at least getting an arm around your waist.

⛧ if you ask for something extra, such as snacks or a hot water bottle, she’s getting it. but only if you’ll share. which you will. she’ll make you.

⛧ you’ll have to be the one to initiate cuddles. she’ll never ask. asking makes her feel weak. talon made her feel like she can never be weak. even if she has her emotions back, it didn’t just erase her trauma.
